I was planning to have a light meal, but somehow ended up dining here (laughs). Of course, I sat at the counter facing the chef! I ordered the kushikatsu set for 850 yen. It came with rice, miso soup, salad, pickles, and tsukemono. The salad was generous, and the miso soup was delicious, so I couldn't help but ask for seconds (laughs). The pickles were a bit too salty, but since I had extra rice (laughs), I didn't complain. The set included shrimp, quail, stuffed bell pepper, pork, pumpkin, konjac, and white fish – seven items in total. The freshly fried kushikatsu was so delicious! The chef and staff were very polite, making it a happy lunch experience. They asked if I wanted to sit at the counter or a table, and I chose the counter, which was the right choice! They fried each item in order, based on how I was eating – what a luxury! Shrimp, quail, stuffed bell pepper, pork, pumpkin... all were light, crispy, and tasty! The konjac had sweet miso, and the white fish had mayonnaise on top. There were sauces like tonkatsu sauce, ponzu, mustard, salt, and ketchup provided, and the ponzu sauce went well with the kushikatsu! Overall, it was a satisfying meal for women with rice, miso soup, simmered vegetables, and pickles. The only downside was that the rice was a bit mushy and not very tasty. It was disappointing... The chef explaining each item as they were fried added a touch of sophistication and made the experience enjoyable.
