I wanted to eat delicious sashimi, so at first I thought about going to Sushi Kappo Tenryu, but I decided that I wanted to try a variety of dishes. So, I went to Izakaya Kyoto, where I had been before and had always wanted to visit again. I arrived after 8 pm and the place was as busy as ever! I could only find seating at the counter. When I looked at the menu, I saw a new dish that wasn't there before - the premium wagyu beef and sea urchin sushi! I had to try it. The beautiful marbled pink wagyu beef sushi topped with sea urchin was amazing! The wagyu beef was from Ooita and the sea urchin was from Hokkaido. It was served with kabosu citrus and rock salt. Although there was soy sauce on the side, I decided to eat it as it was. The moment I put it in my mouth, the wagyu beef and sea urchin melted together. First, I tasted the sweetness of the wagyu beef, followed by the rich flavor of the sea urchin. It was so delicious! I knew it just by looking at it, but it was really, really good. I had to order another one! For now, I'll end my review here. If there are any more unique dishes in the future, I'll be sure to post about them.

I went to a new izakaya that recently opened in my local area called Kyo. When I made a phone reservation, I ordered the sashimi omakase. Despite visiting around 7 pm, the restaurant was already fully booked! I was glad I made a reservation. The counter had 9 seats, there were two tables for 4 people each, and a tatami area that could accommodate 16-20 people. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, especially the seared white liver and Nagayama chicken. The grilled sukiyaki was a unique dish with sweet and savory flavors, featuring black wagyu beef that melted in your mouth. Among the various dishes I tried, these three stood out the most with their strong impact. I definitely plan on coming back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
