I felt like eating a bento box with "straw sandal tonkatsu" covering the rice, so I decided to go to the "Tonkatsu Dojo" in Higashi Kaga-ya, which I thought was the main store. However, it was unexpectedly closed for the day. So, I headed to a tonkatsu bento shop in Tamade called "Tonkatsu-ya," which had changed its name to "Tonkatsu Dojo Tonkatsuya." This shop had trained not at the main store in Higashi Kaga-ya, but at the "Tonkatsu Dojo Minamitsumori branch." They offer a variety of bento menu items centered around fried foods. I always go for the "famous tonkatsu bento," priced at 670 yen. Unfortunately, it had increased by 20 yen since last time. Two years have passed, and price hikes are understandable. In the past, the "famous tonkatsu bento" at the main store used to have a large "straw sandal tonkatsu" overflowing from the bento box, but now it fits neatly within the box. Additionally, the cabbage portion between the rice and tonkatsu has decreased over time, which is quite disappointing. Furthermore, while the "Milfieu tonkatsu" has become common nowadays, this shop does not offer it. The tonkatsu seemed to be made from a thinly pounded pork loin. The sauce had a slight acidity but lacked the fruity sweetness and fruit peels that were supposed to be included. It's very disappointing! I hope these issues are unique to this shop. I love the "famous tonkatsu bento" from the original "Tonkatsu Dojo," and I would like to investigate its current status when I have the chance. Despite my critical comments, it's all out of my love for the "Tonkatsu Dojo's famous tonkatsu bento." Please understand. Even just eating the sauce on top of the rice is quite delicious. I recently found myself unable to finish this bento completely. I realized after finishing that I forgot to pour curry over it. Oh no! Thank you for the meal.

I visited Tonkatsu Dojo Tamade store in Nishinari-ku, Osaka, a 6-minute walk from Tamade Station on the Osaka Metro. It was my first time visiting this store as I usually go to the Minamitsukamoto store, which was closed today. The place was bustling with customers during lunchtime. They had a variety of menu items like beef kalbi donburi, chicken mix bento, and squid fry mix bento, all looking delicious. I decided to order their famous tonkatsu bento for 720 yen. The bento came with a generous portion of rice topped with a palm-sized tonkatsu and cabbage. The simple combination of sauce-soaked rice, cabbage, and tonkatsu was delicious. The golden triangle of cabbage, rice, and tonkatsu was a perfect bite. The meal was satisfying and the portion was as generous as always. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I always order delivery, and the Tonkatsu bento box and various mixed fry bento boxes are delicious. The fried food tastes like it was made at home, and it's consistently tasty. I think these bento boxes are a safe choice for a delicious meal.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Tamade Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, a new takeout bento shop called "Tonkatsuya" has opened. The spacious and clean interior offers a wide variety of menu options. When asking the owner about the connection to "Tonkatsu Dojo," it turns out he trained at the Minamitsumori branch. The specialty tonkatsu bento for 650 yen is a must-try, with a generous portion of rice and plenty of shredded cabbage. The tonkatsu is made with tender pork loin and fried to a crispy perfection, paired with a fruity and fragrant special sauce. The bento is delicious and the rice is exceptionally tasty. In addition to the tonkatsu bento, the fried chicken (160 yen for 3 pieces) and fried squid (100 yen) are also hot and freshly made, offering great value and taste. With a variety of other bento options to explore, this place is definitely worth a revisit. If you're short on time and can't wait in line at Tonkatsu Dojo, this shop is a great alternative.
