I bought Nakamuraya's soup curry that I had been interested in at Costco Satte store. I will have it for lunch today. When I opened the box, there were 5 silver retort pouches. I started cooking rice first with the quick-cook function. Then, I boiled water in a pot and put the retort pouches in. After 5 minutes, I turned them over. When the timer went off, I poured the contents of the retort pouch into a plate. Inside, there were chicken drumettes, boiled eggs, lotus root, potatoes, and carrots. The retort pouch already had all the ingredients, so it was convenient. It's perfect when you want to eat soup curry or when you're tired of regular curry and want something different. Moreover, it tastes like curry from a famous restaurant. The chicken is so tender that it breaks apart easily with a spoon. The potatoes are fluffy, and the boiled eggs are filling. I took a bite of rice with a spoon and dipped it in the soup. Delicious! The flavor is slightly spicy and a bit hot, very tasty. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely give it a try. It's like going to a restaurant, but it's affordable. Personally, I highly recommend it! It costs 1598 yen, which is 320 yen per meal. It's great with rice cooked at home. Bon appétit!

The whole family loves the cocktail shrimp from Costco, and we recently noticed that the portion size has increased along with the price. Despite this, we are still very satisfied with the dish. They are made with almonds and nuts, half of them are coated in chocolate. When you bite into them, they may break and crumble, so be careful and chew quietly. Personally, I prefer them a bit firmer with caramel. But they are delicious, so give them a try. They sell out quickly, so if you see them, make sure to buy them right away!

I bought the recommended clam chowder and tried it at the eat-in area. It's a dish born in the Northeastern United States, with a balanced flavor that doesn't overwhelm with creaminess. It has a nice blend of clam broth and onion flavors that I think would appeal to Japanese tastes. The portion was generous and satisfying. I also bought the recommended pizza for a drink later in the evening. The crust used to be thin and crispy, but now it's soft and fluffy bread-like. It had plenty of pepperoni and cheese, and was simply delicious. The French white wine I bought to go with it was also a hit.

Well well, today is Costco, which means it's time for Cocktail Shrimp, right? We'll be buying a variety of things, but this is a must-buy every time. While we may skip the bargain $1.80 hot dog sometimes, we almost never skip the Cocktail Shrimp. So, good evening for dinner! Let's get the beer ready! As we discuss this, my younger daughter chimes in, "Maybe it's because I'm eating normally?" In June 2022, at the Costco in Minamigaoka, one of the popular items is the croissant. This was my first time trying it, and one croissant is American-sized! They use fermented butter for this croissant, which gives it a delicious flavor and moist, soft texture.

I bought a "French roll" for the first time, and it's a product where you bake half of it yourself to complete the bread. It lasts for a reasonable amount of time, and you can enjoy freshly baked bread. It has a rich wheat flavor and is delicious. Butter or margarine is good, but I like to dip the torn bread in Demi-glace sauce that I pour over an omelet.

It's a delightful gift. I love nuts in general, especially pistachios. I first encountered pistachios when I was 20 years old at an authentic bar where they were served as a charm. I was so impressed by their deliciousness. Lately, I've been dissatisfied with the expensive and often unsalted pistachios sold in supermarkets due to the health trend. Recently, I heard that Costco's pistachios are delicious and I really wanted to try them. However, Costco requires a membership, which I didn't see the benefit of getting. But I received a large amount of pistachios as a gift and I'm so happy. I tried them with wine and they have a rich flavor, a mild saltiness, and a great texture. I plan to enjoy them with cheese and ham for my evening drinks. I also remember buying American hot dog sausages at Costco when it first opened, and I got hooked on them for a while. Pistachios are also used in various dishes and as a snack. They have a unique flavor and are known as the "queen of nuts." They are also used in pastries, ice cream, and as a traditional remedy for various ailments. Eating nuts like pistachios is known to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

I really liked the pistachios here in March 2022! I started stocking up on them since they were out of stock for a few months before. When I visited the food court after a long time, I found that the clam chowder was gone and the shrimp bisque had increased, so I decided to try it. It was very rich, with lobster extract in it. There were plenty of chopped vegetables and almost 10 shrimp tails, all with a good texture and no strong flavor, but they were firm and satisfying to eat. It was a delicious soup.

Squeezing in between heavy snowfall, I made my way to Costco. I tried the newly released Pulled Pork Burger at the end of 2021. The size was as expected - large! It can satisfy an adult man on its own. At home, we cut it in half and shared it between two people. Pulled pork is shredded pork mixed with barbecue sauce, and this one was made with 100% oak wood smoked pork weighing 170g. The price was 680 yen, but I got a 100 yen discount that day. The meat was tender and the American BBQ flavor was delicious! The slightly spicy kick was a nice touch. The amount of vegetables was a bit on the low side, but it was very satisfying and really tasty!

In December 2021, the pistachios at Costco are the best with a good amount of salt, in my opinion. After pistachios, I really like the garlic shrimp (ahijo) because the content is fantastic. The shrimp is not too strong in flavor and has a good texture. The only challenge is that there is a lot of it and the seasoning is on the stronger side, so it can get a bit overwhelming. Another recommendation is the blueberries, which is the only fruit I buy.

In November 2021, I already have a pretty good idea of what to buy at Costco, but this time I decided to try the High Roller and Costco bread, among other things. Since they come in large quantities, I shared them with friends. Costco's food tends to be rich and bold in flavor, which can get a bit overwhelming for me. However, I can't resist their blueberry and pistachio products. They are a must-try at Costco! ♫

I bought a new pizza that seemed to be a new release. It had a generous amount of Jiro-style char siu-like meat on top, with 8 slices. The box had the word "Porchetta" on it. I didn't know what it meant, so I searched it up and found out it's an Italian roast pork. Interesting. I also bought other items like dinner rolls, honey wheat bagels, and more. Everything was cheap, delicious, and made me happy.笑

My husband and I stopped by a food court on our way back from golf to grab something to eat. We waited in line for a bit, but the line moved quickly so we decided to join. It was surprisingly fast from ordering to receiving our food. We ordered a hot dog, a cheeseburger, and tomato cream chowder. We tried to eat at a table near the entrance, but first, we had to fill our drink cup ourselves as it came with the hot dog. We didn't know it was a drink included so we rushed back to fill it up. The hot dog was also supposed to be topped with ketchup, mustard, and diced onions which we had to add ourselves. It was a new system for us but we'll get used to it. Now, onto the taste. The cheeseburger was delicious, we would definitely order it again. The patty was 100% beef, likely American beef. We usually only buy domestic beef so we were a bit hesitant, but it was as tasty as the prime beef we bought at Costco before. The juiciness of the tomato made it refreshing. It was filling enough for the two of us. The hot dog sausage had a unique taste but was enjoyable. The most impressive was the tomato cream chowder. It was incredibly delicious. It was hot and had plenty of mushrooms and chicken, and for the price, it was unbelievable. We will definitely visit again.
