Cake shop "COLOCO" in Asahikawa City, Harumitsu 4-jo 4-chome. Map here: https://goo.gl/maps/Sub6pwXFV6T1kkHy7. Open from 10:00 to 18:00, closed on Tuesdays. Parking available, takeout available. Please contact the store for current opening hours, closures, takeout availability, etc. Official Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coloco.2011/ It's the 10th anniversary of COLOCO. I went there for the first time right after it opened. I've been there a few times besides what I've written in my blog. It's quite close to my place. In the early days of opening, I thought that the store and the cakes looked chic, or rather understated, but with good taste and quite delicious, so I hoped that others would also appreciate it... (back then the store was always empty). But now it's a popular shop. Everyone has realized the goodness of COLOCO. This time, I came to buy a cake. Yes, December means cake, and it's the "birth festival" of "aka." Which one should I choose, I wonder. Oh yes, now they also have bread. I haven't tried it yet, but they all look so delicious. First, Mont Baum (slice) for 300 yen tax included. Baumkuchen with cheesecake poured into the center (hole?), a gorgeous technique like "cast: mother - Naoko Iijima, daughter - Kanna Hashimoto." Different types but both are my favorites. Mmm, delicious. A quite rich, gooey cheesecake. This is the type I like. The Baumkuchen is moist and sweet. Both of them were just what I like. Now, this was the appetizer... I mean the cheese appetizer... The main cheese dish is... Honey Basque Cheesecake (12cm) for 1600 yen tax included. Birthday cakes are always better as a whole, no matter how old you are. I'll take a 1/4 slice. It has a rich sweetness from acacia honey, moist and gooey. The lightly bitter flavor on the baked surface adds a touch of sophistication to this high-quality adult cheesecake. I could eat this every week.

- Cake Roll 480 yen It is a rich chocolate cake that is not too sweet, with smooth cream layers that are delicious. - HONEY Basque Cheesecake 480 yen It is not too sweet and the deliciousness is concentrated. - HONEY Shortcake 500 yen It is not too sweet, with smooth cream and a smooth cake that is delicious. - Pudding 300 yen It has a strong egg flavor and is slightly firm, making it a delicious pudding that suits my taste. - Punch Cheeseburger 220 yen The balance of hamburger and cheese is good, and although it is small, it is satisfying. - Escargot Chocolate 240 yen It has a strong chocolate flavor and the pastry is like a croissant, making it delicious. The service is good.

This cake shop has high reviews, but I found the cream puff to be a bit disappointing. The pastry was tough and seemed a bit moist. The cream was the same as in the cream puff, but it tasted better in the cream bread. I also tried some other bread, but they were all just average. It's far from my house so I probably won't go back, but if I pass by again, I might try some different bread next time.

2023.2 "Dessert de COLOCO" is the place I visited again. I stopped by after work on a day when I had to rush to the dentist at 5 o'clock like the wind. By the way, the remaining three are... being quiet like a forest during a meeting, being angry like fire with the boss, and being as immovable as a mountain without working. I visited with the purpose of buying a souvenir, but when I saw the pudding, I felt like eating it, so I bought it to take home. The pudding costs 250 yen (including tax). One bite. Hmm, it's a delicious pudding with a rich taste of eggs. The texture is smooth and the quality is high!! This might be more recommended than cake!! And it's cheap too!! (laughs)

I chose "Dessert de COLOCO" for Christmas cake this year. I was actually thinking of getting a cake from my recent favorite, "PATISSERIE Harukuru" in Higashikawa Town, but I gave up because there might be a snowstorm in winter and I wouldn't be able to go pick up the cake. "Dessert de COLOCO" is less than a 10-minute drive away, so it's convenient. As for the Christmas weather, it was clear skies. The cake I got was the Strawberry Decoration (4 size) for 3000 yen (tax included). It has a refined sweetness and the sponge inside is moist and delicious. Taro also enjoyed it a lot.

Here I took a break at "Dessert de COLOCO". There was a slight wait as only up to three groups could enter at the same time. I ordered "Koroko" for 430 yen, "Opila" for 380 yen, and "Pistachio Choux" for 260 yen, totaling 1,070 yen (tax included) for three items. Of course, I couldn't miss the chocolate cake called "Koroko" named after the store. It was simply delicious. Pistachio is trendy now, and there were many variations to choose from. I ended up selecting "Opila" and "Pistachio Choux", both had a perfect balance of sweetness. I chose this shop on a whim, but I was impressed with my choice (laughs).

I bought a birthday cake for my family in Asahikawa. I chose it because it had high ratings on Tabelog, and it was really delicious. The whipped cream was not too rich, and the sponge was just the right softness. I feel like I will visit every time I go to Asahikawa.

On 22/03/13, I bought a "Cream Puff for 130 yen" as a snack during the holiday. I wanted to treat my wife and daughter with the Valentine's return gift. It was already past 12 o'clock when I arrived, but there were only 3 cream puffs left! Of course, I quickly bought them all. It was a close call (^_^;) At 3 o'clock snack time, my family and I enjoyed the cream puffs. The custard inside was elegantly sweet, packed tightly in the crispy puff. As always, it was delicious and reliable. This is our favorite pastry shop. Looking forward to more delicious treats in the future!

I stopped by to buy souvenirs and also bought some cakes for reviewing. The strawberry tart was 360 yen and the chocolate cream puff was 140 yen. Cakes these days tend to be expensive, but overall, these ones were quite reasonable. The strawberries on the tart were small but sweet and delicious. The custard had a good balance and the tart crust had a nice buttery aroma. I also tried the cream puff. The pastry was soft and the cream inside was quite sweet. I prefer a bit less sweetness, but the slight bitterness of the chocolate was also tasty. The service was polite and the tart crust was delicious, so I might try their baked goods next time. But I'm also curious about their bread.

October 2021. This is my second visit to "Dessert de COLOCO" this month. I usually don't review a restaurant multiple times in the same month, unless I'm using that fact as a joke. But I've decided to make an exception this time. Why? Well, there's no particular reason. If I wanted to review it, then I'll review it, simple as that, right? (laughs) I had to go to Sapporo the next day, so I went to buy a souvenir for my mother at home. Taro also said, "Let's go buy a souvenir for Grandma~♪" so I took him with me. My mother at home seemed tired both mentally and physically lately, so I ended up buying a more expensive souvenir than usual to cheer her up. I didn't want my wife to think that I only care about my own family, so I bought a cake to lighten the mood (^^;) Mont Baum... 1200 yen (tax included). This is a Baum cake for followers of the Jodo Shinshu sect. A follower's Baum, so to speak!! (laughs) "Mont" is German for "moon." Just like "Mont" sounds like "Horn," right? (laughs) I nodded in agreement with "Mont," right? (laughs) It's a Baum cake with cheesecake inside. The cheesecake inside is rich and delicious without being too heavy. The outer Baum cake is quite firm due to the cheesecake inside. The taste is good, but the texture is a bit lacking. Well, it can't be helped, right? (*´∀`)♪

I bought cakes at the dessert shop Dessert de COLOCO in the city. There were many small cakes in the showcase, so I bought a lot while hesitating. Basque cheese mini 380 yen, Ozu 380 yen, Tiramisu 360 yen, Pistachio 380 yen, Fruit tart 380 yen, Rare cheese 360 yen, Dorayaki 200 yen.

I visited the eat-in space but it was closed, so I tried the takeout instead. The Basque cake lacked the richness of cheese and the cream puff was mediocre. The baked goods were just average. The prices were quite reasonable compared to Tokyo, so it might be unavoidable. Despite being highly rated in Asahikawa, cakes may be better in urban areas, especially Tokyo.

In 2021, I used to go to "Dessert de COLOCO" often, even though it was thick and priced in the 300 yen range. Sometimes I would cheat on it with Comic BonBon (laughs). It's a stylish patisserie that is rare in the Asahikawa north area. I bought a cake for my birthday. I usually buy sliced cakes instead of whole cakes because Taro can't eat them, and I get tired of whole cakes later on. It would be nice if cakes were like pizzas, with different flavors in each quarter (laughs). The Mont Blanc costs 400 yen and has a whole chestnut inside. The cream is very refined, not too sweet, and has a nice level of sweetness. It's delicious!

The bread is delicious. There are quite a few Danish-style breads available, along with sandwich bread and savory bread. The milk bread is soft and has a gentle sweetness. The edamame bread is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with cheese scattered throughout. Both breads have a mild and pleasant taste, not overly seasoned, and get tastier as you chew.

I visited "Dessert de COLOCO" in Asahikawa City for the first time. I bought "Tart Fromage 370 yen", "Choco Chou 140 yen", and "Coroco 390 yen". The "Tart Fromage" has a strong cheese flavor with a moist texture on top and a crispy texture on the bottom, making it delicious. The "Choco Chou" has plenty of chocolate custard cream inside and is not too sweet, making it very tasty. The "Coroco" is the most popular item, a milk crepe-like texture with a smooth melting chocolate cake. All the products at this shop are of high quality and reasonably priced, making it hard to choose just one.

On 20/11/08, I bought a Mont Baum cake for my daughter's birthday celebration, along with an apple pie, from my favorite bakery. My daughter loved the Mont Baum cake, which is a Baumkuchen made with local ingredients, paired with a cheesecake. We ended up making two trips between home and the bakery because my daughter wanted to share the cake with me. The apple pie was filled with Hokkaido apples, giving it a slightly tart flavor. My daughter seemed satisfied with the cakes, and she is already looking forward to Christmas. This bakery is our go-to place for delicious cakes, and we will continue to be regular customers.

I had visited COLOCO before, but it's a bit far from my home so I hadn't been there in a while. This time, I bought my favorite Florentine, got lured into buying Yoshinori Coffee by a friend, saw a delicious looking bread at the bakery and ended up buying the edamame and cheese bread that wasn't in my plans, and also couldn't resist buying a baked balm that caught my eye. My husband and I had the baked balm after dinner! I really wanted to eat it right after buying it. Unfortunately, the caramelized part was no longer crispy. Too bad. The cream in the center of the balm was delicious! My son, who isn't a fan of cheese, ate the edamame and cheese bread slowly but managed to finish it, so I think he enjoyed it. I haven't tried the Florentine and coffee yet, but I'm sure they'll be delicious. I'm looking forward to it!

It's a holiday and even though it's almost 10 o'clock, there is a line at the register. The parking lot is not too crowded, but it seems like a shop loved by the locals. Besides cakes, they also have bread including square loaves. Popular sweets for souvenirs sell out quickly. Finally, it was my turn, but the pudding soft-serve was sold out. I settled for a soft-serve ice cream instead. It melted quickly in the hot weather, but it was delicious. I also couldn't resist trying the cream puff and baked Baum cake, as well as the red bean matcha bread. The cream was fine and smooth. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I bought some bread at "Dessert de COLOCO" located in front of the Self-Defense Forces North Gate at 1-45 Harukou 4-jo 4-chome in Asahikawa City. I went in the evening, so they were selling them for 100 yen each. I bought a red bean bun in the front, a mini sesame red bean bread on the top right, and a chocolate one on the top left. COLOCO opened in March 2011. The red bean bun and mini sesame red bean bread had a lot of delicious red bean paste in them. Normally they are sold for over 200 yen each, but they were selling them for 100 yen each in the evening, so it was a good deal. Thank you for the meal.

03/11/19 Celebrating my daughter's birthday with the family at her and my wife's favorite restaurant. Apparently, they have visited this place several times while I was away on business trips. "I didn't want to come with you, dad." Why not? "Because you take pictures and it's embarrassing." "We have to pretend to be strangers in public." I'm sorry, dear wife and daughter... Today's highlight was the "Mont Baum". A rich and flavorful cheesecake paired with a crispy Baumkuchen. When these two come together, they create an unbeatable deliciousness. We also bought some baked goods and bread. The rusks we had for snacks were delicious (tears). The bread we had for lunch was also delicious (tears x2). Especially the cream bread was irresistible. They use locally sourced ingredients as much as possible, which is their commitment. Maybe that's why the prices are a bit high. But everything is of excellent quality worth the price. I will definitely keep coming back! Dear wife and daughter, please let me know when you're going next time...

This is my second visit. It's a cute cake shop. Since it was evening, there were fewer varieties compared to last time. I bought a cake called "An". I found the fusion of Japanese and Western styles interesting. It's unique to have red bean paste in a cake, isn't it?
