I bought a plain cheesecake to eat during my sightseeing break, and a set of baked sweets as souvenirs. The rumored cheesecake was cold, with a light and fluffy texture, and very delicious. There were many flavors available, so I wanted to try not only plain but also caramel and other flavors, but I had eaten too much at the breakfast buffet and wasn't hungry when I visited... What a shame. When I bought the baked sweets for souvenirs, the staff at the register kindly asked, "Would you like a ribbon on it?" and made it look very cute. Although I couldn't visit this time, I heard there is a shop in the Bay Area too, so I would love to go there if I have the chance. The cheesecake, as well as the baked sweets that last long, are highly recommended!

So, it's "Petit Merveille Hakodate Station Front Store". I came home in the daylight again, which is nice. This Petit Merveille has a dining area, which is convenient for waiting for trains and buses. There's also a Doutor in Hakodate Station, but this place feels more Hakodate-like. I bought Mel-chan's pudding for 324 yen (tax included) even though it says 360 yen (tax included). Maybe because it was late at night even though it was bright outside. I'm not a big fan of soft puddings, but the flavor is strong and delicious. It tastes even better with the caramel sauce that comes separately. Mel Cheese is delicious, but this pudding is pretty good too.

I ordered the trial set for 750 yen and drinks for 450 yen each. The set includes various sweets which can be a representative souvenir, allowing you to taste before giving it as a gift. I think it's a great set. The cake set for around 800 yen also caught my eye as being reasonably priced.

I wanted to eat a peach parfait, so I went to "Petit Merveille Hakodate Ekimae" in front of Hakodate Station. I confirmed the day before that they would be available from around 10:30 am, so I went there in the morning. The peach parfait was amazing! The bottom layer had peach jelly, cookies, ice cream, cream, and peaches, I think. It started melting a lot, and I was like, "Uh oh." The pumpkin pudding and Mel-chan pudding in the trial set were rich and amazing.

The Hakodate expedition is now over. I took a little break at a place near the station where the inside was quiet. Looking at the menu, there were only two choices: Soft Serve (Vanilla) for 408 yen, with the option of cone or cup. I had high expectations after trying the delicious soft serve from Onuma Farm Milk Plant yesterday, so this one fell a bit short in terms of sweetness, smoothness, and aftertaste. It wasn't bad, but for over 400 yen, I expected a bit more. There was no option for pumpkin flavor. As I was leaving, I found a sign for a JAF discount, which is a common occurrence. Overall, it was a decent meal.

Wow, if you're having trouble deciding on a souvenir, just try eating once, and you'll be satisfied with this set. The pumpkin is rich, while Mel-chan has a good balance of caramel bitterness. The butter sandwich has a strong strawberry flavor, and the cheese is richer and firmer than the famous Snaffles. I ended up being satisfied with this set. I'll think about souvenirs another time.

It's a plate that Melvill lovers will absolutely adore. It's a must-visit shop when you go to Hakodate.

In front of the shop, there was a yellow soft serve sign! I love pumpkins, so as soon as they opened (8:30), I went in! I ordered the morning dessert, pumpkin soft serve (400 yen) right away! You can choose between a cup and a cone, and I chose the cup! The rich taste of pumpkin was just right for me! Mixing it with other flavors might not be the best idea, pumpkin only could be the way to go! There are plenty of table and counter seats inside the shop, so it seems like a nice place to have a leisurely morning (croissant, salad) as well ( ˙▿˙ ) You can also enjoy cakes in the shop, so it's a good place to take a break! So, I chose the one with Melty Cheese and soft serve ice cream. The rich Melty Cheese paired perfectly with the refreshing soft serve. There were many other menu items, so I'll try something different next time! By the way, the next day I bought the strawberry butter sandwich and it was delicious. Every item I tried was tasty. I arrived at 10:05 on a Saturday and there was only one other customer getting a takeout. The price is reasonable for a location near the station. It lacks a sense of volume. I wanted to try the Melon Whole Soft Serve Ice Cream, but it's probably not available due to the season.
