The road expansion project in the southern part of Tomita Station, which started several years ago, is finally reaching its final stages, and new shops are opening and relocating. I remember visiting this place about three years ago when it first opened. They sell local products such as sake from Jyuzo Brewery, as well as food, goods, and crafts. Since we used to buy beer from a liquor store nearby, we bought Kijoshu Gold this time. I hope that many people will visit this region's first local product hall.

I visited a shop called Sasaiya near Doer Tomita Minami store. It is located on the south side of Hankyu Tomita Station, where road expansion work is underway. It may be the only souvenir shop in Takatsuki, opened on May 3, 2017. They sell sake, Japanese and Western sweets, and crafts. I bought the following items: - Daiginjo Sake Kasutake Cake for 700 yen: Made with sake kasu from Kiyotsuru Sake Brewery in Tomita. The cake is moist and light with a hint of sake kasu aroma. - Tomita Sake Manju for 100 yen: Made with sake kasu from Kiyotsuru Sake Brewery. The filling is dense with a strong sake kasu flavor. - Kuninocho Tondasake Junmai Ginjo for 580 yen (300ml): Brewed by Jozo Sake Brewery. The sake is made using locally grown rice and water from the Abusan mountain range, known for its mineral-rich water. The brewery aims to continue the tradition of sake making in the Tomita region. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Sasaiya and the unique sake-related products they offer.
