There is a Chinese restaurant near Tempozan called "Chuuka" that used to offer lunch in bento boxes, but they have stopped serving them. Now they offer a Cha-han (fried rice) and Gyoza set for 800 yen, which is reasonably priced. The restaurant is busy during lunchtime, with a lot of people lining up. The fried rice is fluffy and the taste is simple. The gyoza is average, but it tastes delicious when freshly cooked. Overall, it's not the type of place I would go back to repeatedly.

Lunch at Osaka Port. I randomly stopped by a Chinese restaurant. There was no line, but it was full. It seemed to be a family-run business, with one person in the hall and two in the kitchen, very busy. I ordered the ramen fried rice set. It was served in about 10 minutes, probably because it was crowded. The ramen was refreshing and the fried rice was simple and traditional. I might get hooked on this. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On September 27, 2022 (Tuesday) around 12:50 pm, I visited a town for work and decided to explore some Chinese restaurants while I was there. It was hot even though it was almost October. I found a place that served cold noodles and fried rice as a side dish. The cold noodles were packed with ingredients and had a good cost performance. The soup was refreshing and the mustard amount was just right. The fried rice was also delicious, especially with extra pickled ginger. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I arrived at Osaka Port station for a meeting. Looking towards the Osaka Aquarium, I saw a huge ship docked, resembling a massive building. After the meeting, I decided to take a closer look at the ship and headed towards the aquarium. Later, I found out that the ship was called "SPECTRUM OF THE SEA," a luxury cruise ship. Along the way, I stopped by a restaurant called "Taiken" for lunch. Despite the name suggesting Thai cuisine, it was actually a Chinese restaurant. I was intrigued by the "Abara Ramen Set" on the lunch menu, so I ordered that. The Abara Ramen was a soy-based flavorful ramen topped with a large piece of pork belly, giving it a substantial volume. The tender pork belly was full of savory flavor, making it a delightful dish. The set also came with fried rice, which was just the right size and had a nice fluffy texture. It's a charming Chinese restaurant in the downtown area.

It's an old family-run restaurant. The dumplings, stir-fried vegetables, and scrambled eggs are all delicious. The flavors are surprisingly light and go well with alcohol.

This is a Chinese restaurant located slightly west of Chikko, Osaka Port, and Osaka Port Subway Station in Minato-ku, Osaka. A little north is Tempozan Market Place. I happened to have work nearby, so I visited for the first time in a few years. They serve delicious Chinese food, so I used to visit occasionally. I ordered the lunch special, a Chinese bento box for 650 yen, which included meatballs and shrimp tempura. The bento box included meatballs, shrimp tempura, salad, and rice. It also came with Chinese soup, and they gave me a generous portion of rice. The meatballs were delicious with a sweet and sour Chinese-style sauce, and the shrimp tempura was outstanding. The Chinese soup was traditional and tasty. All of this for 650 yen is such a great deal! I was very satisfied with my lunch.

"Compared to the ocean view at Omurice Oshion, 'Taiken' is closer to the Kaiyukan. It really feels like a local Chinese restaurant! The menu is pretty standard, in a good way. You can't go wrong with any dish you order. And they have wontons, which you don't see often these days even in ramen shops or Chinese restaurants. Wontons are really delicious! The chewy texture of the wontons makes you happy. After a satisfying meal, I'll go back to enjoy the ocean view again."

The food log check is strict, my partner found another restaurant. Did you know about this place? I've been there before, but it was a long time ago and I don't remember the taste. The reviews are very good. It's nearby, so let's try it for lunch. My partner and I went for lunch with another friend. At first glance, it seemed like a place where women might feel uncomfortable. Once inside, it was true that there were no women there. Maybe it was because it was lunchtime or maybe it's always like that. Putting that aside, when we entered, there were just a few people and no food on the tables. Uh-oh, it might take a while, I thought. My partner had the dumpling set meal, our friend had the ramen set meal, and I had the bento box (sweet and sour pork and bean sprout stir-fry). We didn't have to wait long, just a few minutes. The food was delicious. I tried one of my partner's dumplings and they were really good. I want to try something else next time. We decided to come back for dinner. The back had comfortable sunken kotatsu seating. Thank you for the meal.
***Evening Part***
It's Friday! Garlic is allowed! So, we went to Tai Ken for dinner again! We ordered 3 servings of dumplings. One of the servings had slightly burnt bottoms, which was disappointing. The garlic stir-fried squid was delicious. The Chinese-style salad had a Japanese-style dressing with a hint of shiso flavor. The fried chicken was recommended. The shrimp mayo was also delicious. We also ordered an additional 2 servings of dumplings and a few beers. We ate a lot! The total bill for one person was only 2,600 yen. Cheap! We went with 3 people again this time, but it's better to go with more people. Definitely. Thank you for the meal.

I have been exploring Chinese restaurants around Osaka Port area, but ended up here. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but definitely worth it. The dumplings here are delicious! The skin is crispy, the inside is juicy, and they are also cheap. I only ordered one serving this time (because I had work the next day...), but I definitely want to eat more next time. The fried rice has a rich lard aroma, perfect saltiness, a nice texture, and is absolutely delicious. The fried chicken, although I ordered a small portion, was crispy and tasty. Overall, the quality is high. There were several groups having a party on the day I visited. Now, I'm thinking of pairing the dumplings with beer next time.

Lunchtime is popular among government officials in the harbor district. In the evenings, it's a go-to spot for company parties or even dining alone. Basically, it's the town's Chinese restaurant. The dumplings tend to sell out by evening. Everything on the menu is delicious. Perfect for a post-work drink during lunchtime. And of course, they offer a shochu keep service.
