One of the most cost-effective all-you-can-eat chain restaurants is the Shabu-Shabu Shabu from the Skiaraku Group. I finally had the opportunity to visit for the first time. The location is on the 6th floor of the Kyu Plaza Building along Nagahori-dori in Shinsaibashi. For those of a certain age, it might be easier to refer to it as the Sony Building. There is a Barbecue restaurant on the upper floors called Barbacoa Shinsaibashi. The 1st floor used to be ZARA at the entrance of Shinsaibashi, but now it's a drugstore. Loft, which was across the street, became an H&M due to building reconstruction, and the flagship store of Uniqlo was closed... Shinsaibashi, the fashion district, is undergoing significant changes. Leaving that aside, it's all-you-can-eat time! The interior of the restaurant is bright and has a nice sense of cleanliness. On this day, I ordered the Kirishima Kurobuta & Gyumisuji all-you-can-eat (lunch for 2,199 yen) that I saw in some release. The basic broth is white dashi and sukiyaki broth (with one egg), and you can change the white dashi or add up to 4 broths for an additional fee. The drink bar is also available for an extra charge. Vegetables, salad, rice, curry, and desserts are included in the lunch price. Ordering is done through a tablet. Once you choose your course, you can order the meat on the tablet. I started with two plates of Kirishima Kurobuta and Gyumisuji, and in the meantime, I went to get vegetables, water, and sauce. The meat seems to be pre-cut, and once you place your order, it is served promptly. There are also potato salad and raw vegetables, but I skipped them since I was going to consume them in the shabu-shabu. I filled my plate with mainly Chinese cabbage, leeks, and finely chopped aromatic vegetables, along with tofu and mushrooms. I started with ponzu sauce. For the white dashi, I added Chinese cabbage and pork, and for the sukiyaki broth, I added tofu, mushrooms, leeks, and beef. The meat slices were quite thin, but they were just right for shabu-shabu. The Kirishima Kurobuta with white dashi and ponzu sauce was delicious, and the Gyumisuji had a unique texture due to the tendons. I then tried the beef, beef kalbi, San-gen pork shoulder loin, and San-gen pork belly one serving each for comparison, skipping the chicken. The additional menu items of Kirishima Kurobuta and Gyumisuji were the best, so I kept ordering them until I was completely full. I switched the sukiyaki broth to sesame sauce at the end, which was also delicious. I ate until I couldn't move and then said thank you for the meal. The lunch service is until 4 p.m., so there were also some solo diners who seemed to be office workers. Although I only had three plates of San-gen pork, there are various options such as the all-you-can-eat vegetables and side dishes starting from 1,099 yen, so I might visit more often. [Good Points of This Visit] Adding the same broth is free
