Limited time collaboration between MORINAGA and Beard Papa - Cream Puff Mini Sticks. Available until November 7th. The combination of the crispy texture of the mini sticks with chocolate and almonds, along with Beard Papa's delicious cream, was delightful. Beard Papa holds memories from my high school days when it opened near Tennoji Station, and I used to enjoy their treats frequently. After trying it again after a long time, it was still delicious. Highly recommended!

Beard Papa is doing their best. Their sneaky tactic of luring people in with a good smell, like an eel shop, is unfair but their cream puffs are quite good. It's a chain store, but it's not to be underestimated, a pretty good cream puff. It makes you happy to receive one. Today, I was feeling tired since morning and lacking energy, but I still have to work for another 2 and a half hours... In the evening, I craved something sweet and bought it. I didn't want convenience store sweets. I was planning to buy a regular classic cream puff, but when I went, I saw "Limited edition, only 2 days left! Blueberry cheesecake cream puff." I like blueberries. I like cream cheese. I like cheesecake. But how about cream puffs? (˙꒳˙)? Despite my doubts, I ended up buying it. The result was... hmm? The blueberry was refreshing, the cream was like sour cream, quite tangy and not very sweet. Quite refreshing. No, this cream is fine, but it doesn't quite match with this cream puff. The cream puff is not very sweet, crispy, with a strong presence and a bit hard. This cream is fine, but it doesn't quite match with it. I remember they used to have caramel chocolate cream puffs or milk tea cream puffs before, those "traditional sweet" ones would match better with the dough. This freshness would be better with a sweet pie wrapped in a cone, not with this. It feels mismatched and wasteful. ...I had a feeling before buying it, though. Yeah, the freshness lingered for me, someone who wanted something sweet (laughs)

Caramel chocolate choux, a limited edition cream puff for January!! Just from the name, it already sounds delicious, but when I tried it, it was really, really tasty!! I'm starting to crave it again... The choux pastry was crispy and the caramel was gooey.

This is a Beard Papa inside Namba Walk. A Minami Onee-san who I haven't seen in a while bought it for me. I'm grateful. In this shop, you buy tickets from a vending machine. It says self-register, but it's a ticket vending machine.
- Pie Choux Cream 170 yen (tax included): A standard choux cream. The crispy pie choux pastry is filled with a rich custard cream.
- Cookie Choux 190 yen: Crispy cookie dough is sprinkled on top of the crispy choux pastry of the Pie Choux Cream. The sweet and delicious cookie dough is tasty. The choux cream is always good to eat. The custard cream is smooth and has a pleasant sweetness. It's a delicious choux cream.

In Osaka, there is a well-known sweet treat from Beard Papa that everyone is familiar with. I tried one and it was delicious! I usually don't eat sweet snacks, but this had just the right amount of sweetness. I didn't know they had a chocolate-flavored Beard Papa, which pairs well with coffee. Thank you for the meal.

At the freshly made workshop of Beard Papa in Namba Walk, the seasonal limited edition set of 6 cream puffs with kinako (roasted soybean flour) flavor and dinosaur egg filling is a great souvenir. The cream puffs have a low chance of being sold out, making the Namba Walk store more convenient than the Shinsaibashi store along Midosuji Street.

It's a light and easy-to-eat cream puff. You can easily eat several of them. This is a collection of dining records taken while strolling around Kansai and beyond. These records have been sporadically uploaded since 2012 when I started keeping personal gourmet reports. Restaurants without ratings are recorded to the best of my memory, as my recollection may be vague. However, all the restaurants listed are places I, the writer, have actually visited. There is no conflict of interest with any of the restaurants.
Rating Criteria:
- Ratings are given in increments of 0.5 points, with an average score of 3 points.
- 1 point: A restaurant I never want to visit again
- 2 points: A restaurant I'd prefer to avoid if possible
- 3 points: A restaurant I'd like to visit a few times
- 4 points: A restaurant I'd like to visit many times
- 5 points: A restaurant that touched my soul

After finishing work and arriving at the station, I always end up buying something here. The bright yellow shop stands out and the layout is very informative for those involved in station business. The custard cream is the specialty and highly recommended. Once you get hooked on the rich custard here, you won't be able to go back to convenience store sweets. The perfect sweetness is the key. I look forward to seeing the cute shop assistant who looks like a little apricot when I visit (laughs).

There was a Beard Papa's here too! I couldn't resist and bought two "Chou à la Crème" with rich matcha cream. Each one costs 230 yen (including tax) as of May 2016. The outer shell is even crispier than the plain one, which is nice. And the rich matcha cream inside is so delicious! It's a must-try for matcha lovers with a sweet tooth. Thank you, Papa!

I received a Beard Papa freshly made cream puff as a gift. This is the first time I've written a review, even though I occasionally receive them as souvenirs. The "Pie Cream Puff" is Beard Papa's original cream puff. The custard cream made from carefully selected ingredients is soft and jiggly. The surface of the pastry is crispy, while the inside is moist. The sweet scent of vanilla beans is rich and enchanting. However, the taste is not too sweet, which is nice. Although I didn't try it this time, the "Cookie Cream Puff," which adds cookie dough to the classic cream puff, has a crispy pastry that is sweeter and has a fragrant aroma. I prefer this one because it tastes more like a dessert. The cream puff is just right as a gift. Thank you for the meal!

National shoe cream specialty store "Beard Papa's freshly made workshop" is expanding its stores nationwide. It seems that they are now expanding overseas as well. Although they are not often seen in Nara, they have become a popular souvenir in Osaka. My husband bought a assorted pack as a souvenir, so I will review it. The pack included 3 Pie Choux, 3 Cookie Choux, and 4 Paris Brest. Each of them has a unique and delicious texture, with details as follows:
[Pie Choux]
This is Beard Papa's classic shoe cream made with their original recipe. The price is ¥147 per piece (tax included). The shoe pastry is wrapped in pie crust, giving it a chewy texture. The cream inside is a flavorful custard cream made with carefully selected ingredients, mixed with whipped cream to create a marbled texture. The creamy and pudding-like cream is irresistible, with a rich aroma of vanilla beans.
[Cookie Choux]
The shoe pastry of Cookie Choux is made by placing whole wheat flour graham cracker dough on top of the Pie Choux dough, then baking it in the oven. It has a slightly crispy texture compared to Pie Choux, with a fragrant taste. The cream inside is the same as Pie Choux. The price is ¥170 per piece (tax included).
[Paris Brest]
Paris Brest has a ring-shaped, wavy surface. The surface is slightly crispy like Cookie Choux, while the inside is soft. The cream is filled inside the ring. It is probably the same cream as Pie Choux and Cookie Choux. The price is ¥160 per piece (tax included).
Each piece has a good portion size and price, making it a convenient souvenir for everyone from children to the elderly. The Namba Walk store is just a 2-minute walk from my workplace, so I will continue to rely on them in the future.
*Since I did not visit the store this time, I will only provide ratings for the food and cost performance.

I was invited to the stationery wonderland at MESSE2013 and took a day off to head to Osaka. While walking through Namba Walk before reaching my destination, I came across this shop. It was August 8th, which happened to be "Pierrot Papa Day," so their cream puffs were on sale for 100 yen each. Despite already trying out two other shops, I couldn't resist this once-a-year sale. This was my first time trying their cream puffs, and although they were crispy on the outside and reasonably sweet, my companion mentioned that there was less cream than usual. If the regular ones have more cream, I'd like to try those next time to see how they compare.
