I noticed a new noodle shop next door to Shiyotsuba, so I decided to go in. There were some delicious looking inari-age mochi at the entrance, so I bought some to take home. I love the rice crackers and snacks they have here. If they also had sweet manju, that would be great. Inari-age mochi 3 bags for 999 yen. I finished eating the turtle shell ramen and decided to stop by Mochikichi, which is located on the same premises. It seems like today is a special day because there is a discount offer for 2 bags of broken rice crackers right inside on the left. I've seen on TV before that they purposely break the rice crackers to sell them as a product, but I wonder if they do the same thing here. While thinking about that, I put 2 bags of broken rice crackers in my shopping basket. They also have ice candy, so I picked up a red bean bar and headed to the checkout. The red bean bar was frozen solid, so I decided to eat it in the parking lot with Sawayama Pond in the background. The cherry blossoms were still in full bloom at that time, and there were many people out for a walk. After warming up with ramen, I cooled down with the red bean bar, which was light and delicious. When I shared the broken rice crackers I bought back at the office, everyone enjoyed them. Thank you for the meal!

When I came to have lunch, I noticed a shop called "Mochikichi" across the street. I knew the brand Mochikichi, but I didn't know there was a shop in Osaka. The building looked new, so it seemed like they hadn't been open for long. There was a banner in front of the entrance that said "Inari Age Mochi"... I consider myself a mochi lover, and when I go to eat udon, I usually order Kitsune Udon. So when I saw this banner, I couldn't just walk past. The shop was clean and the staff offered me a sample of "Inari Age Mochi" mentioned on the banner. I tried it and it was delicious, with a hint of plum flavor. I decided to buy both flavors. It's easy to prepare - just open the pack of diagonally cut fried tofu, insert the mochi, and microwave for 1.5 minutes. I also tried the grass mochi with tea in the shop, and it was delicious too. For souvenirs, I bought my favorite "Ume Zarame", shrimp senbei, curry senbei, tea, mineral water, and "Bis Choco Hatake". The Bis Choco Hatake, which is a biscuit sandwiched with chocolate, was especially popular with my daughter. My wife loved the senbei from Mochikichi and ate most of them, leaving me with hardly any Ume Zarame to enjoy... Oh well. Everything they offered was of high quality. Thank you for the meal!

"Mochikichi Osaka Sayama store" has relocated near Sayama Pond and opened. I love Mochikichi's sweets, which are often given as souvenirs. The store interior looks like this. I tried the Inari Mochiage (1 bag for 345 yen) as a sample. The rice cake is wrapped in wet rice cracker, resembling a fox sushi. There are normal and plum flavors available. I couldn't resist buying so many different items. I also tried the Kusamochi in the store, so only this item was taxed at 10%. The mugwort-scented soft rice cake was incredibly delicious! On "Water Days," you can get a free 1L bottle of Rikimizu water! Every Wednesday and Saturday, when you purchase items, you will receive a complimentary 1L bottle of Rikimizu water. The tea is rich and tastes like freshly brewed tea, it's really delicious!

"Mochikichi Osaka Sayama store" relocated near the Kamenoko intersection in February 2019 from its previous location. Next to it is the "Tsujimoto Hospital," and the parking lot is shared with "Kamakura Pasta Osaka Sayama store." Last summer, a Dutch boy stayed at our house, and before leaving, he gave "Mochikichi" senbei as a souvenir for the first time. When the Dutch boy's mother tried it in the Netherlands, she was so impressed by how delicious it was. In March 2018, the Dutch boy visited again, and before leaving, we went to "Mochikichi" to get senbei as a gift for his mother. We bought a variety of senbei for our home. The items we purchased are as follows: Sunlight Shine (10 pieces for 378 yen), Mitarashi Skewer (3 pieces for 291 yen), Inari-Age Mochi (4 pieces for 345 yen), and En-Mochi (108 yen each for 3 flavors: white bean paste, red bean paste, and cherry blossom paste - limited edition). Dutch people really love "Mochikichi" senbei. Although I only know two Dutch people who like it. There are various flavors of senbei such as soy sauce and salad, but foreigners seem to like the easy-to-eat and firm texture. The fact that it is made from Japanese rice may also be a charming point. Later, we received a message from the Dutch boy, conveying a "thank you" message from his mother in the Netherlands. "Mochikichi" has become more accessible with the relocation, and the parking lot is now larger. The store also has a resting area and is clean. We enjoyed the delicious senbei. Thank you for the meal!"

I went to an Italian restaurant near the day of its grand opening, so I stopped by for lunch. There was a crowd of customers due to capacity restrictions, and I had to wait in line. While waiting, they offered complimentary hojicha tea, which was a nice touch since it was cold outside. They also provided samples for us to try. As part of the special opening promotion, I received a special can, hina arare, inari age mochi, tako senbei, kuro bō, and a set of assorted rice crackers. They even gave me a souvenir to take home. Thank you so much for the hospitality!
