For some reason, he really wanted to go to the spicy noodle restaurant called Masumoto. I'm not a fan of spicy noodles, but I decided to give it a try since I had never been there before. The restaurant was clean and the staff led us to a table. I struggled a bit with ordering using the tablet device, but with the help of my son, we ordered spicy noodles with medium spiciness, gyoza, and small fried rice. My son went for the extra spicy noodles with rice and soft cartilage. We also ordered an extra serving of noodles. The restaurant had quite a few solo female diners, and I later found out that many women prefer the smaller size portions at this noodle shop. The noodles were chewy, and the broth wasn't as spicy as I expected. The garlic didn't quite complement the dish well. The gyoza was a nice palate cleanser, and I tried a bit of the soft cartilage my son ordered. Unfortunately, it wasn't to my liking. The fried rice looked dark and tasted quite strong. The Original Spicy Ramen Regular 10 Spicy has a soup that allows you to taste the umami of garlic and chili peppers very well (*´∀`)♪ The konjac noodles are chewy and delicious. Some stores have finely chopped garlic, but I prefer the crushed form used here. The Soft Cartilage is eaten with ponzu sauce. The cartilage is cooked until it becomes soft and gooey (^｡^) It goes well with the tangy ponzu sauce! I always order it as a side dish. It's a flavor that I crave regularly♪( ´θ｀)ノ

I visited for lunch and found that they had added some great value set meal options. They have the "Manpuku Set Meal" for 950 yen and the "Ladies Set" for 850 yen. You can choose between the original spicy noodles or tomato-based noodles for the mini spicy noodles. The noodle portion is the same as the Ladies size, but with less soup. I added corn topping for 150 yen. Normally I have level 5 spiciness, so level 3 wasn't quite enough for me, but for 950 yen, this set meal is a great deal!

Sweating while eating spicy noodles is good once in a while. The white spicy noodles with a soy milk base are delicious.
