"I found something unusual this time," I thought as I discovered honey-flavored jelly at this shop. The traditional Japanese confectionery store called "Hanahiko" had previously given me a popular rice cracker called "Amakarasan" as a gift, but I had never actually visited the store before. The reason I stopped by this shop this time was because a certain product caught my eye. That product was the summer limited edition "Honey Jelly" that I purchased along with the "Amakarasan." While jelly is commonly found in pastry shops during the summer, it was my first time trying honey-flavored jelly, whether in a Japanese or Western confectionery. The taste was less sweet than I expected, and the subtle lemon flavor and aroma inside the jelly gave it an elegant impression. As for the traditional "Amakarasan," upon trying it again, I realized that it had a simple and satisfying taste, even though it wasn't flashy. I learned that even at confectionery shops I don't usually visit, there is a possibility of encountering interesting products depending on the season or time of day. This experience made me want to pay attention to not only my favorite shops but also those I haven't visited yet.

I received a colorful package of senbei-like snacks called "SaiSai Rakka" at Namba Takashimaya by Mr. Hajime. The snacks were in various shapes and flavors, perfect for spring. They were cute and delicious, especially the sakura-shaped ones.

I came to Namba and purchased something for the first time. Among many options, I chose Mikasa which was quite large. It was delicious with a good sweetness, and I could taste the honey in it. Also, I bought mirin for 151 yen including tax. Considering the quality, the price was not high. Thank you for the meal! September 2015. Nankaihawks1's Gourmet Guide. Nankaihawks1's blog.

I received "Hanahannari" and "Satono Ka" from Mr. "Akihiko". Hooray! Hooray! "The elegance is here. Made with fresh eggs without using water, and adorned with the makeup of young leaves. Its tasteful expression and light flavor seem to suit stylish settings." (Written on the package of Satono Ka) Yes, Satono Ka does have a light and gentle flavor. It is elegant. This would be a delightful treat to serve guests with tea. It is a confectionery from Higashi Osaka, Osaka. It's my first time trying it. It's one of the pleasures of receiving gifts - getting to try things that you wouldn't normally buy for yourself. Thank you very much. I look forward to ordering again. May 2017
