The line is moving fast, so the wait time is about 5-7 minutes. The soft cartilage in the Torotoro Nankotsu Don is similar to the one at Karashimenya Masumoto and is definitely soft and tender. The seasoning is good, and towards the end, it has a slightly spicy kick. I also tried the Guruguru Chicken Skin, and I thought it would be better to eat it hot at the store. The Chicken Skin Chips with spice flavor go well as a beer snack (laughs). I will be going to the Dome in September, so I would like to try something different next time! Thank you for the meal (^^)

It's 4:00 PM on July 5, 2023 at PayPay Dome. Oh, hello, it's Kamen! I love Torikawa. I initially bought a set of 10 skewers, but ended up adding another 10. I ended up eating 20 skewers in total. Naturally, the alcohol was flowing, so I had 5 drinks before the game, and ended up having a total of 7 drinks. At that point, I realized I wouldn't make it to the airport in time, so I left the dome early! Thank you for the meal!

When I first visited Fukuoka PayPay Dome, I couldn't get a visitor seat for the NBB game, so I ended up in the left stand where there were many charging spots. The vendors and salespeople at the stadium were very generous with PayPay points, which is expected from Softbank. Regular fans seemed to be SBM users, making it a missed opportunity for those who weren't. I wanted to try some Fukuoka gourmet food, so I got the "Yakitori Set" from Hakata Guruguru Torikawa, which included 3 skewers and 7 yakitori pieces with a glass of draft beer for 2,250 yen. I wasn't sure if it was cheap or expensive, as it showed as 2,137 yen with 437 points on PayPay. The price of beer varies at different stadiums, but PayPay seemed to be the most cost-effective option at 850 yen with points back. Each stadium has different rules for bringing in food and drinks, with some allowing alcohol in plastic bottles and others not allowing any food or drinks. Despite all this, the game itself was disappointing with a 1-5 loss and no exciting moments apart from a home run by Okamoto. With a record of 0 wins and 3 losses this year, it seems like I'm cursed when it comes to attending games on weekends. The fans at the Fukuoka Dome were not as numerous as I expected, given that it's the only team in Kyushu and a powerhouse. It was a surprising discovery on my long journey to the stadium.

I hurriedly came here after getting tickets for the Climax Series. I chose the "Grilled Chicken Skin (3 pieces)" for 500 yen and enjoyed it in the infield seats. The taste was delicious! When in Hakata, you have to try this. However, it seemed like it had been kept warm for a long time. It was quite skinny. The flavor was good, so I would like to try it fresh next time. I also tried the lemon sour from the vendor, and it was really delicious! The ice was like the ones from Morinaga Ice Box, and I always have it when I come to the dome. The only downside is that there are fewer vendors compared to beer. Anyway, with the captain hitting a powerful home run and the victory, it was a fun experience. Thank you for the meal.

Watching baseball at Fukuoka PayPay Dome, I was looking for something to go with my beer. Walking around the outer concourse of the outfield seats, I noticed this shop. One of the famous dishes in Hakata is "torikawa," which is chicken skin wrapped around a skewer and grilled until crispy, then seasoned with sauce. It goes really well with beer. This shop, Takenoya, is a takeout yakitori shop that I have used before. I thought they only did takeout, but when I searched, I found out that they also have dine-in locations. It's impressive to find such Hakata gourmet in stadium food. I bought 5 pieces of torikawa (800 yen) here. I enjoyed it with a beer in my seat. The torikawa was indeed wrapped around the skewer, with a nice crispy char on the outside. It wasn't greasy or heavy, and had a good saltiness to it. It's easy to eat while watching baseball, and goes well with beer. In addition to torikawa, they also have other yakitori options and even player-inspired menu items, so there's a variety of things to enjoy.

(Visit in March 2021) In the latter half of March on a weekday, as has become a tradition in recent years, I went on a spring excursion to Fukuoka (･∀･)ﾆﾔﾆﾔ~ Part 3 Here we come, PayPay Dome! On this day, the company for the game was... so I browsed the shops inside the stadium (not really though!). I visited "Hakata Guruguru Torikawa Takenoya Fukuoka PayPay Dome Store" (^^♪ Address: 2-2-2 Jigyohama, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka PayPay Dome GATE 5 Opening hours: According to the events held at PayPay Dome Closed: According to the events held at PayPay Dome We had seats near the left side of the third base, so the shop near GATE 5 was close by. I stopped by on the way to the restroom break between innings (lol). In front of the shop, about 20 customers were lined up in a "lightning bolt" shape. Surprisingly, the line moved quickly, and I ordered and took my items back to my seat. - Hakata Guruguru Torikawa (3 pieces) 500 yen - Barrel-packed Lemon Chu-hi 650 yen The shop opened in 2020. Last year, the preseason games were switched to practice games and held without spectators, so I couldn't come ( ;∀;) When you think of Hakata, one of the specialties is the "torikawa" skewers. The main store is located in Higashihie, Hakata-ku. They also have outlets in neighboring municipalities. I bought the skewers and a chu-hi, so I had them put on a paper tray and took them back to my seat. The skewers were 3 for 500 yen. If you get 5, it's 800 yen, and 10 for 1,400 yen, with the unit price decreasing as you buy more, but my stomach was... (lol). I thought they would be crispy, but they had a soft texture, and were chewy. Different shops have different styles. As for the chu-hi, when you buy it at the shop, it comes with ice. When you buy it from the vendors in the stands, they put frozen fruit juice instead of ice, so it looks yellow and enhances the lemon flavor. The frozen fruit juice substitute for ice also has its own flavor, so it tastes a bit better this way. Due to entry restrictions, there were about a hundred humanoid robots placed from left field to center field, and they moved (danced) before the Hawks' attack in the 7th inning. The cheerleaders were smiling and dancing, and if the Hawks won, we could see fireworks... The production was flashy... that was the first game (･∀･)ｲﾋｯ Thank you for the meal♪

I was looking forward to the All-Star Game ♡ I was excited for the game and the food. Haha. I sat in my seat for a while and enjoyed the pre-game events. I felt like having some snacks in the middle, so I walked around and every shop had a long line. After some hesitation, I found a delicious-looking grilled chicken skewers place! I lined up and bought the Hakata Guruguru Chicken Skewers (10 for ¥1,400). They also had braised pork rice bowl, chicken skewers harami rice bowl, eel and chicken skewers rice bowl, 7 types of grilled chicken skewers, chicken skewers rice cracker with yuzu salt, and salted kombu cabbage. I couldn't find vegetables in other shops and I wanted to eat some, so that's why I lined up. Unfortunately, the salted kombu cabbage was sold out. But I was able to buy the famous Hakata Guruguru Chicken Skewers and they were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It gets cold and hard... well, that's how it goes... oh well, but it was great to see a grand slam home run comeback!!! And thanks to Softbank winning, I got to see fireworks♪
