Since childhood, I have always admired the department store Hankyu Umeda Main Store. I purchased my favorite sweets there. Another admired sweet treat from Kamakura, Kurumi-ko. The size is very satisfying. It is sweet and fragrant, and tastes delicious when paired with coffee!

I tried the Kurumikkon stick pie. I didn't know they had a store at Hankyu Department Store. Each pie comes with a caramel sauce. The pie has a crispy and crunchy texture. The caramel has a mild sweetness and an adult taste. I think I prefer Kurumikkon. I will go to Hankyu Department Store Umeda next time to buy Kurumikkon.

I love Kurumikko, but at the Osaka Hankyu Umeda store, they only sell gift-wrapped cans or boxes, not individual pieces. I bought some around 4 pm on a weekday, but when I passed by at 5 pm, they were sold out. The nutty texture of the walnuts and the sticky sweetness of the honey are satisfying, despite their small size.

My mom bought it for me so I can't really complain too much. I think it's delicious. But I feel like the quality doesn't match the price. I wonder if this would be successful in Osaka? This is just my personal opinion.

It was my first time trying it, but it seems to be a popular souvenir among my family members. I usually don't like caramel snacks because they tend to stick to my teeth, but this Kurumikko didn't have that issue at all. The buttery cookie with caramel didn't crumble or stick to my teeth, leaving only the delicious walnut flavor in my mouth. Since I used to be a fan of butter cookies, I really enjoyed it. On this day, I headed to Hankyu Umeda Main Store after learning that Kamakura Koutani, a sweets shop that mainly sells Kamakura specialty sweets called "Kurumikko," had opened its first directly managed store in Kansai. The store is located on the basement 1st floor of Hankyu Department Store, and they were selling Kurumikko in sets of 2/5/8/10 pieces. However, they had already sold out of everything except the 10-piece set, so I ended up buying "Ajisai" (3 pieces for 454 yen), a type of rusk, from the display that also included "Kamakura Dayori," a boxed sablé. The product description stated that it is a rusk made by soaking pound cake dough in condensed milk and baking it, resulting in a slightly firm and crispy texture similar to a cookie rather than the airy crispness of typical rusks. It had a satisfying size of about 7.5 cm with accents of sliced almonds and a moderate sweetness from milk. While it didn't quite meet the satisfaction level of Kurumikko, I found Ajisai to be good for a first try. Since this is their first directly managed store in Kansai, they also sell other items such as pound cakes with Kurumikko in caramel sauce, eco bags, and Christmas products. Being located on the basement 1st floor of Hankyu, it is easy to drop by, and the staff members were all friendly and welcoming, making it a pleasant shopping experience for everyone.

Walnut and pie 8 pieces for 1836 yen. Stick pie reconstructed with walnuts. The crispy pie with plenty of walnuts is delicious on its own. The rich caramel sauce is individually packaged for each piece. The amount is just right. There is less caramel compared to Walnut, but it is delicious as a pie.

I received a souvenir. I had already received a good deal on the cut-off pieces, so the small individually wrapped high-end sweets are beautiful. They make great gifts and are cute, but for personal consumption, the cut-off pieces are definitely more cost-effective. They are so delicious that you need to be careful not to eat too much.

I met a walnut cookie at an event and have loved it ever since. I've always been curious about the "Petit Paquet" cookie tin and finally bought it after seeing that it was being sold at Hankyu Umeda store. The Petit Paquet (¥2160) includes 7 cute cookies: Noah's Ark Chocolate, Macadamia, Small Kamakura News Matcha, Small Kamakura News Azuki, Squirrel Cookie, Edam Pie, and Maple Noah's Ark. The matcha and azuki flavored cookies, as well as the maple, chocolate, and squirrel cookies with honey flavor, all made me happy when I ate them.

I received this as a souvenir. It is a pie crust generously topped with nuts and served with a separate caramel sauce on the side. The pie crust has a light texture with a mild sweetness, and the caramel sauce is also not too sweet, with a sophisticated flavor. It was very delicious. It paired perfectly with black coffee. I love Kamakura Kotoya so much, and they have finally come to Kansai! While their walnut cookies are famous, my favorite is "Ajisai" - a unique baked snack that is crispy and delicious, with condensed milk soaked into it. While you can often find the walnut cookies at events or in big department stores, Ajisai is not always available, so I used to stock up on them. I'm so happy that I can now buy them anytime. Next time, I want to try their pound cake with walnuts in it.

The B1F of Hankyu Umeda Department Store, "Kamakura Beniya," had sold out of "Autumn Warmth," a combination of Marron Glace and walnut, by around 6pm. The "Walnut Kid INN" is a pound cake with whole walnuts, lemon-flavored crumble on top, and rice crackers as an accent. It has a crunchy texture and a moist cake with plenty of large walnuts, making it delicious. The coffee flavor is subtle. It can last for about 10 days, making it a good gift option.

I had it after a long time. Since it's summer, I had it chilled. The combination of buttery flavor, caramel, and packed walnuts is delicious. It's impossible not to like it. The cute packaging is also nice.

Bought some ajisai. A few years ago, I ordered kurumicco and bought this at the same time, and I was surprised by the first taste.
