I went to a restaurant in Nagaokakyo City that caught my attention♪ There were parking lots next to the entrance of the restaurant and across the street, so I could park easily☆ I purchased Warabi Mochi for 760 yen and Seichiku for 500 yen. The Warabi Mochi was chewy and delicious with a nice elasticity. The Seichiku was water yokan in a bamboo tube, with an elegant sweetness and delicious taste. I almost finished them all by myself. Thank you for the meal!

Arrived at 12 o'clock for takeout. Got the Kyoto kinako warabi mochi in a simple box. Chilled it in the fridge and had it for breakfast the next morning. The warabi mochi was chewy and soft, with a refined sweetness of wasanbon sugar standing out. It seems to last about a week, so it's good for souvenirs too.

This is a Japanese confectionery shop located in the outskirts of Nagaoka Tenjin. I was originally here for the famous warabi mochi, but ended up purchasing the Kusamochi (kinako gurashi) from the showcase because it looked so delicious. The fragrance and flavor of the Kusamochi were excellent, with the sweet bean paste inside adding a nice accent. It was definitely a great choice (please note the expiration date was the same day). I also bought a dorayaki (with chunky sweet bean paste) for 260 yen. Upon tasting it, I could see the meticulous work put into both the filling and the pancake. It gives the impression that each confectionery item here is carefully crafted. I will definitely visit again.

It was our annual year-end party and we tried this❣️ It was so delicious〜 I'm sure you know what I mean ^_^ When you find something delicious, you want to share it with people who love good food, right? (#^.^#) And indeed, it was very delicious(((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ The chewy bracken mochi with a slightly larger triangular shape and dark-colored roasted soybean flour was so tastyーーーー Fragrant and the remaining soybean flour was delightful❣️ I licked it off my fingers as it wasn't too sweet, and I loved the taste. I thought one box might be too much for one person, but Tsunn〜Peron〜Muniyu〜 It melted in my mouth, bringing happiness❣️ It gave me a slightly erotic sensation. Thank you for the delicious bracken mochi❣️

The homemade bracken rice cake, which is made with real bracken flour, had just the right elasticity, smooth and pleasant texture, and was absolutely delicious. It feels like this is the real bracken rice cake. The soybean flour topping is also well balanced. Although the strawberry daifuku is popular, it's not available this season, so I tried the Mont Blanc daifuku instead. The daifuku is on the smaller side, but it has a whole chestnut inside, and both the daifuku and chestnut paste are delicious. Bracken rice cake (250g) for 730 yen, Mont Blanc daifuku for 330 yen, tax included.

I visited a traditional Japanese confectionery shop in Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture today. Located about a 20-minute walk from Naga-Tenjin Station on the Hankyu line, Mizuha seems to be popular for its Japanese sweets made by Kyoto confectionery artisans without using synthetic preservatives or additives. The shop had a variety of Japanese sweets on display. Their signature menu item is the "Kyoto Kinako Warabi Mochi," made with genuine bracken flour. The warabi mochi comes in three flavors: kinako, matcha, and brown sugar, with kinako being the most popular. I purchased the Kyoto Kinako Warabi Mochi to take home. It is made with the finest "Wasanbon sugar" and genuine bracken flour, creating a delightful texture. The box contained bite-sized pieces of warabi mochi, accompanied by Kyoto kinako. It has a lovely chewy and bouncy texture, with a pleasant aroma from the kinako. When you bite into it, the sweetness spreads in your mouth, and it tastes delicious. The finely ground kinako doesn't interfere with the mochi's texture and feels smooth on the tongue. It needs to be refrigerated and has a good shelf life. I thought it would make a great souvenir that anyone would appreciate.

I received it as a New Year's gift. It seems to be a Japanese confectionery shop located in Nagaokakyo City. It looks colorful and nice, right? I used to think that Japanese sweets were for old people, but maybe because I'm getting older, I feel like I enjoy them more now. By the way, it seems that warabi mochi is recommended.

I used to think that warabi mochi is mainly for women, and not many men like it. There may not be many people who dislike it either. I wasn't really a fan of it before, but I've gotten used to it recently and can eat it normally now. Still, I didn't really choose to eat it willingly. This time, I was able to try the warabi mochi at this shop, and it was the best I've had so far, with a rich sweetness and flavor of kinako. It's understandable why this place is becoming famous. Thank you for the meal.

Mizu is Mr. Kitagawa. When I was looking for delicious sweets in Nagaokakyo City, I heard that this famous shop is the first choice, so I went there. It seems that their warabi mochi is famous, but honestly, I have tried many famous warabi mochi before, so I didn't have high expectations. However, it was delicious. The mochi was not too soft, but had a nice chewy texture. I prefer this level of firmness. I bought plain and matcha flavors, and usually in these situations, the plain one is better, but the matcha flavor here was rich and tastier than the plain one. I brought it to a family gathering and it received high praise. Thank you for the meal.

I got a takeout of warabi mochi. I have purchased nama fu manju and strawberry daifuku occasionally before, but today I tried warabi mochi for the first time. The bite-sized warabi mochi dusted with kinako powder is cut slightly larger. It was delicious. Today's warabi mochi was dusted with kinako powder, but they also sell warabi mochi with matcha flavor. I definitely want to purchase and try it next time.

I bought souvenirs in Nagaokakyo City. I wanted to try warabi mochi or a chestnut dessert depending on the season. I heard that Mr. Kitagawa's warabi mochi is famous. There were 3 parking spaces adjacent to the store. There was a parking lot for another store nearby, so I mistakenly circled around it. Warabi mochi (250g for 640 yen) and chestnut pie (280 yen). The mochi was large, with a slightly firm surface but melted nicely in the mouth. The refined sweetness of wasanbon sugar was good. Kinako was in a separate bag, the amount was decent, and the flavor was good. It was delicious. The prices were reasonable for the portion, and I was satisfied!

I stopped by this restaurant because it looked delicious while driving. The small-sized bracken rice cakes were sold out probably due to the closing time being near. I bought a slightly larger bracken rice cake. It can last for about 3 days. I ate it after chilling it well. It was wobbly, chewy, and delicious. It was a bracken rice cake with a slight sweetness lingering. I also bought a specialty? sweet with bamboo shoots in it. I didn't really feel the bamboo shoots, but it was delicious with a mild sweetness. This is a good shop for both Japanese sweets and baked goods.

This is a famous Japanese confectionery shop near Nagaokakyo known for its warabi mochi. The shop has a nice appearance and even a parking lot. While their warabi mochi made with real warabi powder is famous, they also offer a variety of traditional Japanese sweets like manju and yokan. The warabi mochi comes in different flavors such as matcha, black sugar, lemon, and regular. I tried the warabi mochi made with matcha and regular Japanese sugar, as well as the Mizumanju. Both the warabi mochi and Mizumanju were soft and chewy, providing a satisfying texture unique to authentic kudzu. They have a pleasant aroma and a refreshing sweetness, making them easy to eat and leaving you wanting more. Although it may not be the easiest place to get to, the delicious treats make it a shop worth visiting for various sweets.

Warabi Mochi "Just warabi mochi." "Yet, warabi mochi." I was too full from lunch, so I had just two pieces of this warabi mochi for dinner. This warabi mochi was unlike any I've had before, with an amazing texture and flavor. The mochi part was delightfully gooey, unlike anything I've tasted before. It didn't immediately break apart but instead had a stretchy sensation that was irresistible. The kinako was finely ground and not overly sweet, blending perfectly with the mochi. It made me question, "What have I been eating as warabi mochi all this time?" The matcha-flavored warabi mochi at this shop is also popular, and I definitely want to try it next time. It reminded me of the time I had "hokke" in Osaka. When I had hokke at a cheap izakaya in Hokkaido, I thought, "What have I been eating as hokke all this time?" and I've never had hokke in Kansai since then. This warabi mochi from this shop gave me a similar feeling, making me wonder what I've been eating as warabi mochi until now. It was reasonably priced, so I consider it a "luxury warabi mochi," and I look forward to enjoying both "regular warabi mochi" and occasionally treating myself to "luxury warabi mochi." Oh, the hokke was not the same price; it was cheaper in Hokkaido, so the comparison is different in that sense. The parking lot only has space for three cars, so it's easier to park by backing in. Be especially careful when driving in and out of the parking lot, and enjoy your warabi mochi.

The large-sized warabimochi had a refined taste, with just the right amount of sweetness, making it endlessly enjoyable to eat. ^_^

The bracken rice cake is delicious. The fresh wheat gluten bun is also quite good. The seasonal dish in June is delicious. The oak leaf rice cake was not as good. Although reservations are required, you can get red and white steamed buns. This was well received as a gift.
