After finishing work in Osaka, before returning to the Kanto region by Shinkansen, I decided to buy a bento box, so I walked a bit. I am norizo, who travels with my family every weekend in a light car camping car called "eK-Camp (ROTTUS (Lotus) RV sales)" in search of steam locomotives, large portions, and Michi no Eki. From the west exit rotary of Shin-Osaka Station, I walked through the elevated area near the 7th exit of the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and headed south on Shin-Midosuji for about 200 meters. From the intersection where Hotel Mystays is located, I walked west for 250 meters, then turned south at the intersection and walked 120 meters east at the second building on the north side of the intersection, I found "Mega Mori Mammoth Bento Nishinakajima Minamikata Store" on the first floor of the apartment. Please note that there is no parking lot and the front of the store is a one-way street, so be careful when visiting by car. I visited on a rainy weekday evening around 5:00 pm, and inside the store, young regular customers were waiting for their orders to be prepared. Although it is a bento shop specializing in takeout, there were about four round chairs for waiting, so I sat down for a moment and looked at the menu on the counter. I was interested in the "World Big Explosion Bento!!" series, but I decided to start with the standard series and level up. By the way, there is also a large poster-type menu in front of the store, so it is better to choose from there before entering the store to save time. The rice sizes are small 200g, regular 250g, large 350g, special 450g, mega 550g, and for lunch menu, some can be upgraded to large size, and others to mega size at the same price. For those who need more, you can add from giga 650g (tax included ¥60) to cosmos 1.5kg (tax included ¥550), so if you have the opportunity, please try ordering. Telephone reservations are also possible, so if you have a set time for pick-up, it is a good idea to call in advance. Also, during weekday lunchtime, you can enjoy seven popular menu items for a tax-included ¥540. Four of them can be upgraded to mega size (550g) at the same price, so if you want to try, targeting weekday lunch is also an option. This time, I ordered the "Mammoth Charge DX II Bento Menchi & Rice Mega Mori (tax included ¥910)" as I assumed I would eat it on the Shinkansen ride back. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the bento with an overflowing lid was brought to me. After receiving a free bag and chopsticks for self-service, I paid and headed to a place where I could eat the bento. Now, when I got on the Shinkansen on the way back, I immediately ate it. Luckily, it was dinner time, so many people were eating and drinking in the car, and there was no atmosphere of being concerned about the smell. When I opened the lid... it was definitely a bento that stood out in a different way. One reason is that it contained 550g of rice. There were large fried chicken pieces, chicken tempura, and a few meat cutlets, with thick yakisoba hidden underneath. I managed to finish it, but after eating, I fell asleep deeply until I got off the train. If I had eaten it during lunchtime, it might have affected my afternoon work. However, being able to eat a delicious bento with a generous portion at a reasonable price is a happiness that knows no bounds. There seems to be further discounts with a membership card, so if I have more business trips to Osaka in the future, I will consider becoming a member and vowed to revisit while looking at the menu flyer I received. □ Mega Mori Mammoth Bento Nishinakajima Minamikata Store TEL: 06-6195-2872 Osaka, Yodogawa-ku, Nishinakajima 6-6-2 Opening hours: 09:30-21:00 Regular holiday: Irregular holidays Parking: Nearby coin parking
