Dim sum fair~♪ Let's go, let's go~ The Chinese area is crowded, so let's go for Japanese food instead✤ Soba noodles were okay, not great but not bad. The dipping sauce was slightly sweet and a bit spicy, pleasing to most people✤ Udon noodles were soft, with a white dashi broth that was delicious. The topping of ginger was a nice touch✤ Komatsuna and fried sesame salad was salty✤ Simmered hijiki had a strong flavor, with konjac, carrots, and beans. The hijiki was a bit bitter✤ Xiao long bao was good when eaten hot in one bite. There was a little filling inside✤ Sticky rice shumai was coated with sticky rice instead of regular dumpling skin✤ Tempura of chikuwa, lotus root, and pumpkin. The lotus root was crunchy, and the pumpkin was sweet and tasty✤ Nigiri sushi with tuna, salmon, and baby scallop. The conger eel was the most delicious✤ Ankake yakisoba had firm noodles that were separate from the sauce. You could also pour mapo tofu over it, which was soy sauce-based. The ingredients included ground meat, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, carrots, and cabbage✤ Shanghai yakisoba had a mix of ingredients that were hard to distinguish. Only cabbage, bean sprouts, and ground meat were recognizable. It seemed to be from the spaghetti corner✤ Katsuobushi tare and shimeji mushroom Japanese-style spaghetti. The bonito dashi was strong✤ Creamy tantan carbonara was really tantan but also carbonara (laughs)✤ Mashed potato gratin with edamame and corn as it is✤ Fluffy omelet with corn on top. The sauce on top of the corn was unnecessary and made it too heavy…( ´З`)=3 I became uncomfortable before reaching dessert… It was a mistake to go for Western food. Well, it's time to leave now. Was there really a point to the Chinese fair? (laughs)

I had been curious about Zabuffet for a while! I went on a Saturday afternoon prepared to wait in line. If you go before 12 o'clock, you can get in smoothly. However, once it gets full, there is a 90-minute limit until seats become available again around 12:30, so be aware! There were some people leaving around 12:00, but it's all luck. We ordered the light course and were completely satisfied with it!

I went here again! Lately, every time I go to Sapporo, I end up eating here. There are many other restaurants I'm interested in, but I always end up here! We started eating a little late, around 2 pm, which is usually a busy time even on weekdays, but this time there was no line and we were seated right away! However, the restaurant was almost full! I had the cheapest light course, which doesn't include sushi. Even so, it was satisfying! The salad was delicious! And the Chinese dishes are always tasty! The fried rice, Shanghai fried noodles, and dumplings are always delicious! This time, I tried the DIY miso ramen and it was so good! The pasta is also delicious, and after eating things like yakisoba, curry, and pizza, I quickly get full! It's a dilemma because all the heavy dishes are so tasty! I wonder how much of the roast pork or beef you can eat with the expensive course? I feel like I wouldn't be able to eat anything else if I had those! This time, they said there was no time limit, but I wonder if that's still the case? I saw some ladies nearby who seemed to have been there since about 3 hours ago, according to the plan written on a paper I caught a glimpse of! It's nice to have coffee, eat sweets, and chat here! Sapporo is great! I think I won't need to go back for a while after eating so much, but I'll probably want to go back again!

Today, I was invited by my younger brother to join a lunch party. The members were all around the same age. It turned out that one of the classmates of my former colleague from my previous workplace was also there. The event was a buffet-style premium course with all-you-can-drink option and unlimited time (within business hours). With discounts applied, it cost less than 4000 yen per person. The food selection was a mix of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, and the taste was decent. The roast beef was particularly good, as I went back for seconds. The soup dumplings were delicious as well. The sushi had thin slices of fish, but overall, the meal was enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, with lively conversations flowing for over 3 hours. I had a lot of fun and would definitely want to join such gatherings again. Despite the engaging conversations, I naturally ate less than usual, and I was able to return home safely after the event.

The simmered bamboo shoots and bonito flakes were tender and slightly sweet, which was good. The hijiki and u-no-hana fried rice was delicious. The Shanghai-style yakisoba wasn't too salty, and I would definitely order it again. The roast beef and pork dishes were both tender and worth ordering again. The combination of garlic soy sauce and mountain wasabi was good. I tried the premium course this time for 3880 yen, but I didn't feel like the extra 1000 yen value compared to the standard course. Next time, I'll go for the standard course. It's recommended to make a reservation if you plan to go early.

Today, I made a reservation at Daimaru's The Buffet. I chose the premium course with unlimited time and a wide variety of dishes because I wanted to relax! The course included xiaolongbao, dim sum, as well as cheese-filled hamburgers and pork tongue, so I was quite busy (。 >艸<). There was also a wide variety of drinks available. I was tempted by the all-you-can-drink alcohol option, but I had to resist as I was driving (「・ω・`). I hope to go back next time for the all-you-can-drink option. Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m.

We had a family celebration and made a reservation for two on a holiday night. When I called about two weeks ago, I was told that 7:00 pm was already full, so I made a reservation for the 5:00 pm slot. When we arrived around 4:30 pm, there was already a long line of about 20 people. Although we had a reservation, there was no special guidance, so we lined up in that queue for a while. However, when it was already 5:00 pm and we still hadn't received any guidance from the restaurant staff, we asked the staff at the entrance, who then directed us to another line near the entrance for those who had made reservations. We were seated at a table within a few minutes. This time, we opted for the all-you-can-drink soft drink option without alcohol, which cost around 3000 yen per person. We enjoyed an all-you-can-eat buffet of sushi, tempura, pasta, pizza, ramen, salad, and dessert. The time limit was 120 minutes. I wanted to eat sushi, so I lined up at the sushi corner, where there was a sign saying you could only have 5 pieces per person. Furthermore, although there were two sushi chefs, one of them took their time to make each piece, causing a long wait. The taste was average, but since you could eat a lot, I couldn't complain. I wish they would improve the system where you have to line up again to get soy sauce. The tempura before the sushi was crispy and delicious. I tried the pizza and pasta, but I ate so much that I don't remember the specific flavors, but I thought they were just delicious. The ramen was a self-serve style. There were many families dining, and I think everyone liked it because you could try a variety of dishes, the view was nice, and most importantly, it was reasonably priced. Thank you for the meal.

We were seated at a table with a view of the night scenery in front of Sapporo Station. The kids were delighted, which was nice. We ordered the standard course, which includes sushi. We also opted for the all-you-can-drink soft drinks. It had been over 10 years since we last visited. It was still bustling and crowded as ever, with a line outside. Fortunately, we had made a reservation so we didn't have to wait. The food seemed even more delicious than it was 10 years ago. The replenishments were quick, and the roast pork was particularly tasty. The quality and atmosphere were similar to a hotel buffet. The staff were friendly and efficient in clearing plates. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Second time at Daimaru buffet with my spouse. Even on a weekday, there was a line. It opens at 11 am, so arriving about 30 minutes early might be just right. Those who had reservations were let in first. We lined up before 11 am and got in. Opted for the cheapest course this time. Last time we chose a course with sushi, but didn't eat much of it, so this time we skipped it. It was enough without it! There was a Spanish fair this time with paella, but the pasta, Shanghai-style fried noodles, dumplings, fried rice were still the best. Also, the black curry with lots of meat and bibimbap with Yangnyeom chicken were delicious. The salad selection was good, and so were the desserts. The noodles and rice were so good that we were full quickly! The drinks were also tasty. The honey lemon-like water was delicious! The atmosphere was nice, and it was mostly women in the restaurant on a weekday, chatting and having a good time. After finishing eating, I thought I wouldn't need to go back for a while, but just like last time, I felt like going back once I got home... The expensive courses with roast beef and roast pork looked delicious when they were being cut at the spot! I had sushi last time, and it was delicious too! I might go back again someday! My plate presentation is messy and haphazard. Haha.

I arrived 10 minutes before the opening and there were already about 5 people lined up on a weekday. I entered the restaurant with an unlimited time course, determined to eat! I was looking forward to the Chinese menu items like dim sum and also tried some Spanish dishes. I had mapo tofu, spring rolls, fried dumplings, fried rice, xiaolongbao, steamed dumplings, shumai, chirashi sushi, tempura, miso soup with bamboo shoots and clams, paella, cod dish, sweet potato sticks, fried something, corn potage, and crab cream croquette. I was full after about 1 hour and 30 minutes (laughs). I couldn't even make it to desserts because I had already eaten so much and still wanted to try more... But I couldn't eat anymore. The taste was so-so, not particularly delicious.

Located inside Daimaru, the restaurant seemed quite popular as there was a line. We opted for the standard course without any additional options. The variety of dishes was satisfying and we were able to enjoy plenty of food. They offered a mix of Chinese, Italian, and Japanese cuisine, but we couldn't try everything. The dessert selection was decent as well, which was nice.

I went to this restaurant last year as a reminder. I have been here several times before, but this was my first visit after the pandemic. Surprisingly, you can make a reservation until the day before, even though there is usually a line of customers. The prices have gone up, but I wanted to relax, so I chose the premium course with no time limit. The premium course had a delicious crab cream croquette, roast beef, and pork. They also had a Taiwan fair going on, so there was lu rou fan available. There were also xiaolongbao, sushi, and tempura. The drinks selection was great, and since it was unlimited, I could leisurely enjoy my meal. I took a short break and ate some more, but by 5 o'clock, I was too full to try the premium perks like tonkatsu and cheese hamburg steak. Buffets are great for when you want to relax and chat, or when you're dining with people who have different preferences.

☆LP☆A while back, KG and I visited this buffet restaurant located in the Daimaru shopping mall. There are multiple all-you-can-eat plans available, with options like dim sum and pancakes depending on the plan you choose. We opted for the plan that allows you to try almost everything. As it is a buffet, you can take as much food as you want and eat within a limited time frame. The variety of food is extensive, ranging from sushi to ramen to pizza to Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. However, there are a lot of carb-heavy options, so you need to be mindful of what you eat to avoid getting full too quickly. Our plan also included all-you-can-eat xiaolongbao and roast beef, which required a separate order ticket to be given to the chef. The xiaolongbao takes some time to steam, so you can wander around or eat other items while waiting for the buzzer to go off. There is also a drink all-you-can option, but the selection of snacks is limited. Overall, I wish there were more non-carb and Japanese food options. It seems like the strategy here is to fill up on carbs quickly. I recommend going on an empty stomach and resisting the temptation of carbs at the beginning. Apologies for the lack of photos.

We must have developed a refined palate... My daughter and I were excited to try different foods together, so we chose the third option from the top, which cost 2800 yen per person. We enjoyed sampling a variety of dishes and had a great time. The only disappointment was that there were no cornflakes at the soft serve ice cream corner. I wonder if they were always missing or if I just forgot about them. Thank you for the meal!

I've been obsessed with buffet lunches lately. I always line up before the opening, so I make a reservation and enter as soon as it opens. The menu is extensive, and with my indecisive nature, I find myself struggling to choose. It's far from conquering all the menu items, and I feel my stamina waning. But it was incredibly delicious and enjoyable! I definitely want to go back again!

On this day off, I first had a light drink at the beer garden in Odori, then headed to THE BUFFET (last time I went alone for lunch with a drink). There were a lot of people waiting, but I had made a reservation in advance so we were able to enter smoothly. We chose the standard course, with my wife, her friend's daughter adding the drink bar. I opted for the all-you-can-drink alcohol. First, I had draft beer, fried rice, rolled omelette, shumai, green beans with corn tempura, roast beef & pork. For my second round, I had sushi with tuna, salmon, and natto (the sushi rice was small and not heavy, and they make it after you order which is nice!). For my third round, I had margherita pizza, marinated octopus, gnocchi, cod spaghetti with peperoncino. For my fourth round, I had sushi with tuna mayo, corn mayo, cod roe mayo, sweet shrimp, squid, curry and ankake yakisoba. For my fifth round, I had corn and tofu omelette, chicken grill, shumai (2 types), shrimp and asparagus tomato cream pasta, miso & soy sauce ramen soup. Finished with a Dewar's highball. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed eating and drinking for 120 minutes!

I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while and we decided to have a meal at the BUFFET restaurant inside Daimaru department store. I had made a reservation in advance, which turned out to be a good decision as the restaurant was quite popular and there was a line. I found out that it was part of the Skylark Group, which also includes places like "Shabu Shabu Buffet Shabu Leaf," "Mushashinomori Coffee," and "Yumean." It was a weekend, so there were many families and young people enjoying cute desserts. We chose a set that included roast beef, sushi, and xiaolongbao, and there were also tempura and more sushi available. Although I couldn't eat much, the roast beef and pork were delicious so I ended up getting more. They also had Hokkaido specialties like miso ramen and soup curry, and there were various pasta dishes that were popular as well. The restaurant had a wide layout to accommodate families with small children and the staff, despite being busy, were polite and helpful. The biggest mistake was that this concept of restaurant was not very relaxing for our long-awaited reunion, but overall we enjoyed the food without taking many photos. They had a good selection of alcohol including sparkling wine, wine served in a tokkuri, and of course sake and beer. I didn't have a good experience at a similar concept restaurant in Tokyo before, but I would definitely visit this one again if I had the chance. Thank you for the meal!

Weekday lunch light course for 1700 yen. Sitting by the window with a nice view for lunch. The restaurant is managed by Niraku, a part of the Skylark Group. It feels like Skylark's all-you-can-eat style. It's a buffet, so the food is decent, like commercial or frozen food. Not recommended for those looking for delicious food. It's more about filling your stomach when you want to. The sushi at the buffet is not something to look forward to, so the light course is sufficient. I visited when they first opened and it felt better back then. Maybe it's just my imagination. But I love buffets, they are somehow exciting and fun (laughs).

It was a holiday and I arrived at the Daimaru THE BUFFET where I had made a reservation. This time, I opted for the weekday lunch special course with a 120-minute all-you-can-drink alcohol option for ¥500 (limited to the course). I started with a Sapporo Classic beer at the self-service alcohol corner. The menu included Margherita pizza, Potato & Corn Mayo Pizza, Shrimp in Tomato Cream Sauce, Cod Roe Spaghetti, and Taiwan Xiao Long Bao (limited to the course). The Xiao Long Bao was especially delicious with its overflowing broth. I then had a second beer and a Highball, followed by Roast Beef and Three-Element Pork Roast (limited to the course), which was so tasty that I wanted to have seconds. Other dishes included Fried Rice, Shanghai Yakisoba, Gyoza, Mapo Tofu, and Egg in Sweet Vinegar Sauce. For the third round of drinks, I had Seafood Baked Risotto, Karaage, Cheese Baked Hamburg, Yangnyeom Chicken, Edamame and Tofu Omelette, Chicken Grill, Meat Sauce and Nanohana Potato Gratin. I also enjoyed Clam and Bamboo Shoot Miso Soup, Miso Ramen Soup, and more. For sushi, I had Tsubu, Squid, Salmon, and Xiao Long Bao with soy sauce and black vinegar. I finished with a soy sauce ramen soup. There were also Soba, Tempura, Salad, Curry, and Desserts on the menu.

I visited "The Buffet Daimaru Sapporo" on June 17th. It was my first visit this year. This buffet-style all-you-can-eat restaurant is quite popular in Sapporo. It is located on the 8th floor of Daimaru, directly connected to Sapporo Station. Due to the pandemic, I hadn't visited for a while, so it was my first visit in 2 years. I drove there and parked at the Sapporo Station North Exit underground parking lot, but I'm not sure if they have a partnership for parking. Today's visit was for dinner at 19:20 with 3 people. We chose the "Light Course" for 2380 yen and added the "Drink Bar" for 290 yen. There is also a "Standard Course" for 2880 yen which includes sushi, but we opted for the Light Course. They explained the COVID-19 measures, such as wearing disposable gloves and masks when getting food, and using a new cup at the drink bar each time. Since it was a Friday, they informed us of the 120-minute time limit for dining. I noticed that if we had entered after 8:00 PM, there was a 60-minute short course available for 1980 yen until the end of the month. The plates were all the same round shape, unlike before when they had square plates with slits. For the first dish, we had various items including Teriyaki Chicken, Grilled Cheese, Cheese Baked Hamburg, Yam Nyom Chicken, Sweet and Sour Egg, and Fried Rice. I was surprised by the softness of the Cheese Baked Hamburg. The Yam Nyom Chicken had just the right amount of spiciness. We also tried the Gapa Rice, a Thai dish, and found it to be pleasantly spicy. I was amused by the presence of Soba noodles in the buffet. The second dish featured Roast Beef, which was slightly thicker than I prefer. The third dish included a Japanese-style pasta, a Tomato Cream Pasta with Shrimp and Romanesco, and a Broccoli and Tomato Genovese Pizza. For the fourth dish, we had Fried White Fish, Thick Omelette, Kinpira Gobo, and another Cheese Baked Hamburg. The White Fish Fry had a nice crispy texture near the skin. The fifth dish was a selection of fruits, a small Cream Puff, Berry Roll Cake, Panna Cotta, and Strawberry. The dessert options were all delicious. Lastly, we had a salad assortment, which had fewer varieties than before. The Asian Sweet Chili dressing was a nice addition. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and the variety of dishes offered at the buffet.
