This is a casual Italian restaurant located on Hotaru Street in Hoshino Resort Tomamu. Each table is equipped with an IH grill plate, so you can enjoy grilling meat and vegetables yourself. The lamb chops were huge! The most impressive dish was the lamb chops. They were priced at 1,100 yen each, which seemed expensive, but they were surprisingly large and delicious. They were tender and juicy, and tasted great with salt and pepper. The deer ham was smoked just right and surprisingly easy to eat and delicious. The menu had some unique items like deer ham and raclette, which added to the experience.

On the second night, my husband, daughter, and I decided to head to the "Hotaru Street" located just a walk away from the Tomamu The Tower to figure out what to have for dinner. "Hotaru Street" is known for being Japan's first ski-in ski-out town where you can enjoy dining and shopping while skiing in the winter. There are two shops for shopping - an outdoor shop and a wine shop, and six dining options ranging from ramen and soup curry to Italian and steak dinner. The evening around 6 pm was enchanting with the sunset, lights, and snowy scenery. The air was clear and refreshing, making it a delightful experience for my daughter to breathe in the clean air without a mask. In late March, Tomamu was still quite cold with temperatures dropping to around -3 to -4 degrees Celsius at night. We passed by a kotatsu lounge where people were enjoying warm dishes like oden in the cold weather, but we decided to dine at a soup curry restaurant called "Hokkaido Italian Altezza Tomamu" as my daughter wanted pizza. After a 40-minute wait, we finally got seated in the cozy and casual restaurant. We celebrated my daughter and husband's first skiing experience with drinks like Sapporo Classic draft beer and Hokkaido sparkling wine. We enjoyed dishes like Ezo deer prosciutto, truffle fried potatoes, Italian BBQ beef fillet, raclette cheese and sausage pizza, and sea urchin and shrimp spaghetti. The food was delicious, especially the raclette cheese pizza which my daughter loved. The atmosphere was family-friendly, and we had a great time dining together in the beautiful snowy night.

I felt like eating Italian food and having a beer during the day, so I chose pizza. The Margherita pizza seemed cheap at 1100 yen for this area. It had a characteristic of having a fluffy crust. The crust was delicious. In addition to that, we also ordered the sausage raclette, and it turned out to be a great lunchtime drink.

On the second day, the weather forecast predicted rain, so we decided to take it easy in the morning and go to the pool in the afternoon. For lunch, we walked to the restaurant area and decided to have pizza. The restaurant had a variety of options like soup curry, seafood bowls, and ramen. We arrived right when they opened and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered Quattro Formaggi, Margherita, and potato and cod spaghetti for lunch, which came with salad and dessert at a good price. The salad was fresh and cheesy, the pizza had a thick crust with a nice cheese balance, and the spaghetti was al dente with delicious cod and potato flavors. The gelato dessert was a bit firm but had a rich taste. Overall, if you're looking for a convenient and tasty lunch option at Hoshino Resort Tomamu, this place is recommended. We may not visit again, but we enjoyed our meal here!

Families and couples are common here, and the staff advised that ordering a full course for two might be too much, which I agree with since I usually can't finish a full course. So I followed their suggestion and ordered for one person. I started with the appetizer and it was so delicious that I ordered an extra plate. The meat dish was also served, and I was surprised to find out that I had to cook it on a hot plate myself. It's unusual for an Italian restaurant to have a course where you cook your own food, but it was delicious. I ordered a beer for drinks and cheers! It was tasty! I'm quite picky about flavors, but the wine selection was limited to domestic ones only, so I ended up choosing an expensive one which was a mistake! I wish they had at least some Italian wines like Chianti Classico. Overall, I had a fun and delicious experience. Thank you to all the staff!

On a Saturday dinner during my stay at Hoshino Resort Tomamu, I decided to visit an Italian restaurant within the hotel facilities. The restaurant had a casual and relaxed atmosphere, which was a nice change from the buffet-style restaurants that were prevalent in the area. I ordered dishes such as Caprese salad, Camembert cheese, grilled vegetables with raclette cheese, baked king crab legs, and soup pasta. I also had a glass of sparkling wine from Hokkaido. The baked king crab legs were served with a tomato-based sauce, which was a unique and delicious flavor that I don't usually encounter. The soup pasta also had crab in it, adding a Hokkaido touch to the dish. For those who want to try crab dishes with a twist or prefer a more relaxed dining experience compared to the bustling buffet restaurants in the area, I would recommend this Italian restaurant at Tomamu Resort.

I am lounging on the sofa in the room when someone suggests, "Shall we go eat soon?" Hmm, it's a bit early, but let's finish before it gets crowded. Among the 20 or so restaurants, we chose "Altezza Tomamu," an Italian restaurant located in the highest place on Hotaru Street, surrounded by forests. We have already tried donburi, kaiseki, sushi, izakaya, and Genghis Khan during this trip, so it's time for Western food. First, let's toast with a Sapporo Classic draft beer. We plan to have a late-night snack, so we order something light. - Black truffle and sea urchin cheese sauce pasta... ¥2,520 (tax included) It seems like we are eating a lot of sea urchin, but it's so delicious! The pasta, generously topped with sea urchin and sprinkled with truffle, looks very tasty. Let's mix it well and eat. Sea urchin and cheese cream sauce go well together. The truffle aroma is nice! It was a very delicious pasta. - King crab and asparagus fettuccine with sauce Americaine... ¥2,820 (tax included) King crab and asparagus. A pasta that feels like Hokkaido! The rich Americaine sauce is delicious! - Margherita pizza... ¥1,180 (tax included) Let's start with the classic Margherita. Is the mozzarella cheese from Hokkaido? The chewy crust was very delicious! - Prosciutto, potato, and tomato Genovese pizza... ¥1,780 (tax included) Lastly, prosciutto and potato. This is also a pizza that feels like Hokkaido. The combination with Genovese sauce is excellent. "Altezza Tomamu" is a hotel-priced restaurant, so the value for money is not the best, but the pasta and pizza were very delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Hoshino Resorts Tomamu has an Italian restaurant where you can walk in around 5 PM without a reservation. The highlights were the Raclette with warm vegetables, the Fettuccine with snow crab and scallops in Américaine sauce, and the Salmon Carpaccio. The Raclette cheese was delicious, the pasta was tasty with flavorful crab, but the salmon lacked freshness. We had two drinks each and the total cost for two people was around 9800 yen, which was a good value for the quality of food and drinks.

I enjoyed an Italian barbecue where raclette cheese and meat were cooked on a hot plate on the table. I ordered beef fillet and lamb chops, both were tender and delicious. They provided tomato sauce and salt and pepper for seasoning, and you cook the meat yourself. The staff only gave me one tip, "don't overcook it." I also ordered caprese salad and other dishes, which were all generous portions. The highlight was definitely the raclette cheese, I ended up getting seconds. I would come back just for that.

In the extreme cold, feeling defeated, I gave up skiing and came down from the mountain. I felt like having something warm to drink, so I entered this restaurant and asked if they had any warm alcohol. They said they didn't, but when I asked, they made me a hot wine! The side dish for the alcohol was truffle potatoes. The last time I had this was over 10 years ago at the Capella Hotel in Singapore. It's hard to find the same amazing taste I had back then (by the way, the one at the Royal Bar in the Palace Hotel is quite delicious), but today's potatoes were exquisite! I never expected to find such a dish in the extreme cold of Hokkaido! It warmed both my heart and body.

Italian cuisine that makes the most of Hokkaido ingredients. The ingredients were excellent, including the tagliata and raclette, but the highlight was the made-to-order pasta where you can choose your favorite ingredients. It may be a bit pricey, but being able to enjoy pasta tailored to your preferences is very satisfying and highly recommended. This time, I chose snow crab, scallops, octopus, green asparagus, tomato cream sauce, and original fresh pasta. The pasta cost around 5000 yen, but since it was made with my favorite ingredients, it was delicious after all.

I went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Hokkaido. On the first day, I stayed at Tomamu and went to have dinner. I walked through the connecting skywalk to Hotaru Street. It only took a few minutes to reach Hotaru Street, where there were various shops for dining and shopping. The restaurant I chose to eat at was Altezza Tomamu, an Italian dining place that focuses on Hokkaido ingredients. The atmosphere was stylish, with a ceramic plate in front of each seat for barbecue enjoyment. I ordered a bottle of Tokachi wine and started with salmon and salmon roe carpaccio, Hokkaido beef fillet tartare, raclette cheese with Hokkaido bacon, and a seafood pasta dish. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, making it a pleasant dining experience during my Hokkaido trip.

On the morning of the third day in Hokkaido, I was soaking in the hot spring and realized I was running out of time before departure. After a leisurely meal, I managed to take a short time to admire the misty Lake Akan from the hotel's backyard. The weather was improving after heavy rain canceled the Ainu traditional event "Prayer to Kamui" the previous night. Our sightseeing for the day started with a walk around Lake Onneto at the western edge of Akan Mashu National Park. Despite the low clouds covering the surroundings, the lake exuded a mysterious atmosphere with its ever-changing colors. Known as Onneto, meaning "an old lake" in Ainu language, the lake is often referred to as Goshikinuma for its color variations influenced by volcanic activity and bacterial actions. As the weather cleared up, we caught a glimpse of Mount Meakan and Mount Oakan reflecting on the lake's surface. We then headed to Naitai Plateau Ranch in Kamishihoro Town, where vast grasslands stretched as far as the eye could see. The ranch is home to cows from both inside and outside the town, offering a panoramic view of the Tokachi Plain and the city of Obihiro. We visited the Naitai Terrace Cafe, a glass-walled cafe offering the famous "Ushi Soft" ice cream, a mix of vanilla and chocolate flavors. We also explored the surrounding area with rock monuments and enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Tokachi Plain and Naitai Mountain. Driving through the Hokkaido countryside, we marveled at the vast fields and agricultural landscapes, with the Tokachi region known for its large-scale farming and dairy production. Passing through the Nissho Pass at an altitude of 1022m, we enjoyed the panoramic view of the Tokachi Plain before stopping for a lunch break at the Nissho Pass Tea House. We indulged in a hearty pork bowl and a flavorful beef bowl with mountain wasabi on the side. The journey through Hokkaido's picturesque landscapes continued, leaving us in awe of the region's natural beauty and agricultural richness.

On the last night of the Hokkaido tour, we stayed in a suite room at Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Tomamu. The suite room was 120㎡ with a separate bedroom on a lower floor. We explored the room, checked out the private sauna and jet bath, and time flew by quickly. We decided to avoid the buffet-style meals at this hotel, so we took the shuttle bus to the on-site tower and walked to a small street called "Hotaru Street" where there were several small shops. We arrived at the highest shop on the street and were quickly seated at a table in the back. We ordered appetizers like salmon and ikura carpaccio, a grilled romaine lettuce Caesar salad, and a pasta dish with uni, shrimp, and karasumi. For dessert, we had a Quattro Formaggi. The total cost for dinner was within 7,800 yen for two dinner vouchers, and we enjoyed a delicious Italian meal with excellent service.

Raclette cheese is so alluring. It's the kind that melts right in front of you. Put it on a pizza? Absolutely! What arrived was a pizza generously covered with gooey cheese. Just looking at it made my mouth water. And when I tasted it, it was indeed delicious. The sausages were also great. I could eat them endlessly. The pasta was also fantastic. Plenty of prosciutto, roast beef, and bacon... everything I ate was delicious. And for tomato-based pizzas, they shaved cheese on top until I said stop. The roast beef disappeared under all that cheese... They also had wine, beer, and whiskey, making the afternoon even more enjoyable. Thank you for the feast.

I had dinner there. There was a BBQ machine on the table, but we didn't use it this time. The vegetables with raclette cheese looked delicious, so we ordered that. We also had a salad, a pizza, and a pasta. The most delicious dish was the vegetables with raclette cheese. The pizza had a bread-like crust, and the pasta was a bit lacking in firmness, so they weren't that impressive. I recommend it to cheese lovers.

This is a restaurant located on Hotaru Street in Hoshino Resort Tomamu. It is an Italian restaurant and probably the most popular among the dining options on Hotaru Street. The restaurant was quite crowded, so we arrived a bit early and were lucky to be seated right away. We ordered meat, pasta, and salad. We wanted to order pizza too, but we were getting full. The meat was delicious and cooked at the table by ourselves. The pasta was a bit too soft and salty. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice, with a stylish feel and excellent service from the staff. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

I went to an Italian restaurant around 8 pm on a holiday, looking forward to enjoying dishes made with Hokkaido ingredients. Unfortunately, the raclette had already sold out, so I ordered the snow crab tomato sauce pasta and a red wine instead. However, what arrived was a seafood pasta with squid and clams, completely different from the menu photo. When I asked the staff about the lack of crab, they said it was mixed into the pasta sauce. Despite eating through the dish, I never found any crab. The medium-bodied red wine we ordered was lukewarm and seemed oxidized. I also noticed various Kirkland products from Costco displayed throughout the restaurant, which was a bit off-putting. Additionally, having someone constantly sweeping next to us during the meal made the atmosphere uncomfortable.
