I love this shop and the Sakai Higashi shop, and I often visit them. The service is smooth! The lady who is always there is very efficient, friendly, and provides great customer service along with delicious food. We had a lot of food with four people again. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Tennoji Station, the back alley on the south side of Abeno Harukas, is home to the renowned yakitori restaurant, Akiyoshi-san. This chain restaurant originated in Fukui and is known for its flavorful skewers, especially the Nukekei. Enjoying a set of 5 skewers while sipping on some sake is the best way to experience Akiyoshi-san. The warm teppanyaki counter offers a variety of deep-fried options like kushikatsu and quail egg tempura, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. During my visit in April 2023, I stumbled upon Akiyoshi-san while looking for a second bar to continue drinking after getting tipsy at a standing bar. It was my first time at Akiyoshi-san, and I started with a rock potato shochu for 435 yen. I nibbled on some cucumbers while waiting for my order, and soon the Shiro and Nukekei skewers arrived. The warm teppanyaki counter added to the cozy atmosphere of Akiyoshi-san. The Shiro skewer was enjoyed with a rich sauce, while the Nukekei had a delicious umami flavor. The heat was a bit strong, but it didn't matter as I savored the yakitori and drank my sake. Along with the Nukekei, I also tried the kushikatsu and quail egg tempura, enjoying them with a whiskey highball. And of course, I couldn't resist ordering a tulip skewer. I had a great time at Akiyoshi-san, savoring the Nukekei and enjoying some drinks. I have a feeling I'll be back here again soon. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Tennoji wandering: Third in spring 2023♪ I usually go to the Tennoji Station store on the north side, but this time I visited the store on the south side near Abeno for the first time♪ When I entered, it was already last order time, so I quickly placed my order♪ I got the Kyuuri, Shishito, and Jyunkai set instead of the highball♪ There were only a few options left, so this was what I ended up with♪ Well, as long as I get to eat Jyunkai, I'm happy♪ Each sauce had a bit of garlic in it♪ I may have gone a bit overboard with the Karashi sauce and used up a third of my energy... Originating in Fukui Prefecture, this popular yakitori chain restaurant, which was also featured prominently on the Kenmin Show, is known as Akiyoshi Himitu. When I visited Fukui Prefecture, I saw a long line forming in front of the restaurant. Everyone around me had been to Akiyoshi Himitu and gave high praise. I finally went there for the first time myself! According to Tabelog, the restaurant opens at 5:00 PM, but when I arrived at that time, there were already several groups of customers inside, so it seems the actual opening time is a bit earlier. We started with a toast! Highball for 400 yen (excluding tax) and a mixed skewer set (5 pieces) for 410 yen (excluding tax) and a pork skewer set (5 pieces) for 395 yen (excluding tax). The skewers at Akiyoshi are well-known for being sold in sets of 5. Each skewer is small and light in texture, so you can eat as many as you want without feeling overwhelmed. The chicken skewer had a chewy texture, while the pork skewer had a crispy texture. Both were delicious. The skewers are cooked directly on a hot plate, which also helps keep them warm. I tried them with both the sauce and mustard, and it added a nice kick. The cucumber, recommended by another reviewer, was surprisingly sweet and refreshing. After enjoying some tasty drinks, we finished our meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I have always wanted to eat yakitori, but in Osaka, when people say "let's stop by on the way home," it often means going to a kushikatsu place instead. I'm not looking for a high-end yakitori restaurant in Shinmachi, I want the kind of yakitori that mature adults enjoy. I've never been to places like Toriki or Daikichi. I'm not a fan of places where university students go and it's noisy. I was looking for a cool yakitori restaurant where adults gather after work. That's when I learned about the existence of "Yakitori Meimon Akiyoshi" during a visit to Fukui in the summer. This yakitori restaurant was established in Fukui Prefecture in 1959 and celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2019. It is now a nationwide chain known as the "number one authentic yakitori chain in Japan." They have 18 stores in Osaka as well. I really want to go there!!! With guidance from a loyal customer of Akiyoshi, known as "Akiyoshi Oniisan," I went to Akiyoshi for the first time with G Mask. We visited the Akiyoshi Abeno store. Wow, the spacious store was packed! There were a few people waiting. The customers were of all ages, coming after work. The staff greeted us with energy, and the delicious smell of yakitori filled the air. The store was clean, and there was no thick smoke. The stainless steel in front of us was polished brightly! I announced my Akiyoshi debut, and the staff responded cheerfully, "Congratulations on your Akiyoshi debut!" We toasted with draft beer, and I left the ordering to G Mask, who had experience. If we were unsure about something, we checked Red and Blue's reviews! Without looking at the menu! Cucumber, Jyunkai (chicken thigh), Mino (chicken meatball), Shiro (chicken white meat), Jyunkai, Potato Fry, Cabbage Mix. There are various sauces to choose from, like mustard, ponzu, miso, and Nanban garlic. The portions are small, so you can eat them in one bite and enjoy the juicy flavor. It's delicious! Especially the Jyunkai is so good! The more you chew, the more the flavor spreads. It's so tasty! The beer goes down smoothly! The cabbage toppings can be chosen, and following Red and Blue's guidance, we chose sauce and mayonnaise. They even complimented us, saying "You're cool!" Akiyoshi's biggest feature is that they serve 5 skewers in a set, but the deliciousness is not limited by this "5 skewer rule." I wish I had come earlier! I was impressed watching the cooking process in front of the grill that day. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back!!

This day was a long-awaited visit to Mr. Akiyoshi♪ Accompanied by Yuyu's assistant, who is planning Akiyoshi's debut (lol). The restaurant was bustling, with energetic staff that lifted our spirits. First, we started with a draft beer, cheers♪(*^^)o∀*∀o(^^*)♪ followed by the deadly "no-look" five skewers: cucumber, tongue, beef liver, tripe, and cabbage. Akiyoshi Maestro Akki-san recommends cabbage with sauce and mayo, so we went with that❤️ We dipped each skewer in its corresponding sauce or seasoning and savored it. As always, the tongue skewer was delicious. The tripe and liver matched perfectly with their sauces, making the beer go down smoothly (*´◒`*) After resetting our palates with cucumber and cabbage, we continued the loop of ordering more tongue skewers...and more. We had to cut it short as we had a reservation at another restaurant later (^◇^;) Surprisingly, we ordered potato fries towards the end. It seems that girls prefer fries over potato salad! The sight of the shiny grill with tongue skewers in front of it, and guys cheering for girls, was a memorable moment❤️♪ Overall, it was a unique and unforgettable dining experience. Today is a day off! I went to Tennoji with my wife and niece for our annual tradition of buying clothes as gifts. We strolled around Q's Mall and Mio. After finishing our shopping, we decided to have dinner. Since I am from the northern part of Osaka, I am not very familiar with the area south of Namba. My wife mentioned that there might not be raw chicken, but there is an old yakitori restaurant. So we headed to Akiyoshi Abeno store. When we entered, we were seated at the counter where we could see the grilling area, giving the place a lively atmosphere. We started with a glass of draft beer, which I was eager to drink as I was thirsty from the heat. Cheers with my wife! I almost finished half of it in one sip (laughs). Normally, I would order 1 or 2 skewers at a yakitori restaurant, but here they serve 5 skewers. We wanted to try different parts and have a variety, so we ordered 5 skewers for the two of us. It was quite a large portion, and we ended up with one skewer left. I can't remember what we ordered exactly, but the grilling heat was too strong, lacking juiciness. However, there were many regular customers, so maybe it's just not my cup of tea. I won't be coming back for a second visit, but I suppose those who like it, really like it. Thank you for the meal.

Fukui's specialty is also popular in Tennoji. Since Valentine's Day was approaching, an old colleague invited me to come and receive chocolates. I couldn't just take the chocolates and leave, so I ended up staying for a meal at a restaurant in Tennoji. It was a Monday, and many food establishments seemed to be closed, but I managed to find my way to Akikichi. They quickly cleared the table of the previous customers and I sat down. We toasted with beer and ordered a few skewers. Akikichi's specialty is serving small pieces of meat in sets of five. Each skewer may not be very filling, but being able to easily eat multiple skewers makes the meat and alcohol go down smoothly. The atmosphere was lively with other customers enjoying their drinks and skewers. It was a satisfying meal.

As a reminder... After finishing my errands in the Tennoji area, I felt like having some "Akiyoshi" for the first time in a while, so I decided to stop by. It was just before 6:00 PM and the last table was quite crowded. I ordered the following dishes: - Junkei (¥385) - Shinzo (pork) (¥375) - Tan (beef) (¥410) - Wakadori (¥380) - Negima (¥395) - Sunagimo (chicken) (¥380) - Wakahada (¥380) - Pitoro (pork) (¥400) - Tsukune (2 pieces) (¥290) - Kushikatsu (beef) (¥380) - Yakitori donburi (¥500) Ah, Akiyoshi, the soul food of Fukui prefecture. With a touch of nostalgia, I was pleasantly satisfied.

I went to a yakitori restaurant where you order 5 skewers at a time, and it was delicious. They also served my favorite cucumber, which was a pleasant surprise. The yakitori was tasty and satisfying, although I was a bit sad that they didn't have my favorite bonjiri skewer. I ate a lot and enjoyed the meal. Thank you!

Nearly 10 years ago, I used to frequent restaurants in Shinsaibashi and Namba with colleagues. It had been a while since my last visit, but this time we decided to try a new place in Akiyoshi. We quickly ordered the "Shiro, Aka, Negima" trio along with some cucumber. Of course, we also ordered some draft beer, which came in large bottles here. One of the unique features of this place is that even though it's a yakitori restaurant, you can enjoy the skewers with a sauce similar to yakiniku. The sauce is sweet and delicious, and I like to sprinkle some shichimi togarashi on it for a contrasting kick. When the Aka and Shiro Negima were finished, we ordered them again with some Kyuri. I also decided to try the "Shinzo" for a change in flavor. It was a great addition to the meal! The draft beer glasses were a bit small, so we quickly switched to bottled beer. The small glasses really enhanced the experience of drinking bottled beer. Overall, it was a nostalgic and enjoyable dining experience. I would give this place 71 points for its nostalgic value.

Akikichi is delicious, even when compared to upscale yakitori restaurants that charge double the price. It makes me think that this is what real yakitori should be like. The pure chicken is excellent, with the rich flavor of the chicken concentrated in each bite. I also like the slightly chewy texture of the white meat. The moderate gaminess of the motsu (offal) is appealing. Although the liver is sometimes overcooked, I always order it because it's a favorite. In the past, it used to be served medium-rare. The kushikatsu skewers are small, but the combination with the katsu sauce is perfect, making it a ritual to order them first. The gizzard has a good texture and a slightly bloody taste, which I enjoy. With a large bottle of beer and a bottle of cold sake, the total cost for one person is just a little over 2000 yen. Not bad at all.

The timing seemed to be a factor as it was quite empty. However, it filled up by the time we left. The service was good and the food was delicious. It's not like this at Akiyoshi in Namba.
