The owner is from a mixology bar in Tokyo's Yaesu district. As the name suggests, this bar stands out from the typical bars with a unique and distinctive concept. Inside the bar, there are alcoves and plants, and they use high-quality tea leaves from the renowned Hoshino Seichaen tea plantation in Yame, Fukuoka, for their original tea liqueur. The owner is soft-spoken and quiet, but you can feel the dedication and attention to detail in the bar. We ordered the recommended cocktail course, which included the following three cocktails: Sencha Sparkling with Hyuganatsu, Hoshino Village Fresh Oolong Tea with American Cherry, and Okinawa Jasmine Tea with Melon. These cocktails combine seasonal fruits and tea with the bar's original tea liqueur to create unique cocktails that can only be enjoyed at this bar. All of them have a gentle and delicate flavor with a low alcohol content. It's no wonder that many customers come for a date. It's recommended to arrive early, like before 8 pm, and enjoy a relaxing time savoring the tea liqueur while listening to the sound of water falling into the alcove from the bamboo fountain.

I heard there is a place that serves tea cocktails, so I decided to visit. It is located a little off the main street, the sign is not very clear, but look for a droplet sign. They offer a variety of cocktails, but I chose a sparkling tea cocktail. My companion had a tea and a Moscow Mule-like cocktail. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is lovely, making it a great place for even a solo female visitor.

On this day, I tried the "Sencha Sparkling," a refreshing drink made by mixing Yame tea extract with sparkling wine. The aroma was wonderful. The "Genmaicha x Fresh Fruit" cocktail combined genmaicha with citrusy and sweet flavors of Hyuganatsu fruit, creating a delicious blend of sweetness and fragrant aroma. Lastly, the "GI Certified Yame Hon Gyokuro Droplet Martini" was a tasty cocktail that pleased even the tea producers, with a balance of aroma and flavor that smoothly transitioned into the refreshing sweetness of a martini. Takahashi, who regards the pioneer mixologist Souzumi Nagumo as his mentor, creates cocktails that allow you to enjoy complex flavors as if savoring a dish. You can savor unexpected menu items like "shochu x wasabi flavor" and "shochu x truffle flavor x strawberry," experiencing a sense of excitement while leisurely spending time in an adult-oriented space. Of course, cocktails made with Shizuku's carefully selected tea leaves are also delicious, but even those unfamiliar with shochu should try shochu cocktails at Shizuku.

A mixology bar with a tea theme. The concept and menu structure felt familiar, and it turns out the person behind it used to work at Minamiizumi's mixology salon. I initially thought it was a sister store to Ginza Six's mixology salon, but it seems this one came first. They worked at the Yaesu location in the early days before branching out on their own and opening the mixology salon. There is no financial relationship, but they still maintain a close connection. They discussed their favorite cocktails from the salon while deciding on a drink. I ordered the Tangerine and Green Tea cocktail, Matcha Normandy Connection, Hojicha Rum, and Kumquat Moscow Mule. The standout was the Kumquat Moscow Mule. The Sichuan pepper vodka used as a base was fantastic, with a clear Sichuan pepper aroma and tingling sensation. When combined with the slightly sharp astringency and bitterness of the kumquat, the balance was incredible. The Matcha Normandy Connection was also good, with Calvados, Amaretto, and matcha. The thick tea bowl had a slow flow rate, filling the mouth wide. It was probably a completely different experience if you drank it in a thin glass. The mellow sweetness and astringency merged into a smoothness, enveloped by the aroma of tea. The spacious interior of the bar was very relaxing. I really love this place. Honestly, I feel more comfortable here than at the mixology salon. (The salon is located in a commercial facility and has a compact layout, so it's different.) I'm happy that I found a favorite bar in Hakata. ♡

I couldn't find the entrance and ended up walking back and forth in front of the shop several times... "Shizuku" BAR in Fukuoka. Despite it being late on a Friday night, there were two groups of customers in the calm interior. You can enjoy cocktails made with tea such as matcha, gyokuro, hojicha, and genmaicha at this BAR. It's exciting, isn't it? I wanted to have a quick drink before heading home, so I had a drink made with gyokuro. It has a bitterness but you can also taste the sweetness of the tea, a mature flavor. The atmosphere of the shop is great, and it's a lovely BAR, so I would like to visit again.

The bar opens at 3 pm, which is convenient for those who enjoy drinking. On this particular day, the reviewer requested a Sidecar cocktail and ended up trying five different drinks, including tea-infused cocktails and sake. The bill came out to around 6,500 yen, and thanks to the tea used in the drinks, the reviewer didn't feel too intoxicated.
