The reservation was made by the organizer for about 20 members, and we had a reunion in Namba, Osaka on a Friday night! It seemed like a high hurdle to overcome, but they kindly accommodated last-minute changes in the number of guests. The sashimi was beautifully arranged on a boat, with squid, shrimp, and shellfish grilled on the robata grill, and a variety of kushikatsu skewers... There was so much sushi that we couldn't finish it all. Some members drank a lot of wine and beer, but we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves for just 5000 yen. The staff were all friendly and cheerful. It was a restaurant that suited the occasion. Thank you for the feast!

I visited the izakaya "Kaisen Monogatari" near Dotonbori in Osaka on a Saturday night. After watching a live concert at Kyocera Dome with my friends, we wanted to eat something Osaka-style. We got off the train at Shinsaibashi and planned to have kushikatsu at a restaurant called "Doma," but it was already closed. As we wandered around, we ended up in Dotonbori and decided to try "Kaisen Monogatari" since it was open until 3 am. We ordered draft beer, a Red Eye cocktail, Kirin beer, oolong tea, various kushikatsu skewers (green pepper, shiitake mushroom, nagaimo yam, chicken tenderloin with cheese, eggplant), takoyaki, a salad with crispy shrimp fritters, and seafood okonomiyaki. I wanted to try kushikatsu, takoyaki, and okonomiyaki since I was in Osaka, and I was glad to find them all on the menu. It was a fun and enjoyable time catching up with my friend whom I hadn't seen in a year.

For 2,480 yen, you can enjoy 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat sushi, each piece carefully crafted with fresh ingredients. Sushi orders are made on paper for an additional 1,100 yen, you can enjoy a variety of luxurious toppings. In addition to sushi, you can also enjoy grilled seafood here! This time, I tried crab, abalone, scallops, and turban shells. The scallops were amazing! The crab miso also paired well with alcohol. The first time trying abalone was shocking! It was so fresh and delicious! I am grateful for the experience. There are both table and counter seats, so it's suitable for families with children too! When I visited, there were quite a few families with kids and babies.

Visited a restaurant in the heart of Dotonbori around 9pm with my family during our Osaka trip. We wanted to try some kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) and were lured in by the sign and the staff outside. The restaurant was located on the second floor of a building, and was about a 5-minute walk from our hotel. We ordered mainly kushikatsu, but found the portions to be a bit small and lacking the crispy texture we were hoping for. It seems like we should have gone to a kushikatsu specialty shop instead. The total bill for our family of five came to 12650 yen.

The seafood salad had more fish than I expected, and the octopus was firm and delicious. However, the tuna tempura was a bit bitter. The sashimi was impressive though! The staff were attentive and kind. There is a cover charge of 500 yen, but it seems there is also a service charge, so maybe one of them is enough. If you use a coupon from Tabelog, you won't need to pay the 10% service charge! Thank you for the meal!

Today, we decided to go a bit extravagant and have some drinks at a seafood restaurant. We ordered a seafood platter which made ordering easy. Since it was a kushikatsu place, we tried to be mindful of the oil content while eating. We also grilled some sazae on the tabletop stove. Watching the sazae cook right in front of us was so exciting! Drizzling a little soy sauce and grilling it was just heavenly. The aroma was irresistible! It's a bit pricier than your average izakaya, but it's definitely worth it!

Charcoal-grilled dishes seem to be popular, and the kushikatsu has a delicious coating like fried chicken! The okonomiyaki was incredibly tasty. It was fluffy on the inside, juicy on the outside, and the sauce was really delicious.

As we were walking, trying to decide on our second stop, we were lured in along the way (laughs). We were led to a private room in the back. Since we were already full, we only ordered grilled clams and potatoes. They grilled turban shells, scallops, and squid! There were six of us, so... we played rock-paper-scissors! (laughs) I couldn't eat the scallops... but I got the turban shell! It's definitely more delicious when grilled right in front of you, isn't it? It's fun to grill and share with everyone. After returning from my flight from Sydney, we decided to try some Japanese-style seafood, so we visited this restaurant. I tried their specialty, the assorted grilled shellfish. The combination of oysters, turban shells, large clams, and scallops was a golden quartet that made me smile involuntarily. The primitive aroma of the shellfish naturally arouses your appetite.
