◆8-minute walk from the nearest station, Kami-Tobadaguchi Station◆Accepts credit card payments◆Takeout Chocolat Chocolat & Maple Caramel for 1,512 yen◆Impression: It was a very elegant restaurant. I thought it would be great for wedding favors. I tried two flavors, Chocolat Chocolat had nuts in it, and the aroma, flavor, and taste were not too sweet and delicious even without anything added! Maple Caramel, on the other hand, had the sweetness of caramel and was delicious. Both were fluffy! Since they also offer mail order, I would like to try ordering next time.

Gran Marble is a specialty store originating from Kyoto that focuses on Marble Danish pastries. Each Danish pastry is meticulously woven by skilled artisans, resulting in a beautiful marble pattern when sliced, making it visually appealing. Packaged in a luxurious orange wrapping, it is also a popular choice for gifts. With stores mainly in Kyoto and Osaka, I often purchase their pastries when I come across their booth at events in the Kanto region. This time, I received a set of curry and Danish pastries from a senior I am grateful to. The set included Marble Danish and a spice curry that complemented the pastries. The Marble Danish was "Cheese & Bacon," with a bacon that had a more pronounced presence than expected. When lightly toasted and eaten with the spice curry, it was simply delicious! It was so tasty that I forgot to take a photo of the cross-section of the Danish and the curry. Marble Danish pastries usually come in sweet flavors like maple caramel or chocolate, so it was my first time trying a savory option like "Cheese & Bacon." Both sweet and savory options are equally delicious.

I love Danish bread. I am grateful for the delicious encounter with Marble! The Marble Danish bread I tried for the first time is cute and ⭕️ in color. I can fully enjoy the elegance of Kyoto. It brought me a graceful and luxurious moment. All four varieties in the set were great this time.

Grandma Marble is famous for their Danish pastries. I used to be obsessed with them for a while and ate them a lot. A friend brought them as a gift for me. The box is so cute, like something from HER●ES, haha. Eating the rusks with tea is the best combination. Thank you for the meal! (•́✧•̀)

This is a restaurant where the Danish pastries are quite delicious. There is a parking lot in front of the store. I tried the individually wrapped assortment of Kyoto Sanseiro Maple Caramel Danish pastries. The Kyoto Sanseiro has various flavors and is delicious - moist texture, perfect sweetness, all so delicious. The Maple Caramel is rich in sweetness and delicious. Baking it a little enhances the flavor. The staff at the restaurant is also incredibly friendly.

I bought Danish bread at Grandma Marble, a classic Danish bread shop in Kyoto. I tried their limited edition autumn trio. The bread comes in a box to prevent it from crumbling. When sliced with a bread knife, you get three slices of bread. It's a delicious Danish bread with flavors of butter and apple, matcha, and roasted green tea. Toasting it enhances the aroma and sweetness. I'd like to try their other Danish bread varieties as well.

I purchased it at the Kyoto Product Exhibition. There were many types, but I wanted to eat a little bit of each, so I bought a pack of 4 pieces for 999 yen. It includes Kyoto three-color, maple caramel, mocha chocolate, and Gion Tsujiri matcha bean paste. These are delicious.

A wide variety of Danish pastries! It seems like they originated from Denmark! Also known as Danish pastry, it apparently means Danish-style pie sweets. After chatting with the staff about which one to choose, I ended up choosing the orange mango flavor after much consideration! It was a perfect choice! The texture was somewhere between toast and croissant, and it was quite delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The fragrant and moist bread with a fine texture was delicious! It was my first visit to this bakery renowned in Kyoto. I went there on a Sunday morning at 11 o'clock and was able to enter immediately without waiting in line outside. The interior was spacious, bright, and had a clean atmosphere. I ordered the Caramel Chocolate Marble bread, which had a delightful aroma and a moist texture. I enjoyed it very much!

After having lunch, we went to "Gran Marble" to buy the limited-time Gion Tsujiri hojicha black sugar chocolate shokupan. It's irresistible for tea lovers (laughs). The subtle aroma of hojicha and the sweetness of black sugar are a great combination! They also have eat-in options. They do not accept PayPay. There is a parking lot available.

Grand Marble, famous for their Marble Danish, offers takeout options. The stylish boxes, perfect for gifts, contain three varieties: ★Chocolat Chocolat, a chocolate Danish with a satisfying crunch from finely crushed almonds; ★Kyoto Sanshiro, a Danish with plain, strawberry, and Gion Tsujiri matcha flavors, with a strong strawberry aroma; and ★Chestnut and Anko, Gion Tsujiri Special, a Danish true to its name, surprisingly light with plenty of chestnuts. With so many new items to choose from, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Each Danish makes you want to try them all. It was delicious~☆

I visited based on someone's recommendation. Danish bread... and it cost 2000 yen... and it was even packaged like some kind of luxury brand... Maybe because of that, my expectations were a bit too high. The Danish bread itself wasn't that delicious... (Sorry) It lacked the crispy texture and was more like the kind of Danish bread you find at convenience stores, which can be a bit dry. The inside had a cream cheese flavor mixed in, so it was moist, but these days, there are plenty of other moist bread options available. I personally preferred it lightly toasted. It was enjoyable with a crispy and fluffy texture.

- Pros: Can be used as a souvenir - Cons: Limited edition items sell out quickly - Parking available - No specific rules A bakery in Kyoto. There seem to be several branches, but this time I visited the factory-direct store. It's located on a main street. Despite various one-way streets, I managed to find my way to the shop after a bit of struggle. The interior is very spacious and luxurious. The staff are friendly and provide good customer service. It was a little past 2 p.m. on a holiday. It was the third time the "Blanc" bread, which can only be purchased at the factory-direct store, was baked. I hadn't made a reservation, but I thought I might be able to buy it if it was the baking time. I visited with such a casual mindset, but surprisingly, there was only one left in the showcase. I bought the last piece. They advised me to consume it on the same day for the best taste, saying, "It will be delicious if you toast it again." I went home and tried it immediately. The "Blanc" (1,296 yen) first gives off a buttery aroma. I wondered if they had mixed in as much butter as possible in the dough. I tried it as is. The Danish pastry dough is soft inside with a hint of sweetness. Next, I toasted it. The crust became crispy, and the dough felt even more buttery. It's like a cross between a croissant with lots of butter and white bread. It was very delicious. I thought it was indeed a tasty bread. On the other hand, the somewhat high price and the worry of consuming too much buttery calories made me feel like it's a bread that should not be eaten in excess.

First visit! The interior had a luxurious atmosphere and the service was great. Seems like a good choice for a souvenir. - Kyoto Tricolor White, green, and pink looked beautiful. The taste was average. - Maple Caramel I personally wished for a stronger caramel flavor. - Mocha Chocolate The flavor was rich and personally, it was the most delicious among the 4. - Gion Tsujiri Matcha Red bean The matcha flavor felt a bit weak.

Located slightly north of Kyoto Minami IC in Minami-ku, Kyoto, is the "Factory" store of Gran Marble. It's a so-called factory direct sales store. Despite being a factory direct sales store, Gran Marble's shop doesn't have the typical factory atmosphere at all; it's quite stylish, to the point where you might be a little confused upon entering (laughs). It seems they used to operate a cafe on the second floor. Peeking into the showcase, you'll find stylish bread lined up. The prices are also stylish. It was my first time, so I bought a simple yet prestigious item. It's a dish that emphasizes the ingredients and brings out the natural flavors of the ingredients. Each bite contains a chunk of dough from when it was made. It has a dense texture and the more you chew, the sweeter it tastes. It seems like it would be enjoyable to toast it and experience a different crispy texture. It disappeared before I could even try it. There were also chocolates, matcha, and limited-time flavors, so I'd like to try those next time.

I used takeout for souvenirs! It's convenient that there is a parking lot right in front of the store♡ There were many types to choose from, but I ended up buying a regular Danish for now! There were also chocolate crunch and baked goods available. The chocolate crunch had 4 varieties. The crispy texture was stronger than the chocolate flavor! I baked the bread and it was crispy. When I purchased souvenirs, it cost around 10,000 yen.

There were about 10 different types of dense Danish pastries, all of which were very appealing. I bought the seasonal flavor of cherry beans and chestnut, and when toasted, the butter was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, very delicious. It lasts for a week, so it's also good as a souvenir. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Grand Marble Factory Store @ Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto City, Minami-ku, Kamitoba Kitashimadacho 93 Nearest Station: Kamitoba-guchi Station - 10 minutes on foot Closed on: No regular holidays Business information notice HP Twitter -------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------- TP3.67 (200 items) [Bread] Kyoto Prefecture 22 Kyoto City 20 Minami-ku 1 [Sweets] Kyoto Prefecture 61 Kyoto City 59 Minami-ku 1 [Top 100 Bread Shops] Nationwide 186 Kyoto Prefecture 23 Kyoto City 21 Minami-ku 1 -------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------- 2022/2 Holiday evening First visit Grand Marble, which has multiple stores mainly in Kyoto, to the factory-direct store - is everything made here?! Arrived around 1640, saw the sign by car, hurriedly entered the parking lot which seemed to be part of the factory. At this point, I didn't notice that there was a dedicated sales store next to it, "??". Workers who seemed to be from the factory were coming and going, and there was no particular greeting, just a normal factory. Looking at the old reviews, I entered from the unadorned entrance and went up the stairs - there's a cafe? Is that true?? (;゚;∀;゚;) When I called, they were open as usual, and they said, "Please enter from the entrance visible from the parking lot." Oh, that's right, let's go. When I tried to enter with determination, a voice from the side said, "Excuse me, are you the one who just called?" and I was guided to the official store safely. The store also had an unadorned, simple, and plain appearance, so it's not easy to arrive normally on the first visit, right? Of course, the main attraction is the Marble Danish. There are so many varieties, and they are quite pricey - ranging from ¥1188 to ¥1944. While also being drawn to Mocha Chocolate, Kinako Mochi, and Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc, I hesitated and chose this one: Marble Danish Maple Caramel ¥1296. After returning home, I tried it out - a rich flavor and richness with a double play of maple and caramel. The sweetness is light, and the aroma of wheat is strong. It's chewy as it is, and if you bake it, it becomes fluffy and crispy, making it a quartet of enjoyment. It was well received by my family.
