A luxurious dinner at a long-established Western-style restaurant in Kyoto. After finishing the Nara itinerary and moving to Kyoto, I immediately had dinner, which was the first meal in Kyoto this time. I wanted to eat a reasonably priced Kyoto kaiseki or obanzai, so I picked several restaurants near the hotel, but unexpectedly, they were all full. Well, it's the second day of Golden Week, so I underestimated it. However, while walking around checking out the restaurants, I came across a very interesting place, so I decided to go there. It's a Western-style restaurant that has been around for 70 years. It exudes a wonderful atmosphere. As soon as I saw it, I was intrigued. On the second day of Golden Week, I arrived at 19:50, with 5 customers already there, and entered without waiting. It's a sophisticated restaurant with a slightly upscale feel for a Western-style restaurant in town. Looking at the menu, the prices are a bit higher than regular town-style restaurants, with set meals all exceeding 2,000 yen. They also have a wide selection of wines. I'm looking forward to it. Today's order: Standard Hamburger with Fried Egg and Cocktail Sauce for ¥1,800, Crab Cream Croquette for ¥1,700, Weltenburger (German beer) for ¥700, Matsumoto Black Queen (red wine) for ¥700. The hamburger is delicious!! It has a fluffy and soft texture, incredibly juicy, and the meat tastes delicious. It's so soft that once you cut it with a knife, it's hard to stab with a fork because it crumbles a bit, making it a bit difficult to eat, but the texture and taste are perfect. It's so fluffy and soft that it almost melts in your mouth. The sauce has a slight acidity and sweetness that perfectly enhances the taste of the hamburger. The Crab Cream Croquette is also exquisite. It's crispy! It's crunchy! Inside the light and crispy coating, the creamy crab cream overflows endlessly. The creamy sauce has a moderate sweetness and is packed with the deliciousness of crab, making both the texture and taste delicious. It's a high-quality Western dish with meticulous and reliable finishing. The taste justifies the slightly higher price compared to regular town-style restaurants. Oh, it was delicious. If it were in my local area (Tokyo), I would want to visit at least once a month for this quality. The friendly and homely owner is also lovely. I would love to visit again when I come back to Kyoto. Thank you for the meal.
