I decided to warm up an old friendship while on a rare business trip to Tokyo. I made a hotel reservation in advance through Jalan for this purpose. After spending a wonderful time with my friend from Asakusabashi to Ginza, we finally arrived at the hotel just before midnight. It was time to get some rest. The room was small, but the large bed and the traditional Japanese tatami flooring created a comfortable space. In the morning, when I opened the window, I was greeted by a clear blue sky. Wow, what a sunny day! I could even see the Tokyo Skytree in the distance. Alright, today I'll go see the Skytree! But first, I need to have breakfast! I headed down to the hotel's first floor, where breakfast was served from 7 to 9 am. When I arrived a little after 8 am, it was quite crowded, as it seemed to be peak time. Super Hotel is known for its satisfying breakfast offerings, and the staff's service was impressive. The price, including breakfast, at ¥8,000 was quite a bargain. The buffet-style breakfast had a wide selection to choose from. Rice or bread, that's the basic choice, but being a big eater, I couldn't decide between Japanese or Western. Croissant & butter, scrambled eggs & boiled eggs, bacon & sausage, mixed vegetables, salad, simmered hijiki seaweed, corn potage, yogurt, Calpis. I made quite an inconsistent selection. I sat at the counter seat, looking out the window, enjoying a leisurely breakfast. It made me wonder when was the last time I had breakfast... I usually only have two meals a day, lunch and dinner. Having breakfast is not a habit for me. It's strange, how being on a trip changes your usual habits. Overall, the food was delicious, with the scrambled eggs being particularly tasty. With a full stomach, it was time to head to the Skytree. Thank you for the meal.
