The roast beef was moist and tender, and it paired well with the special onion sauce. The beef rib was cooked thoroughly but not tough, with little fat. Lunchtime in Tenjin. I was looking for a restaurant that opens at 11 o'clock due to my flight schedule, but I couldn't find one easily. Then I remembered that all the shops in Parco open at 11 o'clock, so I headed straight to Parco! The line at Gokumokuya is getting longer, not as crowded as before the pandemic, but it's coming back. The whole floor is bustling with people. The popular restaurants were already crowded, so I ended up at this place where I could get in quickly. I ordered the beef sukiyaki & roast beef bowl. The menu photos looked delicious and I was drawn to it, but when the bowl arrived, it looked quite different from the menu photo. Hmm... The taste was average, but this kind of thing can be a bit disappointing. There may be a reason why you can get into a restaurant quickly after all.

Parco's "YOSHIMI" serves roast beef bowls. The restaurant used to be an omelette rice shop in Parco's basement, but now it's a place known for its Hokkaido-originated dishes. The most popular item is the beef and grated yam roast beef bowl for 1380 yen. They serve beer in small bottles. I was planning to sip slowly while waiting, but the roast beef and grated yam dish arrived quickly after just a few sips of beer. The ratio of roast beef to grated yam seemed different from the menu image, but I didn't mind and enjoyed the meal. The grated yam was smooth and went well with the meal. The restaurant used to specialize in omurice, but at one point they also served roast beef bowls, so it might be a change in the same company's business model, although I didn't research it, so it could be different. However, the interior of the restaurant has mostly stayed the same, just changing the base color from yellow to red. The showcase with roast beef bowls (mostly raw-looking toppings) in the red-themed interior is a bit scary, but I chose the "Beef Kalbi Roast Beef Bowl for 1,380 yen." You could also get a large portion, but this time I tried the regular size. The bowl came with potato salad, pickles, and soup, making for a satisfying meal. It was delicious.

(2022.08.04) I decided to visit the Fukuoka PARCO underground floor, where popular restaurants gather, including "Gokumiy" offering super rare hamburgers. "Oms," which has been serving pancakes and omurice so far, has completely revamped its menu and changed its name. The restaurant floor has a lively atmosphere, with open pathways and seating areas for most of the shops. The central area of the shop is surrounded by a counter with 6 seats and about 50 tables around it. There seems to be a lot of young female customers, perhaps due to the PARCO location. The restaurant specializes in roast beef and steak, offering dishes such as beef kalbi roast beef bowl, plenty of salmon roe roast beef bowl, Korean-style roast beef bowl, and smoked salmon & roast beef bowl. I chose the "Beef Toro & Roast Beef Bowl." The roast beef slices are about 3mm thick, providing a moist and enjoyable texture. However, the onion sauce topping was a bit too strong, overpowering the aroma of the roast beef. The beef toro flakes, a specialty of the Hokkaido-based restaurant, melted perfectly with the warm rice, offering a delicious and familiar taste.

It's been a while since I had some business in Tenjin, so I decided to stop by Parco. The roast beef was sliced very thinly, and the steak was quite tough to chew. The prices are reasonable, but there are other places on this floor like Gyutan, Tenjin Horumon, and a new building with beef cutlets, creating a competitive meat district. If you're going to this restaurant, you might want to try other meat options as well.

Fukuoka Parco main building basement opened a specialty store for "Roast Beef & Steak" in June. It was previously an omelette rice restaurant. Yoshimi is famous in Hokkaido and has many branches, and I have used their restaurant in Sapporo before. Their retort pouch soup curry is delicious, and I have purchased it several times. ^^ This place seems to focus on "Roast Beef & Steak". The lunch menu seemed like a good deal, but I didn't need drinks or salad, and I'm weak against limited edition items, so I went for the "Fukuoka store limited menu". (^_^; Chicken Nanban & Roast Beef Bowl (1240 yen including tax) The visual of the Chicken Nanban & Roast Beef Bowl is beautiful. The Roast Beef is tender and flavorful, but the Chicken Nanban was surprisingly delicious. The chicken was tender and the tartar sauce had a good flavor. Having both together changes the taste and keeps it interesting. The miso soup with seaweed and nameko mushrooms was surprisingly good. The corn salad and pickles were also tasty. I enjoyed both the Roast Beef and Chicken Nanban. It would be nice to have a small portion of soup curry as a side dish. Maybe it's too much to ask. (^◇^;)

It seems that the store has been transformed into a new concept called "Roast Beef and Steak YOSHIMI" on June 24, 2022, and it has become a popular specialty shop for roast beef and steak as featured on TNC's "Live Broadcast Tenjin Now"! I tried the most popular dish, the "Hokkaido Beef Toro & Roast Beef Bowl" (*^^*)! The beef toro flakes melt in your mouth instantly, providing a rich flavor and sweetness that spreads in your mouth!! The roast beef also has a satisfying texture! It's a luxurious and delicious bowl full of the flavor and sweetness of the meat ( ◠‿◠ )! The special sauce, which includes Hokkaido onions and apples, brings out the deliciousness even more!! The eggs are also a brand called "Kikyo Egg" (*^o^*)! Please note that only beer (small) is available for alcoholic beverages (*^_^*)! I used to like the previous omurice shop, but the deliciousness of this meat is quite impressive (^o^)!

Today's lunch is here, at a new roast beef restaurant next to Umi no Shokudo. It was featured on Saturday's Tenjin Now. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious, with large tables where you can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. I chose the steak and roast beef bowl set from the 7 options available. When eating out, I always like to have salad as well. Do you feed your pets vegetables every day? I don't consume them regularly myself, so it's good to have them as part of a meal. I visited the PARCO restaurant for a roast beef bowl. I didn't know this place changes often, but I was craving meat. They had a Fukuoka-exclusive menu, but I opted for roast beef with chicken nanban, balancing the meat with fish due to my age. I chose a roast beef bowl with salmon and ikura. The salad arrived quickly. The roast beef bowl came next. The meat was delicious, and I enjoyed mixing the rice with the egg yolk in the middle. I also had some ikura, which I think was trout roe. The miso soup with seaweed was tasty, and there was also potato salad and pickles on the side. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This new store opened on June 24 in the basement of Parco. The company is based in Sapporo and has restaurants nationwide. I ordered the 3-item lunch set with roast beef bowl. The Mega Roast Beef Bowl, weighing over 600g. Anyone up for trying it? The cheapest option is the Roast Beef Bowl @ 1073 yen (excluding tax). All the meat-centric menus are appealing! There are also Fukuoka store exclusive menus. The most popular is the Beef Toro & Roast Beef Bowl. I would like to try the popular number one. Oh! The popular number one is currently at a special price until July 3 for the grand opening. I tried the Beef Toro & Roast Beef Bowl @ 1180 yen (tax included). Comes with pickles, potato salad, and miso soup. 4 slices of roast beef and beef toro flakes with an egg yolk in the middle. Looks delicious. Now, let's crush the egg yolk. Put the beef toro flakes on the rice, yes, the richness of the fat spreads. The roast beef is tender and delicious when mixed with the egg yolk. At first, I thought it was expensive, but I decided to try it. After eating, I understood why it was expensive... it was delicious. The taste was amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice, and there were many other menu items that caught my eye, so I would like to try them all someday.

The portion size was unexpectedly small, so I could have probably gone for a large serving.
