I am satisfied if I can eat this much beef cutlet for 2300 yen. There are various ways to eat it, but I liked the sweet soy sauce? sauce, although the amount was small, so I wonder if I can get more sauce if I ask for a refill? If I come to Yodobashi for shopping, I would like to come back again!

After watching a play in Umeda, my sister and I wanted to have dinner together and decided to try Kyoto Gyukatsu at Kyoto Gyu Katsu in Yodobashi Umeda for the first time. We were initially going to order the classic menu items, but ended up getting the Original Red Gyukatsu Set for 1,590 yen and the Famous White Gyukatsu Set for 1,490 yen. We shared both dishes and found them both delicious. The Gyukatsu was served with white rice, which I preferred over barley rice. The meat was cooked rare, allowing us to grill it to our liking on a hot stone. The staff were attentive and even helped us with grilling. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, but the counter may feel a bit cramped for larger individuals.

I tried the combination beef cutlet with roast fillet, which comes with various sauces like soy sauce, sauce, curry flavor, Kyoto egg flavor, and rock salt to enjoy. They are all delicious, but the curry flavor was surprisingly tasty. Beef cutlets are not as common in Kanto, but they are popular in Kansai. They are a bit pricier than pork cutlets, but I really like them. Also, if you're friends on LINE, you can get free refills of cabbage, miso soup, and rice, which is a generous service.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 am on a weekday. There was only one group of customers before me, so I could choose my favorite seat. The restaurant is not very spacious. I ordered the Beef Sirloin Cutlet Set Meal for 1,265 yen and the Beef Sirloin Cutlet Set Meal (regular) for 1,639 yen. First, I tried the main dish, the beef cutlet! It was delicious! Some may say the size is small, but I found it to be just right. I tried dipping it in dashi soy sauce, sansho pepper salt, sauce, and curry, but the best was the dashi soy sauce. When dipped in curry, the delicious taste of the beef cutlet was overshadowed. Next, I tried the minced cutlet! It was also juicy and delicious! If you register with LINE, you can have unlimited refills of cabbage, rice, and red miso soup. By the time I left, the restaurant was full. I would like to visit again!

The inside of the restaurant had surprisingly narrow spaces with counter tables. There were plenty of options and everything looked delicious. You could choose to cook the food yourself with rare grilling. It was a unique way of eating and the food was soft and tasty.

I heard that it opened in August 2022. There were various types of pork cutlets, but I ordered one with a lot on it. They had loin, tongue, fillet, and sirloin. There were also about 5 types of sauces and spices included, so I was able to enjoy it a lot. The staff was very friendly and had a nice smile, and their service was great. Unlike tonkatsu, gyukatsu is more refreshing and easier to eat in my opinion! I highly recommend the grated ponzu sauce! The greedy set may be a bit too much for women, so be careful!

It was my first time eating beef cutlet, and even though I usually don't like red meat, I was able to enjoy it. It was very delicious and can be enjoyed with various flavors, so I didn't get tired of the taste. I was happy that I could get free rice refills by adding LINE.

I tried Kyoto Katsuei and honestly, the meat was the worst - tough and impossible to chew. Maybe it's different from other menu items? Well, I won't be going back again.
