After leaving "Zauo," we took one stop on the Toei Shinjuku Line to "Shinjuku Sanchome" and when we emerged above ground, it seemed like the typhoon had already passed as the wind was strong but the rain had stopped. Our destination was Ad Hoc Building, where we were hosting the "First Annual Tabelog Simulation Golf Tournament" at a place called Baggus. This bar offers billiards, darts, table tennis, and golf. We had reserved a private golf lounge and entered. A huge screen displayed a vibrant fairway. We ordered drinks and raised a toast! It was a unique moment to toast with golf gloves on (laughs). We ordered a platter of fish and chips with fried chicken as snacks. Now, it was time to start the golf competition without a ceremonial first shot. The course was the prestigious "Fuji Classic," and our honor was Aniki, the Nike pro. With a loud "Bashy!" and "Nice shot!" we hit the ball straight to the center of the fairway. Next, it was my turn, and I aimed to hit it far! With a powerful shot, the ball hooked sharply to the neighboring course. No need to say "Fore!" in simulation golf (laughs). Simulation golf is no joke. It accurately measures head speed, ball launch speed, and angle, leaving no room for mistakes. Then, it was Popai Pro's turn. Despite a powerful swing, the ball sliced to the right course. Again, no need to say "Fore!" The two female pros, though mostly beginners, advanced with power. Since the person farthest from the green went next, the women had more turns. With a double par, the game was given up. The cost per shot was reasonable (´∀`). In the end, as expected, Nike Pro won by a clear margin. Taking only 6 holes in 2 hours and scoring 3 pars, he secured a grand victory. Skilled players are indeed skilled in simulation as well. Now, for Tabelog, I must mention food and drinks (^^ゞ. Since this place is mainly for playing, the focus is not on eating and drinking. The various sours cost around 600 yen, and the alcohol is weak. The fried platter was around 1000 yen. It's pretty average. The golf play fee was 2400 yen per person for 2 hours. There's also a set with 2 hours of play, all-you-can-drink, and about 5 dishes, but on holidays, it's around 6000 yen per person, and on weekdays, around 5000 yen. Since it was a holiday and our second stop, we opted for just playing without the set, costing around 4000 yen per person for the whole game. I never imagined we could hold a golf competition in the midst of this typhoon. In that sense, it was the perfect environment for having fun with friends. I'll evaluate it as a play spot. It was a lot of fun. Nike Aniki, next time, please give us a handicap (´∀`).
