I entered Maxitei, which is always full, around 5 PM and found some empty seats. They had a happy hour promotion with draft beer for 199 yen until 6 PM. I ordered grilled chicken with grated radish and meat miso tofu, then had a refill of draft beer. The food was delicious and the draft beer was cheap. The staff provided great service. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

It used to be a standing bar back in the day. The Napolitan had a satisfying taste and was incredibly delicious.

The staff at the store were not very friendly, but it's not a problem when you can get such cheap and delicious drinks and appetizers. The bonito sashimi is less than 500 yen, but it's so delicious that I highly recommend trying it! There were also many other delicious dishes!

On Sunday, I went to eat Napolitan. However, I was not satisfied with the Napolitan there, so I decided to try another place that I had my eye on. That place was "Maxitei" located on the underground floor of Osaka Dai-san Building. It is generally recognized as an izakaya, not a restaurant focusing on food, but it was featured on Tabelog for its Napolitan. I ordered a tomato chu-hi and Napolitan. I might have seemed like an unusual customer, especially with the tomato chu-hi. The Napolitan that came out had a nostalgic look, with a fried egg on top to enhance the image. However, it did not satisfy my Napolitan craving. The ketchup flavor was just not strong enough. It still couldn't beat Spa-Ou. Although my stomach was full, my Napolitan craving was left unfulfilled as I returned home. It was a disappointing day.

I was wandering around the underground of the third building, trying to decide where to have lunch, when I was lured in by the happy hour offering 199 yen draft beer until 6 pm. I wasn't planning on drinking, but since I was drawn in by the happy hour deal, I had no choice but to have a drink. I ordered a draft beer, ginger pork set meal, and tomato slices. The beer mug had what seemed to be a haiku on it. However, I wonder what it means? The ginger pork set meal and tomato slices were very ordinary. But the restaurant had an open and inviting atmosphere, even though it was underground, making it easy to enter and attracting customers one after another. There were also a few couples. It must be clear from the outside that you can easily and cheaply drink here even during the daytime. It's easy to enter even alone and has a nice vibe.

I went to "Maxitei Osaka Station Front Building No.3" on this day. I was looking for a place for a daytime drink and I saw a sign saying "Draft Beer 199 yen". And it was "Ichiban Shibori" beer! I had to go in. I arrived just before 1 pm and there were several customers already seated and only 3 groups behind me. As soon as I sat down, I ordered a draft beer. It came quickly, so I ordered "Tonpei-yaki" and "Bonito Tataki". The Bonito Tataki arrived first and it was amazing. Honestly, I was more looking forward to the Tonpei-yaki, but the Bonito Tataki was so delicious that it outshined the Tonpei-yaki. The seaweed that came with it also paired well with the beer! Of course, the Tonpei-yaki did not disappoint either. Before I knew it, I had finished 4 glasses of draft beer. I may have had too much for daytime... But, it's amazing that even after 4 glasses, it didn't cost me more than 1000 yen. Osaka is truly something. I might get hooked on this place.

Draft Beer (medium) - ¥210 They had a happy hour deal until 6:00 pm, where you could get any number of draft beers for ¥190 each. It seemed to be Kirin Ichiban beer. Next, I ordered some food: 2. Assorted Skewers (5 pieces) - ¥650 The skewers included lotus root, eringi mushroom, red wiener sausage, pork, and beef, served with cabbage and Worcestershire sauce. The breadcrumbs were fine and crispy, though a bit oily. The beef and eringi were particularly delicious. 3. The entrance and exit are surrounded by vinyl tape, so if you lean on it while drunk, you'll definitely fall off the chair (laughs). It's just a really good izakaya. The pickled ginger was unexpectedly colorless, I thought it would be pink. Of course, they also have chasers!
