There is a Baskin Robbins in the Alta building inside Sunshine City. I used to work a short-term job at Sunshine City, and I found the layout inside the building quite confusing haha. I wonder why Baskin Robbins is in Alta, while the "Flower Miffy Juice Garden" is in Alpa (it's a bit confusing to have Alta and Alpa in the same building lol). Anyway, feeling tired from walking, I decided to get some ice cream. My husband didn't want any, so I ordered for myself and my child. There were seats available on the right side of the store, so I asked my child to sit there while I went to order. I ordered the "Cotton Candy Pastel" that my child wanted, and the unique hand-written flavor "Happy Butter Almond." I later found out that the hand-written flavor was a limited edition from the past. It was like a fancy donut from Mister Donut, rare and interesting (I'm a sucker for limited editions haha). I chose the cone over the cup since they were the same price, and Baskin Robbins' cones are crispy and delicious. It was a bit challenging to take photos because the ice cream was melting, but I enjoyed it. The "Cotton Candy Pastel" tasted just like cotton candy, with small pink chocolate puffs adding a nice touch. Surprisingly, I liked it even though I wouldn't have chosen it myself. The "Happy Butter Almond" had a nutty flavor with honey ribbon and crunchy praline almonds, inspired by Korean snacks. It was very sweet, almost too sweet for my taste, but it was an interesting flavor to try. Overall, it was a fun and refreshing break from the exhaustion of walking around Sunshine City.

Sunshine City Alpa has a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop♪ I stopped by when I visited Sunshine City. Due to the pandemic, there was no tasting while waiting in line, but there were so many flavors of ice cream to choose from, it was hard to decide! I chose the limited edition flavor "Rocky Road." It's almond, marshmallow, and chocolate ice cream (o^^o). There is seating available inside, but it was crowded, so I ate on a bench inside Alpa. It melted a bit on the way there σ(^_^;). It was sweet, cold, and delicious! The chewy texture of the marshmallow, which I had never experienced in ice cream before, was interesting. When ordering, there was a distance from the staff and thick acrylic boards, making it hard to hear, which was a bit difficult (not just for me, but for other customers as well). Due to the location, there were many families, and many people were buying take-home packs too♪

On the sunshine stroll course, a new Baskin Robbins opened during the pandemic, replacing the old Cold Stone location. The seating is limited for social distancing, with bear figures placed to help. My baby was scared of them, haha. We ordered a small single scoop for 310 yen, which was just the right size for my baby. Recently, my 4-year-old has been into matcha flavor. Even though I didn't get a bite, I assume it was delicious since my baby finished it all. I also bought a Caramel Ribbon in case someone didn't like matcha. It was quite sweet, maybe I should have chosen a more unique flavor. Overall, Baskin Robbins seems to be more familiar to everyone compared to Cold Stone. Good luck!

Opened in the underground of Altavilla Sunshine, replacing the ice cream shop where they used to sing and make ice cream for you. The new shop is bright and clean, with a sense of cleanliness. It's been a few years since I last visited a Baskin Robbins. There are various ice cream flavors displayed in front of the store, but it's unclear how to order. There seem to be different sizes available, but it's not written anywhere whether it's a cup or a cone. There is an electronic panel above the showcase, but the screen changes quickly and it's hard to understand. There were no other customers, and the bored staff made me feel uncomfortable, so I asked my companion to order for me. I got a Small Double Cup (tax included 580 yen) of Very Very Strawberry. It was rich and the texture of the fruit pulp and puree was good. My companion said the popping shower was fun, but I couldn't feel anything. It's been a while since I had it, and it was deliciously rich. I usually only have GariGari-kun and Choco Monaka Jumbo, so it was nice for a change. However, I noticed several other people struggling to understand how to order, just like me. It would be good if they could improve that.
