This time, I bought some for myself as well. It really looks like a monk's hat on the head. The skin is very thin but chewy and has a strong presence. Despite the thin skin, it is surprisingly chewy, and the combination of this texture with the sweet bean paste is perfect, making it addictive.

I love Ajari mochi too much~♡♡ It's 110 yen each... They sell them individually so you don't have to worry about the quantity... I always end up buying them without hesitation (*´ω`*)♡ You can find them near the escalator on the basement floor 1 of Hankyu department store, in the Japanese confectionery corner. They also have Fukusaya's castella there♫ I bought 4 of them this day. The total came to 440 yen~ They are really delicious...♡ Although I only go to Kyoto for sightseeing, my love for Kyoto increases with these sweets♡ The texture of this mochi is irresistible (*´ω`*) Even though it's not actual mochi, it's so chewy and soft♡ If you give Ajari mochi to someone who doesn't know about it, they will definitely be surprised like, "What is this?!" (laughs) The contrast between the traditional Japanese packaging and the unexpectedly chewy texture is also great! (laughs) I will definitely buy them again♡ And then quietly savor the chewiness♡ The texture of the red bean paste and the skin of the beans is also really nice~ Oh~ I want to eat them again while writing this♡

On a regular day around 11:00, I lined up at a takeout specialty store located in the basement of Hankyu Department Store Umeda. There was a long line, and everyone seemed to be buying Ajyari mochi. I decided to join the line and was able to make my purchase relatively quickly as the staff were efficient. The Ajyari mochi cost around 119 yen each, which is quite cheap. They are about the size of a maple manju. When you open the package, the inside looks like a small steamed bun. The skin is chewy, similar to mochi. The filling is light and the aftertaste is refreshing. It was delicious and I would definitely buy it again. Thank you for the meal.

I purchased the famous Kyoto confectionery "Ajari Mochi" at the Hankyu Umeda Department Store in Osaka. It cost 119 yen per piece. The mochi had a chewy texture with sweet red bean paste inside. The balance between the chewy mochi and the red bean paste was excellent. While both the mochi and the red bean paste were delicious on their own, they were even better together. There are similar sweets out there, but Ajari Mochi stands out.

Ajagaimo mochi always sells out by the evening✨ so if you find it, you have to buy it! It's always delicious with its chewy texture. I think I'll buy it again for the year-end greetings.

It has become smaller than before, but the dough is chewy and the red bean paste inside is just the right amount of sweetness. It is delicious. It sells out quickly, and it is often not available in the afternoon.

Now, I have come to Hankyu Department Store in Umeda. I found a corner in the basement where they sell Ajari mochi. It is easy to buy, priced at 108 yen per piece including tax. When I opened it... it's more like a manju than mochi. But when you eat it, the skin is chewy, thin, but the inside is filled with plenty of red bean paste made from "Ogura". It's a classic souvenir from Kyoto and a reliable traditional Japanese sweet. Thank you for the meal! Thank you for visiting and viewing! Release 2016. Nankaihawks1’s gourmet guide. As I mentioned the other day, during my business trip to Osaka, I bought Adzuki bean paste-filled rice cakes ♡ No matter how many times I eat them, they remain my number one favorite Kyoto confection (*´ω`*) They may look like small dorayaki pancakes, but the texture and flavor are... similar to daifuku. (Dorayaki + Daifuku) ÷ 2, maybe? (laughs) The moment I bite into it, I fall in love with the chewy texture of the dough, followed by the not-too-sweet red bean paste ♡ From the first bite to the last, I am just in awe the whole time (laughs) And all this for just 108 yen per piece... It's truly a divine treat ♡ I envy the people in Kansai who can easily buy such wonderful sweets in their area (*´ω`*)

On May 22, 2012, I went to Hankyu Department Store in Umeda. I was intrigued by a review from "aoniyoshi" at Kyoto Isetan, so I was excited to find out from "usarin" that I could also buy it at Hankyu Umeda. This is so convenient! After having lunch at Bistro Vé in Ebisucho, I went to Umeda and bought it. The shop doesn't have a storefront, just the products on display. I noticed boxed ones, but then I saw paper bags with 10 pieces inside! It was 1050 yen. When I tried it, the unique, chewy texture of the red bean paste was quite rich. I thought it had wheat flour in it, but apparently it doesn't. It's a taste that grows on you. At 105 yen per piece, it's easy to buy! I had one at home, two after dinner, one the next morning, and two for lunch the next day. They disappear so quickly! Next time, I'll buy 20! Thank you for the delicious treat.

I wanted to try it once because it's a famous sweet. I saw it at the first floor of Hankyu Department Store so I bought it. It seems like a store that gathers sweets from various regions. You can also buy them individually, so I bought just one for a taste test (laughs). It costs 105 yen. When I tried to split it in half, it stretched and stretched! The dough is soft and chewy. The dough tastes like suikansutera. The sweet bean paste is not too sweet. It seems like a good choice for a souvenir. They also sell boxed versions, so please consider that option.

Famous confectionery "Ajari Mochi". The skin is chewy, the filling is light, and it's only 105 yen each! What a great deal! I first tried it when my aunt gave it to me, and I was hooked. Whenever I had the chance, I would buy it at Takashimaya in Kyoto or at JR Kyoto Station. Especially when I bought it at Takashimaya, it was freshly made and warm, so I couldn't resist and ended up eating it on the Hankyu train ride back. Recently, I found Ajari Mochi on the first floor of the renovated Hankyu Umeda Main Store! I'm so happy I can buy it here now. The only downside is that it doesn't last long... It's best to buy it on the day you plan to give it to someone, otherwise, it's hard to decide when to buy it. It's best consumed within 3 days of purchase. But it's so delicious that I might end up eating it quickly.

I always thought that the classic Kyoto wagashi, Ajari mochi, could only be bought in Kyoto. However, I have found that it is also available at several places in Osaka, including here at Hankyu Department Store Umeda. I sometimes stop by to purchase it. The best part about Ajari mochi is its "mochi-like" texture. It is not just chewy, but has a perfect elasticity that is not too soft. The sweet outer layer complements the sweet filling inside very well. The filling alone would be too sweet, but the perfect balance of sweetness is achieved with the texture of the mochi. The size is also just right, not too big or too small. However, unlike other department stores in Kyoto or other prefectures, they only sell it in boxes here. It would have been more convenient if they sold it individually for home consumption. But even in a box, it disappears quickly because it is so light and delicious.

I received a souvenir from my senior. It's a famous Japanese sweet, so I couldn't help but look it up (laughs). I realized once again how good Japanese sweets are. The texture is chewy and the dough is delicious. It goes well with the sweet bean paste. It makes me want to reach for some tea. It's an elegant and good Japanese sweet. As for the Ajari Mochi, it's a fun sweet to enjoy the texture. I think it would be well received as a souvenir. I would like to try other Japanese sweets as well.

It seems to be a grilled ushi gyuhimochi, with a flavor similar to castella maple bun. It was quite intriguing. The chewy texture is addictive. The sweet red bean paste inside is not too overpowering, leaving a refreshing aftertaste, making it possible to eat two pieces. Each piece costs 105 yen and they are also sold individually, so it's easy to purchase. It would make a great gift as well. Ajyarimochi is being sold discreetly as a pop-up at the section where Hankyu Department Store's traditional Japanese sweets are gathered. It's best to ask the store staff at Hankyu Department Store for the exact location.

The store is located on the 1st floor of Hankyu Umeda. It is a very famous Kyoto confectionery called San (Ajari Mochi)!! It has a consistent delicious taste and a cute, fluffy shape, making it perfect for souvenirs or a snack at 3 o'clock. It is delicious on its own, but toasting it in a toaster gives it a crispy outer layer for a second enjoyment!! Made with mochi rice as a base, mixed with granulated sugar and eggs, wrapped in Tamba's Daiginjo red beans, and baked. It is priced at 100 yen per piece, which is great. A box of 10 pieces is priced at 1,155 yen. The Daiginjo red beans used inside have a moderate sweetness and taste great with tea. Unfortunately, it is not sold from June to August. It's great that you can buy it without going to Kyoto!! The fact that the price doesn't change is also one of its charms. It is also available at Kintetsu Abeno store, Takashimaya Namba store, and Daimaru Shinsaibashi store.

I went to Kintetsu Department Store in the evening once, but they were sold out. It's really popular, huh. I was able to buy it here. The distinctive feature of the Ajari mochi is that the skin is quite chewy. The red bean paste is not too sweet, so you can eat a lot. And the price is only 105 yen, which is quite nice. When it comes to Japanese sweets, you can easily find one for 200 yen each. It doesn't last long, so if you're taking it as a souvenir, you need to be careful.

I used to buy this Kyoto specialty at JR Kyoto Station (Shinkansen area) often. It's great that it's now available in Osaka too, as it's a perishable treat. It's similar to dorayaki, but the texture is unique with a moist and chewy skin that is delicious. Inside the distinctive skin is a filling of well-balanced sweet red bean paste. It's a very satisfying treat, and the affordable price of 105 yen per piece is also a plus. I will continue to enjoy this for myself and as a souvenir for others.

I purchased these delicious Ajari mochi at JR Kyoto Isetan in the past, where I had to wait in a line of about 30 people on a holiday afternoon. It was quite a sight to see some serious buyers purchasing over 100 pieces at once (laughs). That's how enticing these mochi are. I am grateful that I can now purchase them in Umeda. They are available at the newly renovated Hankyu 1F, right in the center. The mochi has a moist and delicate skin filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste, perfectly balanced with a chewy texture. It is elegant with a slightly sweet taste. You can buy one piece for 105 yen, or choose a gift box with 10 pieces for 1155 yen. I only recently discovered this traditional Kyoto confection, but I believe it's a treat that should be shared with others. Though it may look simple, knowing that it is inspired by Ajari's woven hat adds a special touch to the tea time experience.

I lined up early in the morning again at the Funabashi TOBU local product exhibition to buy Ajari Mochi. They were limited to 1500 pieces and you could only buy up to 5 per person, so I didn't want to miss out. I tried them and the texture of the mochi was chewy and slightly sweet, so delicious! Even just the mochi itself was great. The filling had a refined sweetness, you could taste the attention to detail. They were bite-sized, so I thought I was savoring them with green tea, but they disappeared in no time. My son kept saying how delicious they were as he quickly ate them. I hope I have another chance to buy them again. Thank you for the delicious treat!
