Today's work location was in Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City. I visited the Ishida Ichiryu Moji store, which opened in June 2018. The main store is located in Kokura Minami Ward and has been highly rated in the area, so I've been curious about it for a while. There are 8 parking spaces in front of the store. The layout inside the store includes counter seats, table seats, and a raised tatami seating area. As you enter the store, there is a ticket machine on the left, so be sure to purchase your meal ticket! As of February 2020, the prices are as follows. The table condiments include pickled ginger, grated garlic, chili oil, gyoza sauce, pepper, and sesame salt. I ordered the "Rich Char Siu Ramen for 920 yen" and "Rice for 160 yen", totaling 1080 yen. The meal arrived quickly, in about 3-4 minutes. The toppings included char siu, wood ear mushrooms, and green onions, keeping it simple. The char siu had a nice charred aroma and melted in the mouth with a tender texture - delicious! It's my favorite type of char siu. Of course, I ordered rice, so I enjoyed it together with the ramen. The noodles were thin straight noodles with a firm texture due to a lower water content. I requested them to be cooked firm. The soup was a collagen-rich, thick tonkotsu flavor without any gamey taste, making it a light and easy-to-enjoy street-style ramen that would appeal to everyone. Another great meal today! I finished every last drop of the soup and was completely satisfied. This store has irregular holidays, but in February, it seems to be open without any days off. This concludes my Kitakyushu series. Tomorrow, I'll be heading to Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Of course, I'll be having ramen there too (laughs). *Please note that this review reflects my personal preferences, so please refrain from leaving negative comments if it doesn't align with your taste or opinions.
