I always see this shop in the underground passage. However, when I try to find it from above using the address and map app, I can't seem to locate it at all. But once I go down to the underground and see it, I understand, "Ah, this is the place." It's quite tricky. I ordered the Tapioca Iron Goddess Milk Tea Ice, which I always see in the underground passage. Apparently, they also have a dining area, but it seems crowded, so I opted for takeout. I moved to a calm place to enjoy it, and finally, I tried it. I wondered what Iron Goddess was, and it turns out to be a type of tea leaf. I see. Perhaps due to the milk and sugar, the scent is rich and the taste is very delicious. The tapioca here is small, but chewy and not powdery, making it very easy to eat. The only downside is that the ice is crushed, almost like shaved ice. Is it at the shaved ice level? The ice is very fine, so when I try to suck up the tapioca at the end, I end up sucking up the ice too, and I get surprised by the coldness and start choking. It would have been better if the ice was a size that could fit through the straw. Despite the busy atmosphere of the shop, the staff were relatively calm, and I was satisfied with the delicious drink.

I had some time to spare before my clinic appointment, so I was looking for a place to have dinner, and I found one right in front of the ticket gate! I ordered a set of mixed soba noodles and hojicha tapioca tea. I ordered using a QR code. I chose cold mixed soba, and it was delicious with its numbing spiciness and smooth noodles. The hojicha tapioca tea was also great, with a moderate sweetness and a nice balance of hojicha aroma and bitterness. The seating area was limited, so it felt a bit awkward to stay for a long time, but it was nice to be able to adjust my time while enjoying my meal. I like Gong Cha's tapioca too, but I prefer the lightness of the hojicha tapioca from Chun Shui Tang. ❤️

It's hot and humid, starting to feel a bit tired. So I decided to have tofu pudding for lunch instead. It's topped with strawberries, peanuts, and herbal jelly. The peanuts add volume to it, while the herbal jelly is lighter compared to tapioca. The tofu pudding has a nice tofu flavor, which is good. However, the strawberries were a bit disappointing - only one slice as a topping. Next time, I won't choose strawberries. Maybe I'll go for mango instead.

It was hot, so I went in craving shaved ice. I ordered the summer limited edition, refreshing Taiwanese dessert "Mango Shaved Ice Douhua". This dish had Douhua with a lot of crunchy ice on top. I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting the trendy fluffy shaved ice. However, the Douhua was delicious!

On hot days, I prefer to move to my destination without direct sunlight. There are many shops in the city center that fulfill my wish. One of those dream shops is located between Tokyo Station and Ginza, where I can travel underground from work. Today, although there was a seat available and I could enter the shop right away, I had to wait a bit for them to finish cleaning up. While waiting, I decided on my order, and as soon as I sat down, I placed my order. I ordered the lunch set (with a drink) - Spicy Tantan Mazemen (Jasmine tea) for ¥1,350. If ordered separately, it would be ¥950. Since it was close to 2 pm, the shop had an equal number of customers for lunch and dessert (cafe). The desserts looked very delicious too. I thought the Spicy Tantan wouldn't be too spicy, but I personally felt a slight tingle. However, the portion was just right, and the noodles were smooth and chewy, which felt good in the heat. It was delicious.

Just outside the ticket gate of Ginza Station on the Ginza Line, great accessibility. Visited around 2 pm on a weekday for the second time. Seating rate was around 90-100%. Salted soy milk for 450 yen and Taiwanese-style sticky rice for 450 yen. Perfect for when you want something light. It's hard to find gluten-free options for light meals, so this was much appreciated. The salted soy milk has a tangy flavor with chicken pieces. The cilantro adds a delicious touch. The sticky rice has pork inside and is slightly sweet. The sour and spicy chili sauce adds a nice flavor contrast.

At GINZA PLACE on B1F just outside the ticket gates of Ginza Station on the Ginza Line, there is a Taiwanese cuisine and sweets shop. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered a light ramen or mixed noodles. I don't usually like soy milk, but it was delicious! The Salted Chicken and Coriander Mixed Noodles were cold noodles and refreshing, and delicious!

In between appointments, I accidentally wandered into Shunsuido in Ginza. It's a small shop on the basement floor. I wanted to try their tofu pudding, but ended up getting a set because it was a better deal. I got a mini tofu pudding with jasmine milk tea with ai-yu jelly, unsweetened. The tofu pudding was topped with tapioca pearls, which added a nice sweetness, but also increased the calories and sugar content. The tofu pudding itself was light, so the sweetness of the tapioca pearls complemented it well. The jasmine milk tea with ai-yu jelly had a great texture.

I thoroughly enjoyed a solo stroll in Ginza, and finally checked out a Taiwanese cafe called Chunshuitang located in GINZA PLACE, across from the Nissan building at the intersection of Ginza 4-chome. The menu I tried was the "Douhua All-You-Can-Eat" for 1,850 yen, which includes unlimited douhua (tofu pudding) and syrup with free refills, a choice of toppings (strawberries, aiyu jelly, red beans, peanuts, tapioca, mango), one drink of your choice, and the option to add a set of 6 additional toppings for 500 yen. The drink I chose was the limited-time Tapioca Strawberry Matcha, which turned out to be surprisingly rich and flavorful, almost like a Frappuccino. The douhua was also delicious with a variety of toppings to customize the taste. I couldn't stop eating and ended up finishing 3 bowls (lol). Despite being in the heart of Tokyo, I felt like I was in Taiwan, with the nostalgic background music adding to the travel-like atmosphere. The place was quiet and perfect for solo dining, and the lunch set with one drink seemed to be popular among other customers. Personally, I would like to try the Taiwanese castella set on my next visit. Anyone interested in joining me next time? #Chunshuitang #DouhuaAllYouCanEat #TaiwaneseCafe #SoloStroll #Tapioca #TokyoCafe #Foodie #FoodPorn

Taiwanese food chain located in the basement of the Nissan Building at the Ginza 4-chome intersection, beneath Ginza Station on the subway. On weekdays, there is almost no wait for takeout, and there is also a comfortable space for dining in. I prefer drinks without tapioca, so I ordered the Iron Goddess Milk Tea with reduced sweetness and no ice. They make it after you order, but it takes a bit of time to prepare. The drink with a strong tea leaf flavor is much appreciated!

Located right at the intersection of Ginza 4-chome, with a passage leading to the underground walkway, but probably just an elevator from the first floor? This place seems to be a shop that specializes in Taiwanese-style tapioca milk, but the recommended seasonal drink is the watermelon drink. I wanted to take a break and decided to visit this place for the first time. I was greeted with alcohol disinfection and a lovely smile, and given the option of dining in or taking out. I chose to dine in and was seated at a two-person table in the center. The menu was available, and a QR code was provided. I thought of ordering bean curd, but the base was 500 yen with each topping costing an additional 50 yen, such as strawberry, mango, red bean, peanuts, etc. There were no taro balls. There were also food items on the menu, but I opted for the hot dessert of black sesame tangyuan. I placed my order through the QR code, which was located quite low. It took about 10 minutes, and the server warned me that it was hot. Indeed, it was very hot, with a strong ginger flavor. It had a large white tangyuan with black sesame filling, while the pink and green tangyuan were empty inside. The white tangyuan was soft and fluffy, and the black sesame filling was sweet and fragrant. The balance of sweetness, spiciness from the ginger, and the sweet syrup was perfect. Personally, I found the white tangyuan a bit too soft. The staff had lovely smiles and refilled my water without me having to ask, which was helpful as the dessert was hot. The restaurant was narrow, with sofas and counters having power outlets, but they were hard to find under the sofa. They also serve Taiwanese tea (no frozen top oolong tea). The lunch set is available until 3:00 pm. The strong and sweet ginger flavor was to my liking. Although it felt like I had to leave as soon as I finished eating, the secluded location was nice. The restroom is located by going up the stairs outside the store to the left. It's quite far. The underground mall exudes a sense of history. Thank you for the meal. Takeout is available.

Black sesame tangyuan for 700 yen. Mini douhua for 450 yen. The black sesame tangyuan is served in a light syrup with soft and chewy dumplings. The portion is quite generous. The different colors don't affect the taste. The douhua is mini-sized but the tofu pieces are larger. It would be better if the tapioca was a bit chewier.

Today's lunch was the seasonal menu item "Clam and Nanohana Tofu Chicken Soup Noodles" (950 yen). Based on a Taiwanese soup made with tofu solidified with black vinegar, this is an original dish from Shunsuido. Scooping up the soup and taking a sip... Delicious! It has a gentle taste with the richness of chicken and clam broth, and a refreshing sourness in the aftertaste. I've been feeling a bit tired lately, but this easily fills my stomach! The chewy Chinese noodles pair well with the soup, and the shredded chicken and clams are plentiful. The white and fried green onions add a nice flavor, and the slight bitterness of the nanohana is a perfect match. While the classic "Tofu Chicken Soup Noodles" is delicious, adding clams seems to enhance the umami flavor. I hope this becomes a regular menu item too!

I love Taiwanese cafes, and although I'm on a diet, I still visit them often. I stopped by thinking it was a café, had a sweet drink to go, and tried to soothe my tiredness by walking around. I was lured in by the delicious-looking drink photo on the outside sign. The inside of the shop is spacious and beautiful. Surprisingly, they also have a light meal menu. I also tried the noodles.

Second son loves tapioca milk tea. He wanted it near Ginza. You can find it at the supermarket, but apparently not so much at convenience stores. I searched and found it at the basement of the Nissan Gallery at the 4th intersection. Surprisingly, this place used to be the original tapioca milk tea shop. After some googling, I found out that there was a 10-year legal battle in Taiwan over who was the original creator, but in the end, the court ruled that it didn't really matter since anyone can make it. Second son only gave me two sips, so I can't really say if it tastes like the original, but it was sweet and delicious. However, spending 600 yen to let a child drink it is now prohibited. Will it continue to be popular this year?

I went to "Shunsuido" at the Ginza store. Exclusive for Ryo-kun followers: Shunsuido drink free campaign. Period: 1/15-1/31 (ended on 1/23). Show the Ryo-kun Gourmet follower screen at the register and get your favorite drink for free! Limited to the first 100 people (take-out/in-store total of 100 cups, excluding seasonal limited products). Any SNS follow is okay. I used to love tapioca, but now my current favorite is matcha milk tea. I'm not a fan of matcha sweets, but I love matcha drinks, so I chose it just before ordering. The chewy tapioca and rich matcha taste delicious. I want to try other drinks too.

I found out about a Taiwan Fair happening on social media. I was planning to visit Taiwan during the Golden Week in May 2020, but couldn't due to the coronavirus. Since I love Taiwanese cuisine and sweets, even though I couldn't go to Taiwan, I rushed to the fair because I wanted to eat them. They had two great deals at the Taiwan Fair, so I decided to go alone. While waiting, I scanned the QR code on the menu and watched videos on the Taiwan Fair's website. There were so many videos, and watching them made me really want to go to Taiwan. I lost at the rock-paper-scissors game with the staff, but apparently if I had won, I could have had a mega-sized tapioca milk tea (laughs). I had Lu Rou Fan, soup, and Taiwanese-style sweet soup. The Taiwan Castella on the menu caught my eye as well. There are still more dishes I haven't tried, so I definitely want to go back! The counter seats have a nice concept and free Wi-Fi, which is also great. I want to recommend this cafe to my friends as a recommended spot.

I went to Ginza PLACE for work and on the way back, I stopped by the basement of Harbs. I usually don't drink sweet drinks, but today I tried the Chocolate Berry Milk Tea. The moderate sweetness is comforting for my body after working hard. The combination of tea, chocolate aroma, berry acidity, and sweetness is really good! I remember trying their newly made Tapioca Milk Tea before and it was delicious. They also have free Wi-Fi, a food menu, and a lovely interior, making it a cozy place to hang out. Even though I'm not hungry today, the Taiwanese Castella cake on the table looks really good.

I visited a famous tapioca drink shop located to the right of Ginza Lion, accessible from the Ginza Station underground passage, which also serves noodles and rice dishes for dine-in or takeout. I brought a dine-in special offer flyer and found the place bustling with solo office workers and couples around 7 pm on weekdays. Many were enjoying dishes like hot and sour soup noodles and pork fried rice, in addition to the popular tapioca drinks. The counter seats had free Wi-Fi from the neighboring Ginza Lion, and outlets for those wanting to work after hours. I'm not a fan of spicy and sour flavors, so I ordered the chicken broth noodles with a special offer of complimentary tofu pudding. The gentle and delicious chicken broth noodles exceeded my expectations, and I finished every drop of the soup. The dessert-sized tofu pudding was a nice touch and left me feeling full. I couldn't resist ordering a warm tapioca drink to go at the register, then strolled through the beautifully lit Ginza streets to warm up with the hot drink on a chilly Christmas night. I'm already looking forward to trying the pork fried rice next time. I didn't know about this place before, but I'm glad I found it. It seems like they cater to all ages and situations, making it a hidden gem cafe with power outlets in Ginza. Highly recommended for everyone!
