It's the 10th anniversary of COLOCO. I went there for the first time right after it opened. I've been there a few times besides what I've written in my blog. It's quite close to my place. In the early days of opening, I thought that the store and the cakes looked chic, or rather understated, but with good taste and quite delicious, so I hoped that others would also appreciate it... (back then the store was always empty). But now it's a popular shop. Everyone has realized the goodness of COLOCO. This time, I came to buy a cake. Yes, December means cake, and it's the "birth festival" of "aka." Which one should I choose, I wonder. Oh yes, now they also have bread. I haven't tried it yet, but they all look so delicious.
First, Mont Baum (slice) for 300 yen tax included. Baumkuchen with cheesecake poured into the center (hole?), a gorgeous technique like "cast: mother - Naoko Iijima, daughter - Kanna Hashimoto." Different types but both are my favorites. Mmm, delicious. A quite rich, gooey cheesecake. This is the type I like. The Baumkuchen is moist and sweet. Both of them were just what I like.
Now, this was the appetizer... I mean the cheese appetizer... The main cheese dish is... Honey Basque Cheesecake (12cm) for 1600 yen tax included. Birthday cakes are always better as a whole, no matter how old you are. I'll take a 1/4 slice. It has a rich sweetness from acacia honey, moist and gooey. The lightly bitter flavor on the baked surface adds a touch of sophistication to this high-quality adult cheesecake. I could eat this every week.
