Despite facing a busy walkway near the station, the interior of the shop is calm and relaxing, allowing you to unwind. The chiffon cake paired perfectly with the fresh cream, and I finished it in no time.

I went shopping in Osaka and got pretty tired. I took a break here at the end. It was nice to be able to relax until 15 minutes before the train departure time. The coffee was also very delicious. *The waitress told me I could have a refill of coffee, but I forgot to ask. Make sure you don't forget. One cup is 660 yen, two cups are 330 yen!

I went to this shop located on the underground floor of Namba City to have breakfast. When I arrived around 7:58, the shutter was closed, but it opened promptly at 8:00. It was my first time at this British shop, and the modern and slightly luxurious interior, along with the elegant music playing, created a calming atmosphere where you could almost forget you were in the heart of Namba. There were several options for breakfast, and I chose the cheapest set for 500 yen. I selected American coffee from the options available. The American coffee had a surprisingly rich flavor for American coffee and was extremely delicious. The toast was thick and had a nice texture, not too chewy, and just having that with the boiled egg was quite filling. I thought it was a great deal to have such delicious coffee and bread, served on Wedgwood tableware, for only 500 yen.

Today's report is from a café in Namba CITY, where I tried the first shaved ice of the year at the long-established coffee shop "Eikokuya". I chose condensed milk, strawberry, and matcha flavors, ultimately deciding on matcha for 1050 yen. The menu mentioned that the syrup was made from matcha powder from the renowned Kyoto establishment "Nakamura Tokichi". When the shaved ice arrived, I was surprised to find that there was hardly any matcha on it, almost like a "bald head"! However, after recalling the menu description, I realized that the matcha syrup needed to be poured over to achieve that color. Despite the moderate portion size, I was not particularly impressed. But when I started eating and noticed how finely the ice was shaved, like powdery snow, I appreciated the effort put into it. It felt like digging through snow on a ski slope until I finished it. Today, I am grateful for my healthy body.

After my esthetician appointment, I was feeling a bit peckish and looking for something to eat. I remembered a quaint little café called Eikoku-ya that my grandma and I used to visit on our way back from her place in Minami. Even though I had just had my esthetic treatment and should have opted for something light like a salad, I couldn't resist ordering the strawberry waffle! I managed to resist getting a drink (calorie-wise). The menu mentioned that the waffle would be made fresh after ordering, but it arrived surprisingly quickly. The waffle was beautifully presented on a cute plate with strawberries, blueberries, ice cream, whipped cream, mint, and strawberry jam. I indulged in trying each topping with the fluffy waffle and it was delicious! The waffle wasn't overly sweet, so it paired well with the toppings. The frozen blueberries were a nice touch. I must have looked really happy and content while eating, as people always say I look so happy when I'm enjoying sweets. I had a blissful time at the café and the whole treat cost exactly ¥1000. The service was great too, and I left feeling happy and satisfied.

Taking a break in Namba. Osaka locals seem to love British pubs. It's late at night, but still crowded. Surprisingly, I felt like having waffles. I opted for a blend coffee. (They offer free refills, so I had another cup). I felt a different kind of love compared to Komeda in the Chukyo region.

I stopped by for a break as I walked from Shinsaibashi. The atmosphere was calm and it was easy to have a conversation. The seats were spacious and comfortable, so I felt very relaxed. I had a sandwich, while my wife and child enjoyed waffles and had a great time. I don't usually drink coffee, so I can't really tell the difference in taste, but my wife was very pleased with the limited-time tea, so I was satisfied with that too. I took a break because I was getting tired from walking. I found this place along the way. It has a luxurious atmosphere, like a place for ladies to relax. It was lunchtime and the smell of gratin was tempting. I could also smell curry. If I had an empty stomach, I would have ordered something. Matcha drink was on the grand menu, maybe it's a local specialty. Mixed juice for 700 yen, a price I wouldn't normally pay. When you think of Kansai, you think of mixed juice, right? And when you're traveling, your wallet tends to loosen up. Come to think of it, this might be my first time drinking mixed juice. It had almost no viscosity, with acidity followed by sweetness. It left a refreshing feeling in my mouth. A lady who came in later also ordered mixed juice, which made me happy to see the expected scene.

Worried that the condensed milk might be too sweet, but the staff kindly offered to serve it separately. In the end, my son, who wanted a parfait, chose a waffle. Even though he said he was already full. I ordered a strawberry shaved ice. The shaved ice was fluffy. I started without the condensed milk. Hmm. Even without it, I enjoyed the acidity and sweetness of the strawberries. The shaved ice was so fluffy. It had a nice texture, but it was so cold that I felt sensitive to it. But the texture was so good that I couldn't stop eating it. (My son said the flavor was too light). I mixed in a little condensed milk halfway through, and that was delicious too. We finished it in no time. If you like sweet things, I think adding condensed milk is a must. But even if you don't like sweet things, this has a mysterious texture that I recommend!
