I bought a special fried chicken bento (salt flavor) with 1 pork cutlet and a portion of fried noodles for 1020 yen. I enjoyed a leisurely lunch at home with this bento. The fried chicken bento had plenty of rice (550g) and the pork cutlet and fried noodles added up to over 1000 yen. The fried chicken had a good flavor even though it was salt flavor, not as strong as soy sauce but still tasty. The sauce on the fried noodles had a strong garlic flavor, which might not suit everyone's taste (it used to be more normal). Overall, I enjoyed this combination. I went to "Megamori Manmosu Bento Nishinakajima Minamikata Store" and saw a post from a fellow foodie about their soupless oyaji (father) bento, so I couldn't resist visiting the restaurant. The store is affiliated with a ramen shop and offers a special bento with 1kg of rice and 50 pieces of fried chicken for 3000 yen. I opted for the special fried chicken bento for 690 yen, with options for different portion sizes. The food was delicious and I highly recommend it.

A few minutes' walk from Nishinakajima Minamigata Station. Today, I bought a bento box here. They specialize in bento boxes, with options like nori bento, karaage bento, and curry. I chose the special karaage bento, with a choice of salt, soy sauce, or curry flavor for the karaage. You can also choose the amount of rice without extra charge: small (200g), medium (250g), large (350g), extra large (450g), or mega (550g). I went with the large size. Now, onto the tasting! The karaage was freshly fried and came in large pieces, with six in total. The rice was a large portion, accompanied by a greasy, thick yakisoba-like dish. The karaage was juicy and delicious, but because of the quantity, it was a bit challenging to finish for me. It felt like I had overeaten with this bento after a long time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal! After receiving a free bag and chopsticks for self-service, I paid and headed to a place where I could eat the bento. Now, when I got on the Shinkansen on the way back, I immediately ate it. Luckily, it was dinner time, so many people were eating and drinking in the car, and there was no atmosphere of being concerned about the smell. When I opened the lid... it was definitely a bento that stood out in a different way. One reason is that it contained 550g of rice. There were large fried chicken pieces, chicken tempura, and a few meat cutlets, with thick yakisoba hidden underneath. Visited the restaurant again on February 10, 2022. Today, my friend from Osaka came to my accommodation, so we decided to drink together. We decided to use Mammoth for our meal. When we arrived around 8 pm, there were several customers waiting for their orders, including some Uber Eats delivery drivers. We ordered a total of 8 appetizers. They told us it would take about 20 minutes, so my friend went to the station nearby, and by the time they returned, our order was ready. The appetizers included shrimp fry, minced cutlet, 3 flavors of fried chicken, croquette, and white fish fry. The portions were quite generous, and the two of us finished them quickly. I thought it would also be a good option for a family to order as a side dish.

Visited again on January 16, 2022. I was looking for somewhere nearby to eat on Sunday night, but most places were closed. The ramen shop was open, but since I had already eaten lunch, I decided to visit Mammoth again for the second day in a row. I arrived at 5:00 PM, right when they opened for the evening. Today, I ordered the Chicken Thigh Donburi (large size). The dish was ready in about 5 minutes. I chose the Chicken Thigh Donburi that caught my eye the previous day. From the appearance, it looked quite indulgent with plenty of mayonnaise and sauce, giving it a customizable flavor. Inside, there were chicken, bean sprouts, and onions. It was a quite filling menu. I will definitely visit again.

Business meal series 108. I decided to have dinner and went to Mammoth Bento, a nearby bento shop near my accommodation. The shop is located in the middle of Shin-Osaka and Nishinakajima-Minamigata, on the 1st floor of a building with hotels and apartments, with a blue sign as a landmark. There are about three chairs inside for customers to sit and wait for their orders. I visited around 5:30 pm, there were no other customers, but there was an Uber Eats order. The shop was run by two friendly female staff members. Today, I ordered the Special Karaage Bento (large size). The food arrived in about 5 minutes. The menu was quite extensive, so I asked the staff for their recommendation and ended up with the Special Karaage Bento, opting for the large size as the price was the same, and requested no pickled plum. The bento box contained simple rice, karaage (fried chicken), and yakisoba underneath the karaage. There were 5 large pieces of karaage with separate seasoning of salt and soy sauce, which was a nice touch. The yakisoba had thick curly noodles, which I unexpectedly enjoyed. They also offered yakisoba as a standalone item, which I would like to try next time. Considering the cost, the staff's excellent service, and the quality of the food, I would definitely visit again.

After work, my husband picked me up and we went to "Mega Mori Mammoth Bento-san" with a junior colleague. This place is really amazing! You can get a mega serving of rice up to 500g for free. Everything looked delicious and I had a beef tongue bento. It was on the pricier side at ¥1,200, but I asked for 300g of rice. My husband got the Oita Toriten Bento with 500g of rice and a side of grilled hormone. Our colleague got the Maximum The Hole Bowl with 500g of rice. We ordered all of this and the total came to ¥3,120. The beef tongue was a bit overcooked and tough, but the seasoning was really tasty. The Oita Toriten was a hit! It looked like fried chicken at first, but when you taste it, it's surprisingly not too heavily seasoned, which was nice. We also got a point card, so we'll be back soon! I noticed that there are a lot of red peppers in it. When I divided the container into rice and side dishes, the visual impact was gone, but the quantity is still a lot. The regular portion of rice is quite generous too. However, when they separated the containers, the visual impact decreased a bit (laughs).
