Today, I had to go to Toyonaka for work in the morning. I had some time before my appointment at around 9 am, so I decided to have breakfast. I visited Kirin Coffee shop. I arrived before 9 am and there were no other customers. The friendly master was working alone. He told me to sit wherever I liked, so I chose a seat by the window. The entire restaurant allows smoking. They also offer free WiFi, which the master provided the password for. I checked the menu and decided to go for the egg sandwich set with black iced coffee. After about 10 minutes, my order arrived. The egg sandwich set was huge, with a generous amount of egg filling, lettuce, and onions sandwiched between toasted bread with ketchup inside. The sandwich came with a cute mini fork. The black iced coffee was slightly light with a moderate bitterness, making it easy to drink. After finishing the substantial egg sandwich, I chose coffee jelly over tea jelly. The coffee jelly was pleasantly bitter and jelly-like. It was delicious. I enjoyed my meal and left the restaurant. By the time I left, the counter seats were almost full with Toyonaka ladies enjoying their morning. It's a popular place. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious for a long time, but hesitated to enter because it seemed intimidating to newcomers. I gathered my courage and went in, where a lovely couple warmly welcomed me and I was able to relax with delicious coffee and sandwiches.

This morning's breakfast was at Kirin Coffee in front of Toyonaka Station. The opening time is from 9 am. Even though I entered as soon as they opened, there were already 3 customers ahead of me... why is that? (laughs) Even after opening, the place was immediately full, with around 150 coffee tickets posted on the wall. It seems like a shop frequented by regular customers. The coffee was a blend, with a rich flavor that wasn't just easy to drink, which was nice! The toast was thick buttered toast, with an egg and ham cucumber for an additional 70 yen with the coffee, totaling 510 yen. It's not exactly cheap, but considering the quality of the coffee and the pleasant service, it's not expensive either. Many customers who love coffee come to this shop, and there were also customers who just ordered coffee and left quickly. It seems like a thriving shop. Additionally, the shop has Wi-Fi, which is also nice! Thank you for the meal.

The café has a cozy atmosphere and the kindness of the owner makes it a very relaxing place. The coffee is delicious, but the sandwiches are also amazing. The best one by far is the pork cutlet sandwich. The sauce on the cutlet is incredibly tasty and perfect for rejuvenating a tired body.

After a long time, I took the train to Osaka today. In the morning, I went to my mother's hospital. I forgot to buy bread yesterday and my fridge was empty. When I come by car, I bring bread and fruit, but since I took the train, I didn't bring anything. I took the bus to Hankyu Toyonaka to have breakfast. I had a few options near the station and chose a shop. I had a cinnamon toast set with boiled eggs and a cute snack - cucumber and ham on toothpicks. The cinnamon toast had plenty of butter, cinnamon sugar, and syrup on top. It was surprisingly delicious for breakfast. The coffee was also delicious, with plenty of charcoal-roasted flavor. They also had several types of homemade cakes. I might stop by on my way back and have a cake set next time.

The sauce on the pork cutlet sandwich is delicious. It has a unique and rich flavor. The vegetables are crunchy and balanced. The portion is bigger than it looks. The coffee is strong and satisfying. The coffee jelly dessert is not too sweet and has a smooth creaminess. The lunch set costs around 1500 yen. This is satisfying.

A cozy coffee shop near Toyonaka Station. The atmosphere seemed to have many regular customers, but it didn't feel unwelcoming at all. It's a warm and friendly place where conversations flow easily. I enjoyed a relaxed morning there.

I visited the cafe for an afternoon snack at 3 pm. The master and waitress welcomed me with refreshing smiles. The coffee menu includes the Kirin Blend, the signature blend of the shop, as well as a variety of straight coffees. Since it was my first time there, I decided to try the Kirin Blend. They made it using a siphon, and it had a nice balance, not too strong with just the right amount of acidity, which I really enjoyed. While there are specialty coffee shops offering expensive beans, I believe that you can still enjoy a delicious cup of coffee without being too particular about the beans. The balance of the blend, extraction time, water, the mood of the master, the mood of the customers, and the palate of the day all play a role in the taste. In terms of dining out, I have recently found that the overall balance of flavors can change even if I don't focus on the quality of the beans. It's a hobby, so I just want to enjoy drinking coffee.

I wanted to try the homemade cakes, but I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to save it for next time. They also had coffee and tea-flavored jellies. The coffee had a freshly ground aroma and a light-bodied type that was easy to drink. I prefer full-bodied coffee, so I found the Giraffe Blend to be average. One thing that bothered me was the atmosphere of the room. When I placed my order, the owner casually placed an ashtray on the table. While it may be a standard service for smokers, as a non-smoker who came to enjoy the coffee flavors, I found it off-putting to have tobacco flavor mixed in. I would have appreciated if they had indicated whether it was a smoking-permitted area before entering. The lack of consideration for non-smokers and the lack of clear signage led me to give a lower rating from my perspective. As a non-smoker, I dislike establishments that have a weak management approach to separating smoking and non-smoking areas, where tobacco flavors can permeate even in non-smoking sections.

Visited at 11 o'clock. I was feeling hungry so I was hoping they had a morning menu... and the staff asked me, "Would you like to have the morning set?" The morning set is available until 11 o'clock (^-^; I gladly accepted the morning set. It came with buttered toast, boiled egg, and hot coffee♪ There was also a small ham and cucumber roll. It seems like a local favorite as there was a regular customer chatting with someone nearby. They have a variety of cakes as well, so I would love to try them next time. The tart looked delicious (＞▽＜). They seem to take pride in their coffee, which was really tasty. It felt like the water was different... They have a partnership with the nearby Times so you can get a discount coupon for orders over 1000 yen.

The other day, I finally went to Kirin Coffee in Toyonaka, which I had been passing by for years. Inside, there were counter seats and table seats, and since a table for four was available, I sat alone. This place was on my route to junior high school, and some of my classmates' homes were nearby, so I felt nostalgic while ordering an iced lemon tea and Mont Blanc cake. The Mont Blanc cake had a homemade feel to it and was delicious. It seemed to be run by a young couple, and they were chatting with a woman who seemed to be the mother of a classmate of my child who was sitting at the counter. As I ate while looking at magazines, regular customers kept coming in, sitting at the counter and ordering coffee. There were many coffee tickets posted on the wall, so it seems like they have a lot of regular customers! There were also plenty of fashion magazines, making it a relaxing place, but the woman who seemed to be the mother of my child's classmate, a local cram school teacher, and the young couple who were the owners were sitting at the next table, talking about their children's studies, making me feel like this was a place for parents to chat. This kind of cafe is new to me! However, another person who seemed to be a cram school teacher was smoking a cigarette, and the smoke reached the seat next to me, so I wanted to stay a little longer but decided to leave the store. When I looked at other reviews, they also mentioned the issue of smoking. The young couple who were the owners were friendly, the atmosphere of the store was nice, and they are also participating in the Toyonaka Bar event this month, but I might not go back again...

Today, I visited the café "Kirin Coffee" in front of Toyonaka Station. Since they don't serve beer, I couldn't cheers with a "nama" like usual, so I ordered a "Sumiyaki Coffee" (530 yen) and a "Mixed Sandwich" (750 yen). The Sumiyaki Coffee had a strong aroma and a mild acidity, mmm, delicious! The Mixed Sandwich had ham, vegetables, and egg, mmm, delicious! The café had a counter with 7 seats, two 4-person tables, and one single table. It was quite crowded with Toyonaka ladies ordering cake sets around 3 o'clock.

I visited this place because I heard that the tickets from the festival can still be used as vouchers here. The giraffe painting outside the shop is cute. Inside, it felt like there were a lot of regular customers. The coffee was made using a siphon and it was delicious. The cakes had a homemade feel to them. Last time I visited, the staff's child was peeking out from the kitchen and it was adorable. It felt like a coffee shop beloved by the townspeople.

After leaving the hospital, I stopped by this cafe. I had a hard time deciding, but ended up choosing the blended coffee. The jelly and cakes looked delicious, but I had dinner waiting at home so I resisted. I was surprised to see that the coffee cup was filled to the brim, such great service. It had the perfect amount of acidity, just the way I like it. What I really liked was the perfect volume, not too big or too small, and the classical music playing in the background. It reminded me of the old "coffee shops" I used to enjoy, making me want to stay longer. I thought about how I wanted to eat cake and just relax there, but unfortunately, I won't be going to the hospital for a while. I would definitely visit this cafe again when I'm nearby or need to go to the hospital. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

[2012.8 Visit] I went for the first time since the name changed! It's a cafe diagonally across from Ruijuku. It used to have the same name as Hattori no Karin, but it changed without me knowing. There were a counter, a large table, and two small tables for two people. It was hot, so I ordered an iced coffee. It was a good amount and tasted nice. There were cute giraffe figurines scattered around the store, giving it a cozy feel. I relaxed slowly. Next time, I want to try the sandwich and cake. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go again!

There is always a regular customer who talks loudly with the staff at this restaurant, making it a noisy and unsettling place for Ichigen-san.
