JOKEJOKERX
As I was checking if I had forgotten to eat anything, I realized that I hadn't tried the sweets from Rokkatei. Even though you can buy them at New Chitose Airport, I had some spare time in the morning so I decided to go. Before the store opened at 10 am, there were already about 10 people waiting. As expected of a popular shop. The souvenir corner is on the 1st floor, and the cafe is on the 2nd floor. The souvenir corner opens at 10 am, while the cafe opens at 11 am, so the cafe was not available yet. I tried the Marseille Ice Sandwich for 230 yen and the Yuki Kon Cheese for 230 yen, which can be eaten in the cafe area by sitting on the chairs provided. The Marseille Ice Sandwich has raisins in it, but even though I'm not a fan of raisins, it was delicious enough for me to enjoy. It is sandwiched between biscuits with a light, crispy texture similar to wafers. The filling consists of ice cream, white chocolate, and raisins. It is quite sweet, but the sweetness is elegant, so it can be enjoyed even without coffee. The Yuki Kon Cheese is also quite sweet. The cookie it is sandwiched with has a slightly heavier texture than the Marseille, more like a cookie. Perhaps it is paired with the heavier baked cheesecake? I wish I had some coffee with this one. It is sweet, sour, and soft. The cheesecake is soft, so it seems like it might crumble. Both items are indeed delicious. I'm worried about their shelf life, but I might buy them as souvenirs for my colleagues at work. There are a lot of women in my workplace, and Shiroi Koibito is too common... I'm torn. After eating at Matsumoto Jingisukan and Kantarou in Nissei Building, I came back here. Of course, I had dessert at the cafe corner after the meal. I arrived around 12:40 pm, but the cafe was full. Having to wait for about 3 groups, I was finally seated. Looking at the menu, I saw that they also have Okowa set meals and pizza. I chose the Strawberry Parfait for 650 yen and the Strawberry Juice for 530 yen. I noticed that there were some people ordering set meals as well. Okowa seems to be a specialty here. After about 10 minutes, they informed me that the Strawberry Juice was not available. I reluctantly ordered the Strawberry Milk for 480 yen. The staff took a while to come and take our orders, and they didn't bring us water at first. The staff's level seems to be low. Anyway, the dishes arrived. When I saw the menu, I was also wondering where the parfait was. It consisted of strawberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries, and a macaron. The strawberries in the Strawberry Milk were not just sauce, but also real strawberries. The cream in the parfait was fluffy and not overly sweet, unlike the common types these days. The vanilla also had a strong milky flavor and was delicious. The food here is really delicious. In the end, it cost me 1,130 yen. The cost performance is good, and it's delicious. I now understand why Hokkaido's recommended sweets are so popular. I bought souvenirs for my colleagues at work and snacks for myself here.
