On the way home from work, I saw a suspiciously glowing electric sign that read "Ice Bath". Before I knew it, I was heading towards it! Utopia Shiratama Onsen!! Hello, I'm Shinji Endo, working at an izakaya in Osaka Fukushima, and planning to conquer reviews of food and beverage establishments all over Japan. The onsen is open until 2 am, so it's recommended for those who want to take a late-night bath like me. The atmosphere is that of a traditional public bath that exudes a sense of history. Although it was closed at the time, there were takoyaki stalls and other shops in front of the establishment, so it must be bustling with locals during peak times. Without further ado, the bath review! The bath area is not particularly spacious, but there are various spots scattered around. Children's pool? High-temperature sauna, ice bath, outdoor bath... I didn't try all the spots, but it seems like there are facilities where you can relax and enjoy. The showers have a historical feel to them. The water flow is not very strong, and the foam doesn't come off easily. I was pretending to be knowledgeable, saying, "Ah, this is a Showa-era shower!" but when I tried the shower next to it, it was very strong (laughs). I should have moved sooner. And finally, the blissful time after the bath! I wanted to have a beer in a grand manner... but I couldn't because I came on a motorcycle. However, there is no need to lament. Even for a drinker like me, there is a saying, "After a bath, have coffee milk!" I confidently headed towards the refrigerator, only to be shocked by the fact that the coffee milk was unexpectedly sold out! The ideal plan I had in mind collapsed with a clatter. After some contemplation in front of the refrigerator, I finally made up my mind and opened the door! Ooyama Farm Milk ¥160... Well, it's not a bad drink, but... (laughs) I slowly drank the milky white drink in the back izakaya-like space while looking at the izakaya menu. Draft beer ¥300, Pilaf ¥300, Yakisoba ¥300, Yakitori ¥300, Grilled Rice Ball ¥120, Shumai ¥120, Taiyaki ¥120... etc. Oh! The menu is not only reasonable but also attractive! If it weren't for the motorcycle, I would have started with beer and yakitori, shumai, then finish with yakisoba and grilled rice ball on the next round... I was smiling as I fantasized, but tonight's companion was the white lover. It won't work out that way (laughs). Next time, I will strive to create the perfect post-bath time and approach it with the best preparation!! Well, the milk was delicious! Rich and creamy!! Thank you for the meal.
