Tonight, I went out for drinks with an old subordinate for the first time in a while. We decided to have yakitori, so we headed to "Akiyoshi Nihonbashi Store" along Sakai-suji. It's a favorite spot of mine recommended by a reviewer. We sat at the counter in the back, toasted with draft beer and plum wine with soda. We started with skewers of chicken thigh, young chicken skin, green onion, cabbage, and tomato. We kept ordering drinks and dishes, enjoying the skillful management of the restaurant by the manager, who my reviewer friend called a "genius". The four foreign staff members also provided excellent service. We continued with skewers of chicken gizzard, white meat, fried quail eggs, onion rings, cucumber, and pork loin. We finished with grilled rice balls. It was a great time chatting and we stayed longer than expected. Looking forward to my friend treating me next time. Thank you for the meal!

I love yakitori and it's been a while since I visited Akiyoshi! This was my first time at this store. I was impressed by the way the manager? or someone in charge was patiently guiding a foreign staff member. The yakitori was delicious as always. I intended to stay for just a short while but ended up lingering longer than planned. I definitely want to go back again. 💁🏻‍♀️

After a long journey from Gyoda to Osaka, I checked into a hotel in Nipponbashi. It was raining and I was tired from traveling, so I didn't have the energy to go far. Instead, I went to the famous yakitori restaurant called Shokichi near the hotel. I sat at the counter and started with a beer. The cabbage with mayonnaise was delicious. I also tried the Vietnam-style skewers for the first time, which had a nice texture. I had onion fries, quail eggs, fried tofu, and potato shochu with water. The grilled chicken was great, and I had a total of three glasses of potato shochu with water. I was exhausted, so I headed back to the hotel. It was a satisfying meal.

I love Akikichi so much♡ On this day, I went to Akikichi Nihonbashi store. I stopped by after visiting my parents' house to have dinner. I entered the store right after it opened. It was empty at first, but quickly filled up with customers. Here's what I ate that day: - Cucumber x2 for 72 yen each - White fish for 457 yen - Mackerel for 506 yen - Red snapper for 435 yen - Shiitake mushrooms for 330 yen - Lotus root tempura for 325 yen - Grilled rice ball for 385 yen It goes without saying that the food was delicious, but what really impressed me was the store manager at the Nihonbashi store! He had a bit of a tough appearance, but his attitude towards the part-time staff and his way of guiding them was really kind. Since it's a counter-style restaurant, you can see the staff working hard up close. If the atmosphere was tense, it would be uncomfortable, but there was no need to worry about that here. Also, on the day I visited, all four part-time staff were foreigners. I've worked with foreigners before, and guiding them from scratch can be difficult due to language and cultural differences. So, I was amazed by the greatness of the store manager at the Nihonbashi store. It's a great thing to manage young foreign part-time staff, and his kind approach is impressive! Even when giving instructions to part-time staff who are still a bit uncertain in Japanese and movements, he does it gently. Even when the store gets really busy and chaotic, he guides them kindly and clearly, which made me think he's an amazing person. It's a bit too close to my parents' house, so it was a bit hard to go there, but I think I'll go there more often from now on (o^^o) Next time, I have to try the potato fries!! Nankai Osaka Line Nipponbashi Station, my long-time partner. I heard they were itching to eat Akiyoshi. So, we headed south on Sakai-suji to the Nipponbashi store. And then... without looking, we started with a bang! Kirin Lager, Kappa 6 bottles, tomato salt cabbage mix, Italian color scheme to sum it up, with Akiyoshi as the centerpiece. Pure ecstasy to follow! Minoshiru, the best in Japan! No, the best in the world!! Akiyoshi's pure ecstasy. It had been a month since I last ate it, so the pure ecstasy loop was spinning faster than usual. My partner had not eaten it in two months? That's like an oasis in the desert. And of course, I couldn't resist the final potato fries. The forbidden finale!

I love Akiyoshi♡ I stepped into the Nihonbashi store for the first time! It's near my parents' house, so I passed by this place every day on my way to school. The Mino has 3 pieces now! =͟͟͞͞(•̀ω•́ ‧̣̥̇)When it comes to Akiyoshi, it's usually in units of 5 pieces, so I was quite shocked. Well, it's okay. I'll eat 3 pieces too though... I felt like eating yakitori, so I went to Akikichi in Nihonbashi. Due to the COVID-19 measures, they close at 8 pm, so I hurried to visit. The restaurant was not crowded, quite empty actually, until around 7 pm when it started to get busier. I ordered the Juntori first, which is a part with skin on, giving it a crispy texture. It has a slightly yellowish color and was nicely crispy. Personally, I thought the chicken skin was the best. Unfortunately, it seems they have switched to serving only three skewers now, which is a bit disappointing. The tsukune (chicken meatball) that I ordered did not turn out so well, as shown in the photo. It seems that other than tsukune, the other items are better. I also ordered the chicken tenderloin for protein replenishment, which I often eat at home. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Akiyoshi" near Kintetsu Nihonbashi for the first time. I have been to the Namba and Shinsaibashi branches a few times before. The dishes I tried were: chicken skewers, meatballs, chicken skin, heart, young chicken, gizzard, cabbage, draft beer, chu-hi, sweet potato shochu, and yakitori rice bowl. The skewers were served in sets of five, and the chicken skewers had a great texture and flavor. The chicken skin was also delicious with its fatty goodness. It's a casual yakitori restaurant where you can easily enjoy a meal.

I'm heading back home after enjoying a nice drink outside at Nihonbashi Station on the Sakaisuji Line of Osaka Metro. I suddenly remembered that I might have withdrawal symptoms if I don't have my fix... Did I do it? Did I not? I should just call and confirm, but for now, I'll go and check. If they're not doing it, I'll just head back. I can't contain my excitement, so I impulsively decide to make a visit. I take the Kintetsu train back to Nihonbashi, climb the stairs leading to Sakaisuji, and head south towards the Akikichi Nihonbashi store. They're open! From this week onwards! "How have you been?" I ask. They prescribe me some pure kei to get rid of my withdrawal symptoms. So, I break through the splash sheet and the mask, and make a no-look return. Two sweet potato sodas, four kappas, one cabbage mix, one tomato salt, one pure kei, one mini, one white. It's nice to have a familiar place to greet each other with smiles even in times like this. It's been almost two months since I last had what I used to eat almost twice a month. And of course, it's still too delicious. The overflowing meat juice and perfect saltiness, the unique flavor and texture that spreads when you chew. It's no wonder the withdrawal symptoms kick in with this feeling. I had some tonkatsu during the day, but I couldn't miss out on the potatoes at Akikichi. Crunchy potato fries with mustard dip. Delicious. Akikichi, as expected. This should keep my withdrawal symptoms in check for the next two weeks.

Hello, tonight I visited the reliable restaurant "Akiyoshi". I sat at the counter. I like the casual atmosphere here, and the style of ordering 5 skewers at a time is great, right? The Namba and Tennoji branches that I often go to are often full and I can't get in, but maybe the location is a bit bad? Not very noticeable? I always use this restaurant! The tsukune is incredibly delicious, and I end up eating a lot of it. All the yakitori is delicious, and the drinks are reasonably priced, so whenever I feel like eating yakitori, I always choose Akiyoshi!

I went to Akiyoshi again today. It's always calming. Akiyoshi. Delicious. Akiyoshi. So, this time, I went to Akiyoshi in Nipponbashi, Osaka. Once you know there's Akiyoshi there, you can't help but go. Haha. And as usual, I ordered without looking at the menu: jyunge, shiro, mino, pietro, chicken skin, and kushikatsu. The classic order, still delicious! The grilling may vary slightly depending on the store, but the taste is always spot on. To finish, I had miso soup. It may be instant, but it's comforting. It's so hot, be careful not to burn yourself. I enjoyed it once again. Thank you for the meal!

If asked what my favorite yakitori at Kintetsu Osaka Nipponbashi Station is, I would say Junkei from Akiyoshi! It's one of the dishes I consider for my last supper menu. Junkei is the meat of a parent chicken that has finished laying eggs. It's also known as twisted chicken. It may not be as popular as young chicken due to its tough texture, but it has a deep flavor that comes with maturity. The more you chew, the more the rich taste spreads in your mouth. I'm not trying to compare it to life, but I hope to become a person who, like aged meat, becomes more flavorful and deeply ingrained in the heart as I grow older. I used to always go to the shop in Tennoji, but I recently found out about the one in Nipponbashi and I can't help but stop by on my way back from work... Akiyoshi Nipponbashi store. Cheers with a bottle of beer. Cucumbers and cabbage with mayo. It always starts with this. It may be just cucumbers... or just cabbage... but it's so delicious! The skewers start with Junkei 5 pieces, mino 5 pieces, and shiro 5 pieces. I always start with this. I eat Junkei dipped in hot mustard. One skewer, one bite... I take a bite. The more you chew, the more the flavor spreads in your mouth. It has no greasiness, and you'll want to eat as many as you can. Mino, grilled with miso sauce, is made by mixing miso sauce with grilled beef mino. It has a slightly sour sauce that goes well with the tender mino. Shiro is pork intestines. It's grilled with soy sauce sauce with Akiyoshi's proud garlic. I like the chewy texture. The flavor of the sauce and the intestines is just right. Most of the skewers come in sets of 5. But they are all small, so you can eat them quickly with one bite each. The silver stand on the table is a great warming type. Add more skewers when you're close to running out. 5 Junkei skewers... 5 Junkei skewers... In short, it's a parade of Junkei at Akiyoshi that I love so much. It's an extremely delicious yakitori that you can only eat at Akiyoshi. The other items, like deep-fried skewers and potato fries, are also excellent. Don't underestimate the chain restaurant, the taste is outstanding. Wherever you go, whether it's Tennoji, Abeno, Kyobashi, Namba, or Shinsaibashi, it always seems crowded. But this Nipponbashi store is a bit of a hidden gem. It's rarely crowded due to its location, so I've been coming here a lot lately. The head chef at the grill is also entertaining, and the female staff provide amazing customer service. Actually... Akiyoshi's customer service is always top-notch. A truly great chain restaurant. Akiyoshi, the prestigious yakitori restaurant! It originated in Fukui Prefecture. The greatness of the fact that the shops have been around for about 30 years in the away game of Osaka can be understood by visiting the restaurant.

After visiting the charcoal-grilled restaurant Yuusei, I felt like I hadn't had enough to drink so I stopped by Akiyoshi on the way home. I didn't realize there was an Akiyoshi in Osaka too. I sat at a table in the back that was available, and first ordered a highball. The highball I ordered was very light, almost like drinking soda. For snacks, I had cabbage and pickles. The cabbage was refreshing and good. For skewers, I had the classic chicken thigh and young chicken, I think... I had them with spicy mustard sauce and the classic sauce. Thank you for the meal.

There are many Akiyoshi restaurants in Osaka, but this time I visited Akiyoshi in Nipponbashi. However, all Akiyoshi locations are always crowded, right? Nipponbashi was also full when I went. I ordered the usual Junkei, Shiro, Pitoro, Mino, and kushikatsu. The taste is, needless to say, consistently good. There is no deviation in this order. Once again, I was satisfied with my meal.

I have visited "Akiyoshi" who also has a main store in Fukui. The main store is so busy, which is unimaginable in Osaka, so I recommend checking it out if you have the chance. Today, I visited the Akiyoshi located along Sakaisuji in Nihonbashi. There is an L-shaped counter and a few table seats available. Since there were two of us, we sat at the counter. We started with a draft beer. A unique feature of Akiyoshi's yakitori (pork) is that you get a modest portion of yakitori in a set of 5 skewers per serving. The yakitori is easy to eat in one or two bites, so you'll find yourself eating them quickly. - Pork Hormone (Intestine) 390 yen (5 skewers) - Pure Chicken A popular menu item made with female chicken. 395 yen (5 skewers) - Tongue The cost performance of this item is great. 430 yen (5 skewers) - Chilled Tomato In addition to yakitori, they also offer fried foods and rice dishes, making it a versatile restaurant for various occasions.

I have a few days off starting tonight, so I'm going to drink and walk my way home. I just had a standing drink at Yamatoya and made my way to Namba. Next stop is the Nihonbashi branch of Akiyoshi, located a little south of Sakaisuji Street from Nihonbashi Station. It's a very beautiful restaurant. *Be careful on the way out as the entrance is a few steps up! Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats and table seats in the back. The staff consists of the manager and two young ladies. This is a yakitori restaurant where they use charcoal grills. The grilled skewers are placed on a stainless steel stand right in front of you, which is equipped with a warming system to keep them warm even after some time. The prices seem reasonable! I started by ordering the grilled chicken skin. It comes in a serving of 5 skewers, with each skewer not being too large in quantity. The taste is just right with a good amount of fat, crispy on the outside, and delicious when you bite into it. The staff cleans the warming stand after each order, which is nice. Next, I tried the classic tsukune. It's also grilled crispy on the outside. It's quite tough to chew, almost like it's made from the parent bird itself. But the more you chew, the more flavor comes out. Maybe they mix shoulder meat with shoulder skin? I don't know, but it tastes good and is tough to chew. Honestly, my jaw got a little tired. When I tried the chicken tail, it was served in a set of 2 skewers. The taste was average, but it got better when I added some extra spicy sauce. After getting the bill, I noticed that the receipts nowadays are quite detailed. They include the time of departure, the name of the accommodating lady, the seat number, the number of people, gender, individual food items (quantity, unit price, total price), total tax rate, tax amount, and more. Thank you for the meal. The staff's friendly greetings were nice. *I gave the service a top rating because the way the staff handled an elderly lady's takeout order was truly amazing. The young lady was very attentive. I'll keep it short, but that was my report. If only a girl like that could marry my youngest son. As a tipsy customer, I headed to Kyobashi next.
