I visited the first bar recommended by a professional bartender. The place had bright lighting, a luxurious counter, and the owner dressed in a white jacket. After enjoying a gin at the first bar, I tried a Jack Rose and a Margarita at the second bar. Feeling a bit tipsy after two drinks, I decided to call it a night. I was able to fully enjoy the sophisticated atmosphere of the adult district, Daimyo.

A bar located along the Kokutai-dori in Fukuoka Tenjin. The owner, originally from Nagasaki, trained at Oscar before opening the bar in 2017. All cocktails are delicious, but the fruit cocktail made with Japanese pear is exceptional. The vodka-based cocktail is shaken well and topped with diced Japanese pear, creating an "edible cocktail." The addition of gold flakes adds a touch of elegance. The spacious interior is elegantly designed, with a counter made of mahogany creating a luxurious atmosphere. The bar can accommodate around 20 people at once, including table seating. Prices range from 1000 to 1500 yen per drink. While the bar attracts regulars, first-time visitors will also find the cozy atmosphere welcoming. If you enjoy authentic bars, this is a must-visit spot.

After having sushi at Kodan, I walked over to Ridleys, a bar I haven't been to in about 4 years. I started off with a gin and tonic to cool down, which was delicious after such a long time. The bar had a nice counter seat with a beautiful back bar, as well as table seats by a large window where you could see outside. Next, I ordered a highball with Laphroaig, which had a strong scent like disinfectant but was tasty, leaving a lingering aroma in my nose. To cleanse the palate, I had a Sidecar, which had a gentle acidity and was quite enjoyable, although my memory is a bit fuzzy. As I relaxed in the laid-back atmosphere, I wanted to end the night with a sweet and tangy cocktail, so I ordered a French Connection. With this, I knew I wouldn't need to buy any convenience store sweets on the way back to the hotel. It was a great dining experience. As I left, I saw through the large window that other customers were still enjoying their time at the bar.

We each had two drinks and the total came to 6600 yen. They had Mimosa flowers on the counter, so we ended up ordering the cocktail "Mimosa." They have a wide variety of alcohol and will make whatever drink you want. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and has a nice smell. It was a very comfortable atmosphere.

I haven't had a chance to go to a bar recently, but after a year-end party, my friends and I wanted to go somewhere other than a cafe. We found this place, Bar RIDLEY, near us. It's located along the Kokutai Road, and after climbing the stairs and nervously opening the door, we entered. The counter was full, but there were two table seats available, so we were seated at one of them. We were recommended cocktails made with amaou strawberries and nashi pears, so I ordered the amaou cocktail. It was a champagne-based cocktail with a beautiful presentation that women would love. The sweetness and acidity of the strawberries combined with the bubbly champagne made for a wonderful evening. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The master is very gentle and soothing. They even fulfilled my request for a cocktail in a specific color, and I am grateful for that. Smoking is allowed.

This is a shop run by Mr. M, who trained at Bar Oscar. Since he has been working as a second at Oscar for many years, I think the taste is Oscar level. The standard dishes are still delicious as always. Of course, they also make fresh cocktails, which are also delicious as they have been given a special touch. The variety of malt and brandy may not be abundant, but they have the basic ones. Maybe there is room for improvement in the future. The master is friendly and easy to talk to. It's not crowded, so it's a good place to relax and enjoy a drink. It is certain that it is open on Sundays, but there may be confusion regarding the rest of the week.

This is a shop where there is only one master who takes care of everything. The shop has both counter and table seating, and it is a wonderful place.

Moriyama-san's restaurant

I visited Murakawa-san for delicious food and drinks after enjoying a meal. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building a little west of Tenjin Nishidori along the Kokutai Road. Upon entering the second floor, you can see the interior through large windows. There are spacious counter seats and table seats. It's a lovely bar. The master is a graduate of the famous Oscar in Hakata. I cooled down with a gin and tonic. I had a Laphroaig highball for the first time in a while. Suddenly, I asked for a cocktail made with apricot. Perhaps it was because I had apricot sweetened at Murakawa-san. They made a paradise cocktail for me. It was delicious, I hardly remember it. Yet, I also had a Jack Rose. Thank you for the meal. I will come back next time and take my time.

Category: Favorite Izakaya (Kyushu) Today's solo izakaya trip took me to "Bar Ridley" in Daimyo, Fukuoka. Thanks to the recommendation from "Momotabar," I found the place easily. I sat at the counter and ordered a Gimlet to start. Congratulations on the grand opening. The owner and bartender, Mr. Moriyama, used to work at the renowned "Oscar" in Daimyo before opening his own place. It's wonderful to see him have his own bar now. Unlike "Oscar," he's running this place alone, but I hope he does well. There were a couple of regulars already seated. It's a quiet bar time with a cozy atmosphere. From Tsushima to Iki, Fukuoka, and tomorrow to Kagoshima, bars are the life force of my travel adventures. I asked for a Martini. It was precise and well-made. I want to taste this professional's touch in every sip. Maybe it's time to head to Takasago soon? I was shown some rare whiskies, like Macallan and White Horse with old labels. The current versions are easier to drink, but they lack the depth of the old ones. I enjoyed a precious drink. Let's walk towards Nakasu now. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Bar Ridley!
