Located across from the fire station on Honmachi Street, this restaurant is on the second floor up a staircase. Upon entering, both the owner and the two female staff members are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is pleasant. They have a pot of oden prepared with konjac, egg, thick fried tofu, fish cake, and daikon radish. The broth is light in color but the flavors are well infused and delicious. After finishing the oden, they clean up the stove and pot, and then serve a variety of kushikatsu including meat, shrimp, potato, onion, and red sausage with a fluffy batter that is easy to eat. It's nice to have potato in the kushikatsu selection. To finish, they serve udon noodles made with the oden broth. It was delicious, I will definitely come back! Thank you for the meal!

After the self-restraint due to Corona was lifted, we visited this restaurant. My husband loves their oden! Even though we still don't feel completely at ease, we decided to dine out for a change of pace. My husband, who is a Showa-era person, loves whale meat skewers. The fried skewers have a fluffy coating and a rich sauce, which is their distinctive feature. It's great that you can order just one skewer from a variety of options. The oden is light and you can drink up the broth easily! Our favorite is the spring onion! It's a reasonably priced and cozy restaurant where you can relax and enjoy your meal. Thank you for the delicious meal once again.

I was planning to have dinner at home, but I lost the energy to cook when I got back, so I decided to eat out nearby! I activated my neighborhood series! It's cold, and my husband definitely needs his evening drink (laughs), so how about some oden? We ended up coming here last minute. The entrance is a bit hidden on the second floor of a building. There are spacious tables! Oden! First, the usual daikon radish, konjac, and thick fried tofu! It's delicious with a light broth! The creative oden is served one by one! The rolled omelette is delicious with a flavorful broth. I also tried the kushikatsu! The batter is a bit different (*^^*) It's a batter that seems to have been made with carbonated water. I didn't take notes, but they use a special batter for frying! It's close by, so I'll visit again! Thank you for the meal!

Visited on a Saturday night. The shop was run by the owner in the kitchen and a lovely female manager in the dining area. I was craving for dashi, so I decided to have oden. The menu stated that they use natural dashi without any artificial seasonings. I tried beef tendon, egg, daikon radish, potato, omelette, Kyoto duck, and Kujo green onion, as well as tomato. Everything was delicious and I finished all the dashi. If I had to nitpick, the tomato was a bit too acidic for my taste. The dashi was still tasty with the added acidity, but it might depend on the season or the tomato itself. Overall, it was a great place to enjoy delicious oden in a cozy atmosphere. I look forward to trying their kushikatsu next time.

Oden was said to be put in the pot if you ask for a certain number, so I asked for quite a lot, but it didn't fit in the pot. The taste was amazing, very delicious oden. I was surprised. The broth is not too sweet or too salty, it's just right, and the color is really lovely. I don't use it, but the mustard comes in a small plastic bag, like the one you get in bento boxes, which is a bit disappointing. Maybe it's for hygiene reasons, but still disappointing. I don't use it, so it's a shame. I've never had kushikatsu before, it has a unique texture. The batter is fluffy, like a corn dog. It's very easy to eat. However, it was disappointing that everything, even the ones I didn't order in pairs, were all counted as two and served.

We were drawn to the sign for oden and kushikatsu, and decided to enter with a friend. The restaurant was lively with salarymen after work, and had a relaxing atmosphere. Both the oden and kushikatsu were delicious and reasonably priced, making us want to come back again!

A restaurant near Tamachi Yonchome Station that focuses on oden and kushikatsu. The interior was full of several groups of customers. It might be a good idea to check for available seats and make a reservation before going. (Luckily, we were able to find seats this time.) We started with a toast with beer and then promptly ordered several oden dishes. We decided to also order a small pot as an additional charge, which they brought to our table. While we were enjoying some speed menu items as appetizers, the oden in the pot arrived. It tasted really good! The service was also great, so I would like to go back again if I have the chance. When it gets warmer, I might try their kushikatsu main dishes as well.

Darshimaru ◾️ 2018/1 Located in Tanimachi 4-chome, this restaurant serves kushikatsu and oden. The operating hours are from 17:00 to 24:00. It's an interesting combination of oden and kushikatsu. The interior of the restaurant has about 20 wooden tables and chairs, and smoking is allowed. The main menu items (excluding tax) are as follows: 【Kushikatsu】 Fluffy Kushikatsu 80 yen Bara (pork) 170 yen Hire (pork) 180 yen Chicken Karaage 180 yen Large shrimp 250 yen Ham katsu 150 yen Red sausage 100 yen Pickled ginger 130 yen Lotus root 150 yen Quail egg 130 yen Onion 80 yen Potato 90 yen Eggplant 100 yen Asparagus tempura 230 yen Yam 150 yen Cheese 100 yen Shishito pepper with garlic 120 yen Shiitake mushroom 150 yen Pumpkin 100 yen Octopus 100 yen Smelt 100 yen Scallop 180 yen Chikuwa (fish cake) 120 yen Shiso and garlic 100 yen Firecracker (cheese-filled jalapeno) 150 yen Baby corn 130 yen Zucchini 100 yen 【Oden】 Simmered daikon radish 150 yen Thick fried tofu 120 yen Egg 120 yen Spring greens 300 yen Tomato 300 yen Cheese tomato 380 yen Kaiware (radish sprouts) 190 yen Potato 150 yen Green onion 120 yen Lettuce 230 yen Shirataki konnyaku 120 yen Konnyaku 100 yen Chikuwa (fish cake) 130 yen Grilled egg 200 yen Beef tendon (with dashi/ponzu) 250 yen Octopus 300 yen Grilled tofu 200 yen Flat noodle 130 yen Corn 200 yen Kujo green onion kenchaku (pickled mustard) 300 yen Cabbage roll 350 yen Bone-in sausage 270 yen Burdock root 130 yen Enoki mushroom wrapped in bacon 260 yen Oden pot (price per item) 200 yen And many more items on the menu. The kushikatsu was served on an aluminum tray and had a slightly white coating. The homemade sauce was delicious, and double dipping was not allowed. The oden was authentic, with a variety of options available. The overall impression was that the restaurant was reasonably priced, but we ended up spending more than expected due to overeating and drinking. It might be better to opt for a course menu rather than ordering individual items. Despite the unexpected budget overrun, the food was delicious, and we would like to visit this restaurant again.

This is a restaurant that serves oden and kushikatsu. The name of the restaurant is "Dashi Maru," and it seems to be particular about its broth. When actually tasting it, the broth is rich and quite elaborate. Even if you order oden as a single item, when you order a certain amount, they serve it in a pot, so you can always enjoy it hot, and the broth becomes richer over time. Cabbage rolls and white leeks are cooked on the spot. It was a delicious restaurant, so I would like to try ordering kushikatsu next time. Thank you for having us.

The deep-fried skewers with fermented wheat flour batter are so delicious that you can eat as many as you want. The oden, made with high-quality ingredients, has the best broth! Especially the tomato oden, with the perfect balance of dashi and tomato acidity. For a more adventurous taste, I recommend trying duck leeks and chrysanthemum greens. Definitely worth a try!
