Located on a small street off of Oyako-kouzou Street, this cafe&bar on the second floor of a building caught my attention with their lunch service advertised on social media. Despite the initial hesitation of entering a building, I realized that as I grow older, I become more comfortable going anywhere. The interior of the cafe&bar is stylish with a red color scheme. During my visit, the place was run by two young and charming women. According to their Instagram information, the cafe&bar is open for lunch from Tuesday to Friday, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It's always good to double-check. They serve "cold tea" instead of water, which was a nice touch. I decided to try their Hokkaido scallop rice bowl instead of the beef tongue. The Hokkaido scallop rice bowl set (1600 yen including tax) comes with various side dishes, not just the bowl itself. The scallops were thickly sliced and delicious, especially when paired with the yolk. The presentation of the side dishes and salad was elegant and feminine. The salad was packed with vegetables, and the simmered komatsuna and shimeji mushrooms had a gentle flavor. The sesame-mayo dressed lotus root and cucumber had a hint of spice from the mustard, making it delicious. The pickled Chinese cabbage was a nice touch, and the stir-fried bean sprouts were tasty. The miso soup had diced tofu in it, which was surprisingly delicious. I found out that the chef was a graduate from a well-known culinary school, explaining the high quality of the food. I also received a complimentary beef tongue dish, which was tender and tasty. I would love to try their beef tongue bowl if I have the chance.
