After discovering the fun of food stalls, I started going to Hakata occasionally to have a drink. Without a single unpleasant face, my wife accompanies me to have a tea time at the Afternoon Tea on the 6th floor of AMU City as a penance (laughs). This time of year, the special strawberry menu seems to be popular. The illuminated trees lining the streets. It would have been even more beautiful if it were a little darker... Finally, the destination of the day, the food stall "Kawa-chan" in Tenjin. Master Kawa-chan is a former police officer. He also appears in my wife's e-book "Mom Detective Ritsuko's Case Files 2" (laughs). To celebrate the release of the new book in which Kawa-chan plays a role, we first toasted with beer and cassis orange. We ordered several skewers such as pork belly wrapped in shiso, tomato wrapped in bacon, gizzard, and tsukune with a good texture. Whenever I come here, I always order the mentaiko (spicy cod roe) omelet. It is a dish with excellent taste and appearance, a speciality that the master is particular about. With meat, fish... the variety of dishes here is unbelievable for a food stall. The amberjack collar grilled on the skewer was also beautifully grilled. The fluffy grated yam and okra teppanyaki with plenty of eggs. The soy sauce drizzled along the edge of the iron plate is fragrant and nice. Teppanyaki of pork belly and bean sprouts. Kimchi is a nice accent. The small food stall is always full of regular customers. Among those who joined us on this day, there were also people I had met here before, so we had a lively conversation on various topics. Whether you know each other or not, the everyday life of each person is connected through Kawa-chan as a common point, and conversations naturally flow, which I think is the fun of food stalls. Unfortunately, this day was a day trip, so we reluctantly left Kawa-chan after 10 o'clock (^-^)ゞ As it was going to be late at night, I had already gotten a Hakata souvenir that my wife, who loves sweets, cannot do without. This time, I chose the roll cake from Ron Poan, not the salted caramel from last time, but the espresso limited to Hakata. Full of fragrant walnuts. It has a powerful profile with a rough texture (^-^)ゞ Thanks to the warm weather continuing from the latter half of last week, this weekend is a perfect day for cherry blossom viewing. Many people must be looking forward to it. As we head towards early summer, it will be a pleasant season.
