I went to the "Premium Dining Cinema" located inside the "United Cinema Canal City 13" in Canal City Hakata, which opened in April 2016! I went with a friend who loves movies and came from out of town. For movie lovers, this place will be a new tourist spot in Hakata. Even if you're not a big fan of movies (lol), how about it as a new date spot? Even if it's not a date, it's quite comfortable as adult entertainment. The "Premium Dining Cinema" is a new movie viewing service that has been introduced in over 100 theaters mainly in the United States in recent years and is attracting attention worldwide. You can enjoy a meal with a knife and fork while watching a movie, and enjoy beer, wine, cocktails, and other alcohol in a glass. You can also place additional orders during the screening. It's a new style of movie theater that allows you to enjoy a movie to the fullest as if you were in a restaurant. There are two types of seats available. There are 46 casual seats in front of the screen and 12 luxury seats at the back with electric reclining function. The seats are designed for pairs, but of course, you can use them alone. The price for casual seats is 2,800 yen with a 1,000 yen meal voucher, and the price for luxury seats is 3,800 yen with a 1,500 yen meal voucher. This time, my friend made an online reservation. We were seated in the back in the middle, which felt quite private. The movie we watched was "Captain America 3," also known as "Captain America: Civil War." I always look forward to the "Avengers" series. At the entrance. It looks like a hotel or airport lounge. We entered 30 minutes before the screening. This is what the casual seats look like. There is a table for two seats. It's nice to have a place for your belongings. This is the luxury seat we used this time. It's a spacious seat with a movable reclining function and footrest. There is also a light to illuminate the food. Each seat has a table. And each pair of seats is separated by a screen, giving a very private feeling. It's like an old lady riding in first class on an airplane for the first time (lol). The reclining and footrest can be adjusted with a switch at hand, making it very easy. On the table. There are self-written order forms, paper napkins, cutlery, and paper towels. There is also a menu with photos. Fill out the order form, hand it to the waiter in black, and pay for any amount over the meal voucher on the spot. In a dark place, bloggers order things with "beautiful colors" (lol). This time, I chose the blue cocktail "Canal Blue" for 750 yen. The free snack was popcorn, typical of a movie theater. It's a mix of caramel and salt flavors! Enjoying a cocktail while watching a movie. So stylish! I was torn about the food, but I opted for sandwiches that are easy to snack on. I chose the Beef Pastrami Panini for 750 yen. It also comes with french fries, so it has a decent volume and tastes better than I thought. It's no wonder it's a collaboration with Royal Holdings, the largest chain of restaurants such as Royal Host and Sizzler. Since it's a sandwich, I ate it by hand, but I could hear the clinking sound of cutlery touching the plate from other seats, which felt unusual for a movie theater. It truly is a "Dining Cinema." I spent my 1,500 yen meal voucher on the cocktail for 750 yen and the panini for 750 yen, but I still wanted something else to drink. I pressed the call button at hand. I enjoyed a Jim Beam highball for 500 yen. My friend next to me ordered a Demi-Glace Hamburger (with bread) for 1,000 yen + Set Soup for 250 yen. According to my friend, "The hamburger is juicy." Furthermore, my friend also ordered a Lemon White Sauce Chicken (with bread) for 1,000 yen. Royal, which also operates in-flight meal services, is behind this.
