In search of a delicious lunch, I visited "Talonga Shokudo" in Kurume City. I made a reservation over the phone based on information from Tabelog that even on weekdays the restaurant gets fully booked. On a Sunday at 1:30 PM, I parked my car in the quite spacious parking lot in front of the restaurant and entered with two other people, including a toddler. The restaurant has a cafe-like exterior and is located in a residential area in Kurume City's Komorinocho. I had informed them about the toddler, so we were seated at a raised table in the back with a reservation sign. There were already 6 people seated at regular tables. The interior of the restaurant is stylish, with high ceilings, a large fan spinning, and stained glass windows. We ordered the Hamburger Lunch Set (1,300 yen tax included) and the Pasta Lunch Set (1,200 yen) from the lunch menu. Each set came with side dishes, salad, and chawanmushi. The Hamburger set also included miso soup. Today's Hamburger was served with onion sauce and shrimp and shiso leaf wrapped in deep-fried tofu skin. The Pasta was a spicy tomato sauce with eggplant and minced meat. Shortly after ordering, we were served with the side dishes, salad, and chawanmushi. The side dishes included mozuku seaweed, vegetable salad topped with fried burdock, and chawanmushi topped with nameko mushrooms, all with a gentle and delicious flavor. About 10 minutes later, the Hamburger, miso soup, and Pasta were served. The Hamburger was thick and fluffy, well-balanced with the onion sauce. The shrimp and shiso leaf wrapped in deep-fried tofu skin were okay. The Pasta for my partner came in a deep dish with three large eggplants and plenty of pasta with a gradually spicier tomato sauce. It was a delicious fusion of Italian and Japanese flavors for lunch. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I might try the curry. I will definitely visit again.

I used it for lunch. It is located in a residential area with a very spacious parking lot, so you can feel safe going by car. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere, and customers were coming in one after another. I ordered a pasta set. A salad, mozuku seaweed, and chawanmushi were served as appetizers, so it was a great deal and very delicious! Especially the chawanmushi was exquisite! The gentle seasoning and the soft texture are very soothing. The pasta was tomato and eggplant. When eaten with shiso leaves, the flavor was very nice. As you continue eating, it becomes spicier, so those who are not good with spicy food or children may want to be careful.

I went to Kurume City Hall for some business and decided to visit a restaurant that I had been wanting to try, called Talonga Shokudo. I crossed the Chikugo River and headed east at the Komorino Elementary School entrance intersection. The restaurant blends into a residential area, with a parking lot that can fit about 10 cars right next to it. Despite it being a weekday, the restaurant was almost full when I arrived at 12:35. The seating includes a counter, tables for 4 people, and tables for 2 people, with a raised seating area in the back. Luckily, we were seated at a table for 4 people. I ordered the Pasta Lunch (1,200 yen, tax included) from the lunch menu, which came with the pasta of the day (1,000 yen), a small side dish, salad, and chawanmushi. My companion ordered the Curry of the Day (1,000 yen) a la carte. The food was served in about 20 minutes. The restaurant had a high ceiling with exposed beams and natural light coming in through stained glass windows. The set meal included chawanmushi, a salad with crispy fried burdock, and mozuku seaweed salad. The main dish, the pasta of the day with eggplant and minced meat in a spicy tomato sauce, was flavorful with a gradual build-up of spiciness. I definitely felt like the set meal was worth the extra 200 yen. I will be sure to order the set meal again when I visit next time. It was a delicious meal.

I had never tried the curry here before, so I ordered the curry only for ¥950 or as a set for ¥1100. Without hesitation, I chose the set. Today's curry was a shrimp and eggplant, seasonal vegetable European-style curry. It took about 10-15 minutes to arrive. The set included three items (side dish, salad, chawanmushi). The side dish was the same as last time, which was mozuku seaweed. The salad didn't seem to have any different vegetables this time. The chawanmushi was the same, with a warm sauce of nameko mushrooms. After another 5 minutes, the curry arrived. It was beautifully presented with 5 shrimp, potatoes, broccoli, eggplant, and sweet potatoes. It seemed like they used coconut milk in the curry. It was mild at first but the carefully selected spices gradually added a nice flavor (not too spicy). The shrimp was also firm and fresh. I finished it quickly and felt satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Kosono is located in a residential area off the main street, and it can be a bit tricky to find the entrance. The parking lot is spacious but seemed a bit neglected with overgrown grass. Luckily, I arrived around 1 pm and was able to get in. I inquired about the limited 15-serving daily lunch special and was fortunate to be able to order it. The lunch came with a small bowl of steamed egg custard with a mushroom sauce, which was a delightful surprise. The salad featured a variety of unique vegetables. The hamburger steak was thick and fluffy, with a lightly flavored onion sauce that allowed the sweetness of the meat to shine through. The shrimp and shiso leaf tempura was crispy and served with a plum sauce, although the shrimp flavor was not very pronounced. The miso soup, which contained eggplant and vegetables, was tasty but the cup was difficult to drink from. Still feeling hungry, I decided to add a cake set, which unfortunately took about 10-15 minutes to arrive. It seemed that the restaurant was busy as two more groups of customers arrived after me. I have yet to try their curry, but I look forward to it next time. I also enjoyed their pasta on a previous visit. Reservations are required for their courses, so don't forget to make one!

This is a restaurant in Kurume City. It is located in a not-so-prominent location. Restaurants with such location conditions usually do not disappoint. They are not relying on a convenient location like near a station or tourist spot, so you can tell they are putting in sincere effort. There are some shining restaurants that continue to thrive despite their bad location. Restaurants that are not tasty but still in business are only relying on their location. "Famous restaurants" are rarely found near stations or tourist spots. It seems suitable for when you want to grab a meal other than ramen or udon. It feels like it's geared towards women, but men can also easily blend in. I tried the curry and hamburger. It is a proper restaurant, so not only the toilet but the whole interior exudes a sense of elegance. It is common for ramen shops with many stars and high ratings to have clean toilets, but if the toilet is too dirty, it raises doubts about the food. This restaurant is well-maintained. The taste may vary depending on preferences, but in terms of cleanliness... As for the food, the curry is for adults with just the right amount of spices, suitable for Japanese taste. Considering the taste and atmosphere, it is reasonably priced. In that sense, it is a restaurant worth supporting. It was delicious, keep up the good work.

Hamburg lunch, the taste is very good! The appetizer is well thought out. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also nice. I would like to go again if it's nearby.

Talonga Shokudo is located in a quiet residential area in Komorino, Kurume City. I have always wanted to visit this restaurant, and finally had the chance to do so with a friend's car. The appetizer assortment, crab cream croquette, European-style beef tongue curry, taraba crab tomato cream pasta, hamburger, and more were all of high quality. I look forward to trying out more dishes on their menu in the future. The restaurant has a spacious parking lot and terrace seating, making it a relaxing place to visit on weekends.

I heard about the lunch at Komorino in Kurume City and made a reservation. The daily specials were good, but we opted for the course menu in advance. The restaurant was almost full, so we were led to a private room with a sunken kotatsu table. We had reserved the 2050 yen course this time. Three types of appetizers were served on a plate, including tofu with Gorgonzola cheese, a salad with burdock root, and carpaccio with wakame seaweed and vinegar. The steamed egg custard with mushrooms and dried tomato sauce was just okay, but the fried dish of shrimp and shiso leaves with plum sauce was as expected. For the main course, I chose the hamburger steak with Japanese-style sauce, which was flavorful and tender. My companion chose pasta with eggplant, minced meat, and mushrooms in a tomato cream sauce. It was good, but could have used a stronger cream flavor. For dessert and drinks, I had iced coffee and cheesecake, while my companion had coffee. Overall, I think the cost performance is good, with the food being slightly better than home-cooked meals. Taste: 32/50, Cost performance: 12/20, Atmosphere: 13/20, Service: 9/10. Overall rating: 66/100. Address: 4-18-17 Komorino, Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Phone: 0942-32-2712.
