This time, I tried the ramen from a food stall. I arrived in the evening shortly after they opened. I ordered the extra firm noodles. The noodle texture seemed different from what I remembered. I also ordered an extra serving of noodles. The texture of the noodles for the second order was clearly different. It seemed like the first batch might have been overcooked and absorbed too much water. I could be mistaken, so I apologize for any confusion.

I tried the set of rich ramen and half fried rice at a place with its main store in Ogura Minami-ku Ishida, and they also recently opened a branch in Moji. It's a classic tonkotsu ramen with thin noodles, which I appreciate. The fried rice, even though it's only half, is quite filling and has a delicious taste. It's the best.

Is the taste of the wonton noodles and fried rice set at the main store different? I have to go to the main store and try it out. It's the kind of delicious ramen shop taste. In my case, I felt that the deliciousness of the fried rice stood out more than the ramen. The service was also impressive, as expected from a famous store. I will definitely go again!

It was delicious (*´▽`*) North Kyushu Ramen! It's similar to Kurume Ramen, with thin noodles and a creamy flavor without a strong pork bone smell! The noodles should be firm! The fried rice was also fluffy! The service was quick, and my hungry stomach was satisfied right away! Thank you for the meal!

Thick Char Siu for 1000 yen. The soup is milder than expected and delicious. The noodles are thin and straight. The char siu is thinly seared and has a fragrant taste. It is juicy and delicious, but I wish it was a bit thicker for more satisfaction.

This is a chain restaurant owned by Ishida Ichiryu, known for its delicious tonkotsu ramen and fried rice. The Moji branch is conveniently accessible by car, but if you take the bus, you'll have to walk about 4 kilometers from the Yoshishi bus stop. The restaurant can accommodate about 15 people, with 7 counter seats, 2 table seats, and 2 small raised seating areas. There is parking space for about 10 cars. The rich tonkotsu ramen and street stall ramen are both delicious, with the rich pork bone soup being a standout. The manager recommended the fried rice, which I tried along with a bowl of street stall ramen and 7 extra noodle servings. Perfect tonkotsu ramen. The manager is too handsome. The noodles are perfectly firm, the difference between firm and extra firm is just right, and the cleanliness is top-notch. This is a rare gem of a restaurant where you can get this quality without having to wait in line. In Tokyo, it would definitely have a long line. The soup is carefully prepared, with no unpleasant odor, just pure umami flavor. The thick soup perfectly coats the straight noodles. Firm to extra firm is the way to go. The photo shows an arrangement with an extra serving of noodles. The additional oil is a delightful touch. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Between two tunnels, there is a self-service store with water. They use a food ticket system. The tables give off a dirty impression. Please clean them properly. I ordered the rich wonton ramen, but the ramen bowl was shallow (laughs). I thought it was the lid at first, which made me laugh. As a result, it feels like there is less soup. As for the taste, hmm. It's more of a creamy potage style rather than a crispy pork bone flavor that is popular right now. The taste is not bad, but personally, I think it's different. To describe the overall feeling, it might be good for those who like Ichiran ramen, but for those who prefer a robust pork bone flavor, it might not be satisfying!

I have always wanted to go there. Recently, the number of stores has increased, making it easier to visit various places. The rich soup goes really well with the thin noodles. Each slice of chashu has a strong flavor and was very delicious.

On this day when I was on a business trip in Moji, I was wondering what to have for lunch. While driving around, I found a ramen shop with a parking lot, so I decided to go in. I purchased the classic rich ramen (700 yen) from the ticket machine, and when I sat at the counter, the staff asked me about my noodle preference. I thought this might be an authentic tonkotsu ramen place, so I asked for the noodles to be cooked firm. After about 5 minutes of waiting, the rich ramen was brought to me, and it was indeed a tonkotsu ramen as I expected! I tried the soup first, and it was rich and flavorful without any unpleasant smell. It was just the kind of tonkotsu soup I like, and it was really delicious! Just this alone made it worth coming to Fukuoka for ramen! The combination of this tonkotsu soup and the perfectly cooked thin noodles was great, and I couldn't resist ordering an extra serving of noodles (150 yen). I thoroughly enjoyed the tonkotsu ramen in Kitakyushu, and I will definitely visit this place again when I'm nearby!

I visited a ramen restaurant recommended by a colleague, who claimed it was the best in the Ishida Ichiryu series. I ordered the rich ramen, which had a simple appearance but a dark soup color. I was excited to try it, and it turned out to be the richest ramen I've ever had! It may not be for everyone, but I personally enjoyed the intense flavor. Not only was it rich, but it also had a good depth of taste. I visited three different restaurants in the Ishida Ichiryu series - the main store, Makotoya, and the Moji store - and all of them had delicious and distinct features.

In Kitakyushu City, Moji Ward, there is a ramen shop called Ishida Ichiryu, known as the number one ramen in Kitakyushu. The main reason for this reputation is probably the Kitakyushu Ramen Championship, where they have won in 2017 and 2019 with overwhelming strength. The Moji branch of Ishida Ichiryu, opened in 2018, is also always packed during lunchtime. On this rainy day, however, we were able to enter without much wait. They offer two basic ramen options: the rich "Tonkotsu Ramen" and the light "Yatai Ramen," with additional toppings available. They also serve two types of tsukemen, gyoza, and fried rice. This time, I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen (670 yen). The rich soup with concentrated pork bone flavor, paired with thin noodles, was excellent. The tender chashu and crispy green onions were also delicious. Don't forget the wood ear mushrooms. The richness of the soup is definitely the highlight. The taste of the ramen is unquestionable, but the cleanliness was lacking. Especially, the cups for water were quite dirty, making me question if they were properly washed. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Thick ramen for 670 yen. Orders are made through a ticket vending machine system. There are only two types of ramen available. If you have a 5000 yen or 10000 yen bill, you can ask the staff to change it for you. Probably also for a 2000 yen bill. A 100,000 yen coin is probably not acceptable and also quite unreasonable. I handed in my ticket and received my ramen in less than 10 minutes. While taking a photo, a handsome man who seemed to be the manager, smiled and said, "Thank you!" Sometimes there are places where taking photos is not allowed, even in this day and age. And in an udon shop. The soup was delicious, almost the same as the main shop. It's a personal preference, but I felt a slight roughness in the texture of the soup, not in a sloppy way, but in terms of the sensation when drinking it. It might just be my imagination since it's been over half a year since I visited the main shop. Anyway, personally, this ramen fits my taste perfectly, one of the best in Kitakyushu. I can't go back to the main shop right away, as I can't go to the same shop twice until I've gone around all the ramen shops, it's just my personality as a food blogger. Nevertheless, thank you for the delicious ramen today. I felt the same way when I visited the main shop, the staff here are really nice. It adds to the taste, you know.

It took about 30 minutes from Yukihashi to Moji by bypass. Since the head chef was not at the main store, I went to the Moji store. The rich ramen soup is very rich, about three times richer than regular tonkotsu ramen. Of course, you must order extra noodles. Normally, when you order extra noodles, the soup becomes diluted, so you add more original sauce. However, with this ramen, you don't need to add extra original sauce because the soup is already so rich. The pork is seared with a burner, giving it a very fragrant taste. The seared pork fat enhances the richness of the tonkotsu soup. It is a very well-balanced soup. It must have taken a lot of effort to make it even more delicious. Kitakyushu is a competitive area for ramen. I will definitely come back to eat here again! Thank you!

Today's work location was in Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City. I visited the Ishida Ichiryu Moji store, which opened in June 2018. The main store is located in Kokura Minami Ward and has been highly rated in the area, so I've been curious about it for a while. There are 8 parking spaces in front of the store. The layout inside the store includes counter seats, table seats, and a raised tatami seating area. As you enter the store, there is a ticket machine on the left, so be sure to purchase your meal ticket! As of February 2020, the prices are as follows. The table condiments include pickled ginger, grated garlic, chili oil, gyoza sauce, pepper, and sesame salt. I ordered the "Rich Char Siu Ramen for 920 yen" and "Rice for 160 yen", totaling 1080 yen. The meal arrived quickly, in about 3-4 minutes. The toppings included char siu, wood ear mushrooms, and green onions, keeping it simple. The char siu had a nice charred aroma and melted in the mouth with a tender texture - delicious! It's my favorite type of char siu. Of course, I ordered rice, so I enjoyed it together with the ramen. The noodles were thin straight noodles with a firm texture due to a lower water content. I requested them to be cooked firm. The soup was a collagen-rich, thick tonkotsu flavor without any gamey taste, making it a light and easy-to-enjoy street-style ramen that would appeal to everyone. Another great meal today! I finished every last drop of the soup and was completely satisfied. This store has irregular holidays, but in February, it seems to be open without any days off. This concludes my Kitakyushu series. Tomorrow, I'll be heading to Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. There were hardly any restaurants near the hotel where I was staying, so I searched on Tabelog and drove here. The high ratings were justified, as I was able to enjoy delicious tonkotsu ramen. It was more of an innovative style tonkotsu. The fried rice was also delicious! Thank you for the meal!

This is a famous restaurant that I always wanted to visit, but it somehow appeared in Moji as well! When I entered the restaurant, I saw the ticket machine which I am not very fond of. The options were either traditional street ramen or rich ramen. I chose the rich ramen because I like rich and hearty flavors. The soup was creamy and rich, and the straight noodles were perfectly coated in it. I quickly ordered an extra serving of noodles while enjoying the tender chashu pork which paired well with the rice. I also added some pickled red ginger which I have been into lately. I finished all the soup as it was so delicious! I ordered a fried rice set as well, but the fried rice didn't suit my taste as much as I had hoped for. However, the ramen was amazing! I will definitely come back again!
