In August 2019, I went to a restaurant near Osato Station on the Osaka Metro with my son's family for dinner. My son and his wife left their child with us and went to a summer music event. We planned to relax at home with some beer after picking up the grandchild, but it turned out to be non-alcoholic beer. Since the grandchild was with us, we sat in a raised tatami area instead of a sunken kotatsu. While my son's family was eating, I kept the grandchild entertained. I don't remember the exact dishes ordered, but I think it was a set course with 20 skewers each. The skewers had a thin and crispy coating, which I enjoyed. The fried chicken was also delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively with regulars and local families chatting happily with the staff. Next time, when I'm not driving, I would like to savor the skewers with beer at a leisurely pace. Thank you for the meal! 🍻

There are course menus available, but we ordered individual items. There are also unique types of kushikatsu, with a light batter that makes them easy to eat multiple pieces. They are very delicious.

The staff are very friendly and polite. All the dishes are delicious. The restaurant is located close to the station, so whenever I visit Osaka, I always go to this place.

Located near Ideto Station in Hirano Ward, we decided to have dinner at a nearby kushikatsu restaurant called "Kushi no Ya". We parked our car at a nearby coin parking lot and noticed the sign for this restaurant. There were a few parking spaces available in front of the restaurant. When we arrived around 6:30 pm on a Sunday, there were no customers yet, but later two groups of local families came in. The restaurant has about 8 counter seats and a few table seats, as well as some raised tatami seating in the back. The prices for kushikatsu ranged from 100 to 250 yen per skewer, while oden was all priced at 100 yen each. The omakase course with 20 skewers was around 3000 yen. On this day, we ordered about 10 skewers each, 4-5 pieces of oden, dote-yaki, a large shrimp tempura sushi roll, and a few chu-hai and oolong tea drinks. The total bill for two people was around 7000 yen. The kushikatsu was decent but nothing special, while the shrimp tempura sushi was average with mediocre seaweed and rice. Surprisingly, the oden was quite tasty for its price. Overall, it was a satisfactory meal.
