A cafe located right near Hirakata Park Station in Osaka. Couldn't get into Universal Studios, so switched to Hirakata Park, but arrived before opening. Decided to have breakfast somewhere. Turns out it's the family restaurant of Mayu Kawasaki, which got me really excited. The interior is filled with posters and signs. It's a retro, old-fashioned cafe where you can relax. Ordered a morning set. It came with a plate filled with thick toast, scrambled eggs, salad, and coffee. Didn't expect to eat so much. Thanks to this breakfast, I was able to enjoy Hirakata Park to the fullest that day. Definitely recommend this place when you're in Hirakata City. I'm curious about the Mayu Curry too.

For lunch on this day, I went to "Kissa Kohaku" located just a 1-minute walk from Hirakata Park Station. I wonder if this is the family home of Masayo Kawasaki? Inside the shop, there were posters of Masayo Kawasaki, so it must be her family home, right? I ordered the "Masayo Curry" and it was served with a generous portion of salad. The salad was fresh and crunchy, and the Masayo Curry was filled with various vegetables. It was a healthy curry with a spicy kick. The sweetness of the vegetables and the spiciness of the curry blended well together, creating an authentic and delicious curry. Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by on my way back from the "CC Sakura Exhibition" after visiting Hirapar. I don't get the chance to go to Hirakata often (lol). I was a bit surprised to learn that it was the exact opposite of "Kawasaki Mayoi's family home"---(;゚Д゚)!! It was a coffee shop with a truly Showa retro atmosphere, and the atmosphere was really nice. I ordered: ☆Iced coffee ☆Mayoi curry (we shared it between the two of us lol) The owner's friendly atmosphere and the curry full of sincerity were all amazing. Everything was wonderful (☆∀☆)

I went to the café & snack shop "Kohaku" right in front of Makuhari Koen Station. I just found out that it is actually the family restaurant of Masayo Kawasaki. If you go to Kohaku, you must try the "Masayo Curry"! For details about the restaurant's food, atmosphere, and recommended points, please check Instagram, LINE official account, or Facebook if you are on a smartphone. If you are on a computer, please check the URL under "This review is posted from a blog" below.

We visited a restaurant introduced on the TV show "Yo-i-don!" because my wife wanted to go. It is the family home of Masayo Kawasaki, and her mother runs the restaurant. The restaurant is located near the east exit of Keihan Hirakata Park Station, just across the railroad crossing. It has a Showa-era atmosphere, with Masayo's posters displayed throughout. The ambiance is nice, but it allows smoking, which made me a little uncomfortable. We ordered the mayo curry and omurice, which were reasonably priced and delicious. Masayo's mother was very friendly. My wife was happy to have been able to visit here.

Located just a 30-minute train ride from Osaka Station, right near the east exit of Hirakata Park Station, is a cafe run by Ms. Kawasaki May's mother. The cafe is named "Kohaku," which is apparently the name of the grandmother. It is said that the cafe was a Christmas present from the grandfather to the grandmother. Inside the cafe, you'll find photos of Kawasaki May, as well as a calligraphy piece with the word "gratitude" written on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't meet Ms. Kawasaki May's mother as she usually arrives around 3 pm, but she is described as a tall and lovely lady. There was a magazine photo of Kawasaki May and her mother on display. The specialty of the cafe is the "May Curry for 950 yen" (comes with salad), which is a recipe created by the grandfather with the mother's vegetable stew as a topping. Kawasaki May always eats this when she returns home. It's made by blending lots of fruits and vegetables in a juicer to create a unique flavor profile with a sweet taste at first and a spicy kick later on. It's a taste that you'll want to eat again the next day! The "Takoyaki Udon Set for 900 yen" is also recommended, with takoyaki inside the udon noodles. It comes with rice, pickles, and a daily side dish, making it a hearty meal. Yahoo! Blog - Announcer's Monologue ★ Fujikawa Nana ★ - http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/dreamjapan04

I visited the coffee shop & snack bar owned by Ms. Kawasaki Mayu's family, and it was very interesting. There were three male customers at the counter and one customer at a table. The staff included Ms. Kawasaki Mayu's mother and two other women. Ms. Kawasaki Mayu's mother was very beautiful, and the other staff member was friendly and had a bright and pleasant demeanor, chatting happily with what seemed to be regular male customers. I had a set of hotcakes and tea, which reminded me of Morinaga hotcakes. There were flowers in the shop that were a gift from Mayu Kawasaki for her mother's birthday.

After working near Hirakata Park for a few weeks, we realized that there are not many restaurants around here. When we were discussing what to do for lunch, a colleague from our parent company mentioned, "There is a cafe owned by Masayo Kawasaki near here!" So, we decided to go there for lunch. It is located right next to the Keihan Main Line "Hirakata Koen" station. Masayo Kawasaki is known for her roles in the popular show Garo and for recently releasing a new song after 32 years. The menu was a mystery to us, so we decided to order the "Masayo Curry." The toppings on the curry vary each day, and on that day, it had lotus root, potatoes, burdock, eggplant, carrots, and chashu. It was quite a hearty meal. Another day, we went back to try the "Takoyaki Udon." It had plenty of grated yam and two pieces of takoyaki. The udon was light and Osaka-style. It was interesting to see takoyaki as the main dish. The retro interior of the restaurant, with old pop songs playing, made us feel like we had traveled back in time. Since it is close to our office, we will definitely visit again for lunch. Oh, and don't forget to check out Masayo Kawasaki's new song "Mujou"!

Kawasaki Mayo's mother's cafe located right near the Meikohara Park Station. I visited for breakfast. When you open the door, you are greeted by a retro atmosphere dyed in amber-colored lighting, just like the shop name suggests. A kind lady greeted me with a smile. The classic dark brown space is filled with fancy decorations, such as Cupid dolls. Red items like ashtrays and napkin cases add a dramatic touch. There is a plush toy holding a Christmas plate, even though Halloween hasn't ended yet. Is this on display all year round, or are they ahead of the seasons? Quite trendy! The background music played a medley of nursery rhymes, and as I ordered breakfast, the evening sun began to set. It's still too early for dusk, I can't go home with the crows just yet. While thinking about this, my breakfast arrived. The breakfast plate consisted of thick toast, scrambled eggs, and salad. The toast had a dynamic cut with a gentle slope on the cross-section. The scrambled eggs were fluffy with just the right amount of ketchup. The salad was dressed with lots of sesame dressing, and the potato salad even had pumpkin in it. The coffee here had a taste of the past. I chatted with the kind lady who came to the shop on my way out, but Mayu Mama is said to come in the afternoon. Although I didn't get to meet Mayu Mama, I had a good time with the kind lady who was like a gentle mother. Right now, the takoyaki udon set meal is highly recommended. I'm also curious about Mayu Curry (laughs).

Kawasaki Mayosama's mother welcomes you with a smile at this delightful cafe ☕️ With over 50 years of history, this nostalgic coffee shop exudes a Showa era charm. For those born in the Showa era, the atmosphere inside is comforting, and it serves as a gathering place for fans of Mayosama from her idol days. Although the photo of the food disappeared, the ambiance of the shop remains. The Mayosama curry is delicious, with a good amount of spices and plenty of vegetables. I would definitely visit this place again when I go to Osaka. \(^o^)/

I decided to try a café located a little north of Keihan Korien Station as I was feeling hungry. When I opened the door, I found that all the seats were taken except for the counter! It seems to be quite popular. Later I found out that this café is actually owned by Kawasaki Mayoi's mother. So, I had to try Mayoi Curry. The curry comes with a side salad. Mayoi Curry has different ingredients each day, and today it had pumpkin, eggplant, ham, and more. The taste of the curry was like homemade curry, giving a nostalgic feeling. The vegetables were soft and easy to break with a spoon. Personally, I prefer the rice in curry to be a bit firmer, but the rice here was a bit soft. Since it's a café, smoking is allowed in the entire store, so I wouldn't come here just for coffee, but it seems to have many fans who appreciate the friendly service of the staff.

I visited "Kissa & Snack Kohaku" located in Hirakata Park! This shop is known as the family restaurant of the actor Masayo Kawasaki, who has appeared on TV several times, so many people may be familiar with it, but it was my first visit. The location is just a short walk from Hirakata Park Station in the opposite direction of Hirakata Park. The exterior looks like a normal coffee shop, with a modest sign saying "Masayo Curry" in front of the shop. The Showa-era ashtrays give a nice retro feel, even though I don't smoke. Without looking at the menu much, I ordered the "Masayo Curry" for 850 yen. It would be nice to also have "Ryoko Mashio Curry" or "Mayo Okamoto Curry". Maybe when they run out of ideas, they could introduce "Mao Asada" curry, and gradually transition to "Denzel Washington" curry for a unique touch. First, a salad. The curry has arrived. Surprisingly, it contains whole vegetables! Eggplant, onions, ham, pumpkin, bitter melon chips, and I think the red one is carrot? The curry has a homey and gentle taste, which is delicious. The whole vegetables are tasty, and it's the first time I've had curry with whole onions in it. Even without the name Masayo Kawasaki, I think this curry has a unique personality. However, the toppings on the curry seem to vary each time I see it in photos on other blogs or from my memories of seeing it on TV, so if you go based on this, you may not get the same thing. Thank you for the meal!

Kawasaki Mayo's hometown! I wanted to try Mayo Curry! I visited this place for that reason. It has a very cozy atmosphere. The interior is very retro. It was full of regular customers, and time seemed to pass slowly, making it very comfortable. The brother (probably Mayo's sibling) who cooked the food and the mother's service were both relaxed and kind. The food was Mayo Curry for 850 yen, which is regular curry rice with toppings of the day. This time it had taro, carrots, pumpkin, and ham. The first bite had a fruity taste, followed by a slowly building spicy flavor that paired well with the vegetables. I honestly didn't have high expectations, but it was really delicious, and I finished it quickly. According to the mother, some customers enjoy this curry roux as a snack with a drink, and I can see why. It was incredibly tasty. There were many other menu items that caught my eye, but I would like to revisit for the hotcakes next time. Thank you for the meal!
