I was out in Namba on this day, so of course I had to stop by Iranka-san's place! Even in this hot weather, I always crave their beef noodles here. The restaurant is often crowded with people speaking Chinese, but after coming here many times, I've gotten used to the exotic atmosphere. It seems like there are more Japanese customers now too. I think people come here because the food is close to the authentic taste of the country. Our usual order consists of special beef noodles for two, lamb skewers, and cucumber salad. We fill out the order sheet with our preferences like cilantro, garlic leaves, and spicy oil level. They make the noodles right in front of us, and the visual is always impressive. The soup is delicious as always, with its unique Southeast Asian flavors and the perfect level of spiciness. It was a bit spicier than usual this time, but the more I ate, the better it tasted. I finished every last drop of the soup. It was delicious as usual. Thank you for the meal. Additionally, I wonder if there are medicinal herbs and spices in the food because I felt better the next day, with more energy flowing through my body.

The noodles taste just like the Lanzhou Ramen I used to eat in China and are delicious. If you want to eat Chinese noodles today, be sure to try it! The noodles are chewy, and my personal recommendation is the thick noodles (宽面). The spicy toppings are really spicy, so if you're not a fan of spice, I recommend getting them with less spice or without them.

The atmosphere is authentic. The words "Chinese Lanzhou Beef Noodle" caught my eye. You buy a ticket and choose options like whether you want cilantro and how spicy you want it on an order sheet. You can also choose the thickness of the noodles. The noodles are hand-pulled in the shop and contain daikon radish. It's spicy but delicious. I broke a sweat while eating it. A dish that will give you energy.

I visited Iranka for their special beef noodles, which I really love. It was on the way back from having lunch at a restaurant my partner wanted to try. Even though we were already full, I still wanted to try the noodles, so I suggested it to my partner and they agreed. We arrived at the restaurant and bought our meal tickets. We ordered lamb skewers, cucumber salad, and two servings of the special beef noodles. I ordered mine with mild spice, herbs, and garlic leaves, with thick flat noodles. My partner also ordered the special beef noodles with mild spice, herbs, and garlic leaves, but with triangular noodles this time. The special beef noodles at this place are always a favorite of mine. The combination of garlic leaves, coriander, and secret spicy oil on top of the gentle beef bone soup is really addictive. The thick flat noodles are chewy and satisfying, although they can be a bit difficult to slurp. The texture changes as you eat them, becoming softer and easier to break apart as they soak up the soup. When the noodles are gone, I like to drink the remaining soup with the remaining herbs, which is really soothing. The lamb skewers were also delicious, with a good amount of fat and a strong cumin and salt seasoning. They were a perfect accompaniment to the noodles. We also ordered the cucumber salad, which helped to refresh our palates between bites of noodles and meat. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I look forward to trying the other noodle options at this restaurant in the future.

【Spot Name】Ilanxiang ★4.5【Visit Date】April 2023【Payment Method】Cash only (ticket machine)【Ordered Menu】・Special Beef Noodles (Extra Spicy) 850 yen・Grilled Lamb Skewers (5 pieces) 850 yenThe special beef noodles are also known as Lanzhou beef noodles. The clear soup is very delicious and the handmade noodles have a slightly uneven texture which adds to the enjoyment. The grilled lamb skewers were crispy and tasty, without a strong lamb flavor. The skewers had a decent amount of meat on them and the sharp ends required caution when eating.【Experience】Located near Namba in Osaka, this Lanzhou beef noodle shop is popular among Chinese customers. It was quite crowded, so we had to wait for about 10 minutes even when we arrived around 1 pm. The shop has 3 counter seats and many table seats.

At Irlanxiang, I had yakisoba and tea-infused eggs. The yakisoba had a soy sauce base with plenty of homemade noodles that were chewy and abundant. It felt like the noodles made up about 95% of the dish. I couldn't get enough of the noodles, it was pure bliss. Delicious. Be warned, there is a generous amount of cilantro used, so if you're not a fan, take note.

I visited a restaurant called "Silk Road Dining" on a holiday, combining it with a leisurely bike ride on my road bike. The main attraction was the incredibly thick noodles, similar to connecting about 10 pieces of fettuccine. The restaurant specializes in Lanzhou cuisine, which doesn't try to cater to Japanese tastes but instead brings the authentic atmosphere of a Lanzhou eatery to this location. The ambiance of the restaurant truly feels like you've been transported to a local eatery along the Silk Road. Despite the staff not speaking much Japanese and the majority of customers being Chinese, the experience felt authentic. The ordering process was unique, with each table having a sheet in Japanese where you could mark your desired toppings and noodle thickness. The soup was a clear broth made from beef bones, with chunks of beef, daikon, plenty of cilantro, and thinly sliced beef char siu as toppings. The noodles were hand-pulled and adjusted to your preference, offering a chewy texture similar to fresh pasta. The meat was flavorful and not too tough, reminiscent of slightly dried corned beef. I also tried the lamb skewers, which were marinated in a blend of spices and had an exotic aroma but tasted surprisingly delicious. Located near Sakaisuji and right next to the entrance of Kuromon Market, this restaurant is highly recommended for those looking to experience a chaotic yet exotic dining experience.

Near Nihonbashi Station. The Kintetsu line is closer. Surprisingly, it was crowded. There were people speaking Japanese with their families or friends, while the staff were speaking in Chinese, so about half of the crowd seemed to be Chinese. The taste was better than I expected. By adding cilantro, it quickly became an Asian flavor, but without it, it was more to the liking of Japanese people. The spiciness was not too strong, as even I, who is not good with spice, didn't find it spicy at all with medium spice level, so it might be worth trying the spiciest option.

Upon entering the restaurant, I purchased a ticket for the special beef noodle at the ticket machine on the right. I then sat at the counter seat and filled out the order sheet. I chose medium spiciness, flat noodles, with added garlic and cilantro. The noodles were chewy and the beef bone soup was light yet flavorful. The spicy seasoning and aromatic vegetables added a nice kick. I ordered medium spiciness this time, which was delicious, but I think I will try the thin noodles next time. I will definitely visit again.

I was looking at reviews from competitive eaters and this restaurant caught my eye. Eating spicy food in the hot summer to feel refreshed! The grilled lamb skewers also look delicious. I entered the restaurant around noon on Saturday and it was about 80% full. I purchased meal tickets from the vending machine. I ordered the special beef noodles for 850 yen and two lamb skewers for 380 yen. I sat at the counter and marked my order on the order sheet: spiciness - mild, noodles - flat, garlic leaves - yes, coriander - yes. If you don't mind, please add coriander and garlic leaves. The flavor is great and delicious. First, the special beef noodles were served. The soup had garlic leaves and coriander floating on top. The clear soup was delicious, possibly made from beef bones. Next, the flat noodles were smooth and chewy, with a great texture that complemented the soup and spices. After mixing everything together, I tasted the soup. The spices and flavors spread, making it deliciously spicy. The noodles varied in texture, like thick and thin noodles, making it enjoyable and not boring. The portion of noodles was satisfyingly large. Later, the grilled lamb skewers arrived. The surface was coated with spice powder. I cautiously put the hot iron skewer in my mouth. Delicious! The lamb flavor was explosive, with small cuts bursting with umami. The lamb flavor was present but not overpowering. It was so delicious that I wanted a beer. The strong flavor on the surface made me wonder if there were artificial seasonings in the spice powder. If there were, I think it would be even better without them. I apologize if I am mistaken. The beef noodles, flat noodles, and lamb skewers were all new experiences for me, but they were incredibly delicious. The flavors of the spices, coriander, and garlic leaves were addictive. It seems that the staff and regular customers are mostly locals. The taste is not tailored for the Japanese palate, but it is unique and delicious. With so many types of noodles, I want to try the others too.

This is Lanzhou Ramen! The noodles are hand-pulled, so they have a nice chewy texture and are delicious. I was a bit hesitant at first when I saw the "challenge spicy" label, but it was actually just as spicy as Korean spicy ramen, so it was manageable. The grilled lamb skewers were juicy and tasty as well! Thank you for the meal! #Japan's busiest intersection #Kuromon Market #Iranko #Lanzhou Ramen #Former Fujio Food Tempura Shop location #Kuromon Ramen closed #The Minami area is experiencing rapid turnover of shops due to the pandemic #Many shops have their shutters closed.

【Store Name】Ilan Xiang ★ 4.5【Visit Date】May 2022【Payment Method】Cash only (vending machine)【Ordered Menu】・Special Beef Bone Noodles 850 yenThe beef bone noodles are ordered using an order sheet where you can specify toppings, etc. The cilantro flavor was strong and incredibly delicious. The thickness of the noodles was not strictly standardized, giving it a handmade feel which was really nice. (You can choose the thickness of the noodles on the order sheet) I ordered it extra spicy, but it wasn't too spicy to eat and was really delicious. The addition of daikon was refreshing. Today I went to Namba for work... After finishing one task around noon, I started feeling hungry. It was time for lunch, so I decided to visit a place I was curious about, Iranka. I arrived at 12:10 PM. There were 2 groups of 4 customers each already there. I purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine near the entrance. There were various menu options, but I chose the default menu item, the special beef noodle soup. A female staff member with a Chinese accent greeted me in Japanese. In the kitchen, a male staff member (owner?) was ready. I filled out my preferences on the order sheet on the table. My choices were cilantro yes, leaf garlic yes, special spicy oil large spicy, and thick flat noodles. I handed the order sheet to the female staff member who then relayed the order to the male staff member in the kitchen in Chinese. He immediately started hand-making the noodles upon hearing the order. After about 5 minutes of waiting, my order arrived: special beef noodle soup with cilantro, leaf garlic, special spicy oil, large spicy, and thick flat noodles! The green and deep red contrast was impressive! I started with the soup, which seemed to be soy sauce-based with a unique richness. The strong impact of leaf garlic and cilantro was noticeable. Despite ordering it large spicy, the amount of spicy oil was quite high, but the spiciness was not overwhelming. It had more of an oily impression. The wide noodles were something you don't typically see in Japanese ramen shops. The uneven texture of the hand-made noodles gave them a powerful presence. When slurping the noodles, there was a slightly embarrassing sound. The chewy texture was a delightful experience. The beef in the bowl was a mystery meat, probably beef. I wasn't sure how to eat it, so I just added it to the bowl and ate it with the soup, which didn't add much flavor. There were also diced beef pieces floating in the soup. Daikon was included in the ingredients, which was a common addition in Lanzhou beef noodles. It was simply delicious. Adding spicy soy sauce and black vinegar changed the atmosphere completely. I personally prefer more black vinegar. After finishing the meal with a satisfying slurp, I experienced a sensation worth trying. Thank you for the meal.

Located near the entrance of Kuromon Market on Sakai-suji in Nihonbashi. There are counter seats and table booths. It operates on a food ticket system, so you need to purchase your ticket at the ticket machine near the entrance. The menu is in Japanese, but don't worry, it's easy to navigate. I ordered the special beef noodles. Once seated, you fill out an order sheet. It's nice that you can choose your preferred noodles since they are handmade. You can also choose to have cilantro and leaf garlic in your dish. I opted for mild spiciness and medium-thin noodles. There are also additional toppings available for a fee. The noodles are made fresh after you place your order, so they arrived quickly. I started with the regular soup without chili oil, and it was delicious with a nice blend of spices. The soup is quite different from traditional Japanese ramen broth due to the spices used. Some may find it too spicy, but I personally enjoyed it. The noodles were intentionally a bit firm, and mixing in the chili oil enhanced the flavor. I added more chili oil from the table condiments for an extra kick. Since the noodles are handmade, they are long and chewy. As I continued eating, the noodles reached a perfect texture. Given the location, there were many Chinese customers, about half and half with Japanese customers. This spicy and numbing noodle dish was different from mapo tofu noodles. Next time, I might try the extra spicy version. Although there are beef noodle shops in Osaka, this was my first time trying it. I wish I had tried it sooner. It was a delicious meal!

Last time, I visited the restaurant on a full stomach, so I only had a little taste. It was delicious, and I thought to myself that I want to eat it again. My partner said to me, "If you eat the whole thing, it will definitely be spicy! It's hot, it's a lot of food, you'll be sweating!" But I replied, "I enjoyed the spiciness last time! I can handle a full portion!" During this conversation, we discovered another nearby restaurant that we wanted to visit. We decided to go there together. I finished work early and skipped lunch today, so I was feeling hungry when I got home. As soon as I arrived, my partner took me to Osaka! We arrived at the restaurant, purchased our meal tickets, found a table, and quickly filled out the order sheet since we were already familiar with the process. I ordered the special beef noodle soup with coriander and leaf garlic, and opted for the slightly spicy secret chili oil that I had tried last time. The noodles were slightly thinner this time, a standard flat noodle. My partner also ordered the special beef noodle soup with coriander and leaf garlic, but chose the normal level of spiciness for the chili oil, as the previous visit had been too spicy. The noodles were the same as last time, a flat noodle. We also ordered cucumber salad (important). Since we had plans after, we decided to skip the skewers this time. The staff seemed to have some knowledge of Japanese and were very courteous in guiding us through the menu items on the table. We could hear the sound of noodles being freshly made in the kitchen. I was excited to see my noodles being prepared through the transparent partition. The cucumber salad arrived first, and it tasted even better than last time. Then, our noodles were served. They looked delicious, but when I tried to pick them up with my chopsticks, they were heavy. The portion was huge! My partner kindly offered to help me finish if I couldn't manage, so I felt relieved and started eating. The noodles were easier to eat this time, just the right thickness. The soup was spicy but had a perfect balance, and I could feel the numbing sensation. It was delicious, even though there was so much to eat. As we progressed, we tasted each other's soup. My partner's soup, with normal spiciness, was completely different from the mild one I had. It was also delicious. I imagined making a hot pot with that soup. Even without the spiciness, it would be great with tofu and meatballs, and rice as the finishing touch. The thickest flat noodles were the best choice for me. They were slightly easier to eat this time, but still a bit stretchy. I glanced sideways and saw skewers being grilled in the kitchen. I really wanted to try them. Suddenly, my partner was looking at me silently. When I looked down, I realized that I had almost finished my noodles. My partner said, "You finished it easily! It was delicious, and I was really hungry!" I couldn't find the peanut snack that was included last time. Maybe it was at the bottom of the soup? My partner finished eating before me and I thought to myself, "You have a good metabolism." We decided that next time, we would indulge in plenty of skewers as well. Despite being far away, it seems like we will be visiting this restaurant occasionally. The list of restaurants we want to visit in this area keeps growing more distant. Well, that was a delicious meal. Shall we go again next time?

My stomach was getting fuller and fuller, but I was taken to a second restaurant. I couldn't understand any Japanese, so I was a bit lost. I ended up ordering lamb skewers and my companion ordered the special beef noodle. The cucumber appetizer was served first, followed by the noodles and skewers. The noodles were thick and had a good texture, while the soup was light and had a hint of five-spice flavor. The lamb skewers were tasty with cumin and chili seasoning. My companion found the food spicy, but I enjoyed the balance of flavors in the soup. I decided that next time, I would try the noodles and beef skewers. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

As I was walking around, I stumbled upon Lanzhou Ramen. I couldn't overlook it for ramen lovers like me! It seems like it opened at the beginning of this year. Most of the customers were Chinese, which may be due to the location, but that actually raised my expectations. I ordered the special beef ramen from the vending machine at the entrance. The taste was typical of Lanzhou Ramen, with a light yet flavorful broth made from beef. The seasoning was just right. You can choose from 7 types of noodles, and based on my experience, I knew I preferred the medium-thick noodles, so I ordered that. The noodles were firm and delicious. I think this place is quite high-quality among Lanzhou Ramen restaurants. I will definitely visit again!

Today, I visited "Iranco (Iranko)" located on Sakai-suji Street. This place used to be "Ebinoya Kuromon Ichiba-ten" before, but it reopened in January. I stumbled upon it the other day, so I was looking forward to trying it out. I ordered the Special Beef Noodle (850 yen), which is their signature dish. First, I purchased a meal ticket. When I sat down, there was an order sheet where I could specify the amount of cilantro, leaf garlic, chili oil, and type of noodles I wanted. I chose "cilantro - yes, leaf garlic - no, mild chili oil, medium-thin noodles". As a special offer for the grand opening, they included beef and seasoned egg for free. The clear soup with red chili oil and green cilantro looked beautiful. I slowly sipped the soup, trying not to choke. The irregular medium-thin noodles had a chewy texture similar to udon. The beef was moist and flavorful. It was delicious. Overall, trying authentic Chinese ramen like this made me realize how advanced Japanese ramen has become. I will continue to strive for improvement on my culinary journey, with no regrets.

It was open facing the entrance of Kuromon Market from Sakaisuji. A Lanzhou ramen restaurant. Lanzhou ramen became my favorite about two years ago, and I visited a few places, but it takes time to be recognized, and many places closed down quickly due to the influence of COVID-19. This place seems to have opened anew on New Year's Day this year. I visited during lunchtime. As soon as you enter the store, there is a ticket machine on the right side. In addition to their specialty beef noodles, they also offer dishes like ankake noodles, soupless mixed noodles, yakisoba, pickled vegetable noodles, and more. They also have drinks, lamb skewers, and dumplings. Since I was alone this time, I sat at the counter seat near the entrance. The recommended seat is the table seat at the back if you go with two or more people. You can see the performance of cutting and boiling the noodles after you place your order. When you hand over the food ticket, fill out the order sheet on the table and hand it over together. The items to fill out are whether you want cilantro, leaf garlic, and chili oil or not. Also, you can choose from 7 different shapes and thicknesses of noodles. This is the fun part. I chose flat noodles. They were slightly larger than kishimen noodles. It also came with an egg and separate meat, which I think is a great deal. I enjoyed the soup and everything else. It was delicious. Bon appétit!

Recently opened in Nihonbashi, Lanzhou Ramen!! The restaurant has a Chinese vibe both from the exterior and interior, making it quite interesting. Inside, there is a room where they make the noodles, which seems to be where they make them! I selected the regular ramen, which comes with egg and char siu, offering good value for the price! Before I knew it, the ramen was served! The aroma is quite stimulating with a nice spice scent! I took a sip of the soup, which was clear but had a strong richness and umami flavor! I slurped up a mouthful of noodles, which were quite long and seemed endless! Unable to reach the end of the noodles, I had to bite them off! The flavor, texture, and the way the noodles interact with the soup were all well-balanced! The egg and char siu toppings were also delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I am "Noronori," mainly exploring lunch spots around Sakai. It seems to be a "Lanzhou Ramen shop." I've heard that the ramen we eat in Japan is not found in China. Although Japanese companies are expanding and there are more Japanese-style ramen shops now, it doesn't seem like they are everywhere in China because it's a vast country. So, what is "Lanzhou Ramen" in China? Lanzhou Ramen is a noodle dish originating from Lanzhou in Gansu Province, northwest China. It is a Halal dish commonly eaten by Muslims in the northwest region of China, using no pork. It features a rich soup made from more than 10 spices and beef bones, served with thin hand-pulled noodles topped with chili oil and coriander. The noodles are softer compared to Japanese ramen. The soup is slightly spicy but not as thick as tonkotsu ramen, and it can be enjoyed like Chinese medicinal cuisine. It seems to have been popular in Tokyo since around 2017, but it hasn't spread nationwide due to a shortage of noodle artisans. I intended to eat the special beef noodles, but I was dazzled by the special ankake noodles and accidentally ordered that. The noodles that came out were not thickened. It was more like a medicinal soup than ramen! It's definitely not for those who don't like Sichuan pepper. It felt like Chinese medicinal cuisine. I was imagining Taiwan's "beef noodles," but it was completely different. Thank you for the meal. Source: https://ameblo.jp/norinoribenben20072000/entry-12651751713.html
