Founded in 1897 by Yoshikawa Ichizo, who was originally from Kobe and trained as an apprentice at Tokyo's Yonezawa Fugetsudo, with the approval of the Osumi family. The store is known for its gaufres. Today's snack is from Kobe Fugetsudo's 2021 Valentine's series, the Chocola Crunch with 5 pieces for 540 yen. It includes 3 milk and 2 berry sparkling flavors. One of the souvenirs I received was a Petit Gaufre from Kari Tsukido. When I was young, my relatives in Ueno sometimes had Ueno Kari Tsukido's Gaufre at home, and I have fond memories of enjoying them. So, I still love Gaufre. The Petit Gaufre is not a large Gaufre like the ones from the past, but a palm-sized Gaufre. The flavors are the traditional vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. I like vanilla the best. This is a baked snack with almonds. It is crispy with lots of almonds. I bought it to serve to my friends who are coming over to my house! I thought it would be nice to have with tea. It was also well received by my friends! It was perfect with black tea! (^o^)/

Kobe Fugetsudo @ Umeda I bought some cute wagashi (Japanese sweets) made with animal motifs. The Otome Hitsuji ★ was colorful and adorable, with a gold leaf coating and strawberry bean paste inside. The Oyogu Shirokuma ★ had a white bear peeking out of a crystal ball made of ice and red bean paste. It was so cute and creative! The craftsmanship and ideas were amazing! The taste was very refreshing.

I'm actually a Hello Kitty fan♪ Well, just a cat lover, that's all... I've loved Hello Kitty since I was a child. So when I receive Hello Kitty items, it makes me happy, even though it's just a normal snack like the Gofuru from Fugetsudo. Not only the cute design on the can, but also the packaging inside and even on the Gofuru itself, the overwhelming presence of Hello Kitty is just amazing♪ Did anyone else feel like they enjoyed it more than the usual Gofuru? As a thank you, I received some waffles from Kobe Fugetsudo. They are Halloween-themed and really cute. When you think of Fugetsudo, you think of their waffles, right? The thin, crispy waffle shell with a delicate sweet cream filling is just delicious. While other companies also make waffles, the crispiness of this shell can only be found at Fugetsudo. The mini waffle set includes vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate flavors, with 3 pieces of each in 2 bags. They are all tasty, but my favorite is vanilla, followed by strawberry and then chocolate. I love waffles, so I devoured them in no time.

Now, at Daimaru Umeda Store, not Umeda Ten, but "mise" (store) as they say. At Daimaru, there is a display of the same old design waffle tin from Kazuki-do. They still have the Hanshin Tigers waffle tin, but understandably, they don't have it at Daimaru, even though it's a Hanshin department store, because it's a nearby competitor. That's fine. Back in the day, they also sold waffle tins for our beloved Nankai Hawks, and I managed to get the tin later on. This time, the Bousse was prominently displayed. I tried the Honey Lemon Bousse, and it was delicious. It had a creamy filling with a hint of sweetness and lemon peel bits inside, giving off a nice aroma. It pairs well with tea.

I'm always happy to receive it, as it's one of my favorite sweets. This time, I received a set of 2 Petit Gaufres with a zodiac design for the New Year. The tin can with artwork by artist Yusaburo Kawase is cute and festive. The taste is as you would expect - light and crispy! The buttercream is gently sweet, and it brings a nostalgic feeling as I finish a piece in one go. It's truly delicious! I don't think there's anyone who doesn't like this treat. It's a delightful sweet that you're always happy to receive!

I received a gift of Gofuru from Fugetsudo from the company. There were two rectangular cans, one containing the regular version. Each bag had one piece of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I have always liked vanilla, so I wondered if they sell a version with only vanilla. In the end, I ate all three pieces. The other can contained Gofuru with matcha, coffee, and black tea flavors, with each bag containing three pieces of the same flavor. I tried the black tea flavor, which had a cream with Earl Grey flavor sandwiched in it, giving it an elegant taste. I enjoyed it with barley tea, but I wonder what would go well with it... maybe black tea? But I still like vanilla the best. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to Goofuru, I imagine a childhood memory of receiving a large snack as a gift, larger than the palm of my hand. However, this time, I received a set of three smaller sizes (coffee, black tea, matcha). It's an interesting combination of tea flavors, suitable for both children and adults. I tried all three at once, and the coffee flavor had a nice bitterness to it. The black tea had a distinct Earl Grey aroma and tasted great.
