On this day, I decided to have a light lunch with a few pieces of sushi. By the way, this store offers free miso soup until 5 pm, which is a nice touch. The lead-off hitter was the salted tuna, delicious. The second batter was whale skin, also tasty. The mid-level player was the crab miso ship, incredibly delicious. It disappeared before I could take a picture. The head chef was the grilled salmon, a mistake. I thought it would be salmon with a seared topping in eel sauce, but it turned out to be fully grilled salmon, which felt a bit off as sushi. So, I poured powdered tea into the leftover miso soup and made salmon tea rice, which was definitely better. Next time, I'll add wasabi for a different twist. However, with the recent price increases at major conveyor belt sushi chains, the fact that Edo Sushi charges only 143 yen per plate including tax, compared to Sushiro's 150 yen per plate, makes it a better value. The only downside is the limited variety of sushi toppings. If they offered more options, I believe they would thrive even more.

There is a shop in the Hankyu Higashi-dori shopping street. "Genroku Sushi" is known as the originator of conveyor belt sushi and represents Osaka's conveyor belt sushi. We tried some Osaka specialties at this shop. Each plate costs 143 yen including tax, and you order directly from the staff. We enjoyed delicious sushi such as battera, thick rolled sushi, negi-shio maguro belly, whale bacon, and water eggplant nigiri (from Senshu). The Showa-era atmosphere of the shop added to the experience, making it a memorable meal. The battera, negi-shio maguro belly, whale bacon, and water eggplant nigiri were so tasty that we couldn't help but order more. Thank you for the meal!

I love revolving sushi. It costs 143 yen per plate, which seems to have increased slightly from before. The squid and shellfish were delicious. I went around 6:00 pm on Sunday and was able to get in smoothly. All the sushi was covered with plastic for infection prevention. You can enjoy it safely and deliciously. It was also good that I could pay with QR code.

The origin of conveyor belt sushi, Genroku Sushi, created the concept of conveyor belt sushi, which led to the existence of current conveyor belt sushi restaurants. With respect and meaning in mind, I quickly decided to eat before catching the bus... (I didn't have much time to spare in the first place because I found out that Sauna New Japan had reopened Ausguss for a limited time, so I went to try it out. After enjoying four sets of Ausguss (with a heat wave master's Ausguss every hour), I felt so refreshed that I lost track of time and realized it was already 5:10 PM! The bus was scheduled to depart at 6:30 PM, so I hurried to wash up and check out. By the time I was done, it was already 5:40 PM. I ended up at Genroku Sushi, located diagonally across from New Japan). It's not good for my dehydrated body to absorb beer so quickly, but it's so delicious! Sorry, my body is like a desert. I'll stop at 8 plates because I have plans for a meal later. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The sushi plates are flowing with various toppings passing by in front of you. I finally visited this revolving sushi restaurant that I've been wanting to go to since last month. I hesitantly opened the sliding door and found that there were not many people, probably because it was still early. I was a bit worried about the situation with COVID-19, but they had lids on the plates, acrylic dividers at the counter, and hand sanitizer for infection control, so I felt relieved. The freshness of the sushi toppings is maintained by the lids on the plates, so it should be fine even after some time. The rice doesn't overpower the toppings, allowing you to fully enjoy the flavors. This time, I had whale bacon, salmon, tamago (egg), tekka maki (tuna roll), white grilled eel, and yellowtail. It came with miso soup with fish scraps.

I got used to the taste! Since graduating from high school and starting to work, I often went to Genroku Sushi in Sakai East, Sennichimae, and Dotonbori. It wasn't as popular back then as it is now, but it became popular without me realizing it. Nowadays, they use sushi robots at the stores, but in the past, the sushi was always made by skilled chefs. Wasabi used to flow on the conveyor belt, but now it comes in individual packets, I preferred the powdered wasabi from before. I hope they go back to using powdered wasabi. One thing I always order is battera! The mackerel sushi and box sushi are becoming more common in conveyor belt sushi, but this battera is becoming less common. It has kelp on top and the texture of the rice as a box sushi is indescribably delicious. It's a menu item that is definitely not found in modern conveyor belt sushi, but as long as they have it, I will keep going to Genroku Sushi. Seriously delicious! Thank you to the chefs! I recommend going during lunchtime when they serve complimentary red miso soup!

A few minutes walk from Higashi Umeda Station. I stopped by here today. The interior of the restaurant has only counter seats, but there is plenty of space. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but you can also order directly and have the sushi made right away. I placed my order and then tried the sushi! The size of the fish and rice is small, bite-sized. The texture of the rice is good, but the fish is similar to what you would find at a 100 yen sushi chain. Well, at 125 yen per plate plus tax, it's cheap so there's no problem. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! The fact that they make the sushi right after you order makes the dining experience very smooth.

In the East Street, there is a long-established sushi restaurant called Genroku Sushi. The price is slightly higher at 125 yen compared to the more common conveyor belt sushi places. It is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but if you ask, the chef will make sushi for you right there (lol). I was lured by the promotion of increased amount, but the sushi looked a bit sad with the rice vinegar visible. I tried the salmon roe, which had a good creamy texture. The snow crab was recommended this month, but it was quite watery, almost like it came from a canned crab. The surf clam had a nice chewy texture and was fresh. The grilled eel was okay, but I think the regular eel kabayaki would have been better (lol). The vinegar was a bit strong. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant again, this time for a light dinner and drinks. I arrived around 5:50 pm on a holiday, and the restaurant was about half full. It was hot, so I immediately ordered a bottle of beer. I ordered the following items: - Bottle of beer 510 yen - Fresh octopus 125 yen - Sardine 125 yen - Fresh shrimp 125 yen - Fresh mackerel 125 yen - Marinated mackerel 125 yen First, I tried the sardines, which were delicious and fatty. It reminded me of the quality at Edo-style sushi restaurants. I also love mackerel sushi, so when I saw marinated mackerel passing by on the conveyor belt, I couldn't resist. However, when it arrived, I found it to be smaller than expected. It was still tasty, but I regretted not choosing one from the belt. I learned that for marinated mackerel, I don't need to insist on having it freshly made. I quickly finished my meal and paid the bill. I'll definitely come back for another sushi and drinks night. Wandering around Umeda in search of lunch, I was in the mood for sushi so I decided to try this new restaurant. The sign outside said "One plate for 125 yen excluding tax," which was quite appealing. I visited around 11:10 am on a holiday. There were already 3 customers inside. I ordered a "Super Dry beer bottle for 510 yen excluding tax" and sipped on it while watching the sushi plates go by on the conveyor belt. Since it was just after opening, everything looked fresh. After some deliberation, I picked the following sushi plates: sardine, horse mackerel, red shrimp, flounder, whale skin, tuna, and raw tuna. The raw tuna was a single piece but at 135 yen, it was a good deal. I tried the whale skin as it seemed unique to this place. It had a nice chewy texture with a slightly distinct smell, which might be hit or miss for some. The most delicious one for me was the sardine. It was so soft and fatty, absolutely irresistible. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of it as it was the first one I ate. Oh well, I guess I'll have to order another plate. Starting with sardine and ending with sardine, my sushi adventure came to a close. By the time I left, the restaurant was almost full. It's definitely popular, probably due to the power of 125 yen sushi plates right in the heart of Umeda. If I ever crave sushi again, I might just pop in for another visit. Thank you for the meal.

[Ramenya Uroko] Ate lunch here today and it was delicious! I had the miso ramen with extra chashu and it was so flavorful. The broth was rich and the noodles were cooked perfectly. At 7 PM, just a 5-minute walk from Osaka Umeda to Hankyu Higashi-dori, this place is perfect for grabbing 1-2 pieces when you're feeling a little hungry. "Original revolving Genroku Sushi Umeda" is bustling with customers today. Managed to snag a seat and ordered the "Salmon Gunkan" and "Chawanmushi." Just these two items were enough to satisfy me. Make sure to eat the gunkan while the seaweed is still crispy. And the piping hot chawanmushi was a delight. I'll definitely be back for a quick bite when I'm feeling peckish again.

I visited the original Genroku Sushi in Osaka for a quick lunch during my business trip. I didn't have much time, so I decided to eat there hastily. I had previously visited Genroku Sushi at Haneda Airport and was not impressed, so my expectations were low. However, the sushi at the Osaka location turned out to be surprisingly fresh and delicious. The pricing system was different from the Haneda Airport branch, with each plate costing 125 yen plus tax. I ended up enjoying six plates for a total of 810 yen, which was a pleasant surprise.

I'm sorry, I don't have a photo, but I visited the restaurant. Unlike the usual conveyor belt sushi restaurants, there were a lot of sushi plates rotating on the lane! This is how a conveyor belt sushi restaurant should be. I was surprised to find this in Osaka! It's much better than the regular chain conveyor belt sushi restaurants. It may not be suitable for children because wasabi is always included! But for adults, it doesn't matter! It's a great restaurant! I want to go again!
