It's been a while since I visited Fukuoka, and this time I stayed here. The hotel was new and clean. The walls seemed thin as I could hear noises quite easily, but the highlight was the large communal bath. It may not be a hot spring, but soaking in the tub was still nice. Breakfast was okay, as most hotels nowadays focus on making it delicious. I was happy about the unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe) option. I got excited thinking there was motsunabe (offal hot pot) available, but it turned out to be tori nabe (chicken hot pot), which was a bit disappointing. Although Hakata ramen was on offer, I decided to pass on it. It would have been nice if they offered some oysters to give it a more Hakata feel. I was surprised to see that all the other guests were much younger than me. Perhaps this hotel is popular among young people. For those visiting, I recommend using the closest exit to Nakasu Kawabata Station, which is the one closest to the riverbank. Coming from the Nakasu side, the distance is surprisingly far. The hotel is located right next to Reisen Park. When I think of Reisen Park, I remember the old days when there used to be a street food stall called Ebichan. It's a shame that street food stalls are now prohibited. It made me feel the passage of time.

A newly opened hotel in December last year. When it comes to Fukuoka's breakfast, mentaiko is a must-have, and they have it. They offer a buffet-style breakfast with a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, but I was surprised to see beef stew available. A wide variety of dishes to choose from. Friendly service. A hotel that makes you want to visit again.

During my stay in Fukuoka, I stayed at Vista Fukuoka Nakasu Kawabata. I had stayed there two years ago and remembered it as a fairly good new hotel, so I decided to visit again. This time, I used an ANA package. The room had high ceilings and was almost perfectly clean. The large public bath was easy to use. The breakfast buffet mainly featured Fukuoka dishes, including rice porridge and curry. You could customize your tonkotsu ramen by choosing your preferred noodle firmness. Toppings included wood ear mushrooms, char siu, pickled mustard greens, sesame seeds, and pickled ginger, with kimchi available in a separate area for additional toppings. Surprisingly, adding a little curry to the ramen created a delicious tonkotsu curry noodle dish. It was still comfortable and a very good business hotel. Thank you for your hospitality.

Hotel Vista in Fukuoka is a new hotel located near Ohori Park. It has a calm atmosphere and a large communal bath. The breakfast includes a variety of Fukuoka dishes such as ham cutlet, fried squid, sausages, scrambled eggs, smoked duck with red tea, chicken nanban, motsunabe, stir-fried offal, grilled yellowtail, tonkotsu ramen, homemade curry, and onsen tamago. You can enjoy dishes like Hakata ramen and motsunabe in the morning. I ended my meal with curry. The menu is so extensive that you might end up overeating. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Hakata truly lives up to its reputation. The affordable hotel breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, with a wide variety of delicious dishes that appeal to the common people. The ingredients are decently good quality!

"Morning in the midst of the Corona turmoil" Since October 2020, the situation with the new coronavirus infection has not subsided even after 1 year and 3 months. I wonder how long it will continue. The accommodation plan seems to reflect this situation with a plan for "vaccinated individuals with 2 doses/free breakfast" to enjoy a safe and secure adult trip. At check-in, you are required to present your "vaccination certificate," and if you cannot provide it, you will be charged 1,500 yen for breakfast. The breakfast is still buffet style with about 40 Japanese and Western dishes. There are also local dishes such as Mizutaki, Tonkotsu Ramen, and spicy mentaiko, which is nice! The rooms are compact but very clean. I recommend this hotel.

I personally haven't been eating at buffets due to my own reservations, but I appreciate the free breakfast.
